I was unexpectedly impressed with my experience here. Honestly I think the vast majority of Chinese/Asian on the Alabama Gulf Coast is pig slop, so maybe my expectations have been lowered over the years, bit this place reminded me of the good Chinese I had growing up in Birmingham. Although it was all the same basic stuff you'd find anywhere, the quality of both the meats used and the sauces were a step above the local buffets and to go shops. Where most places have some generic brown flavorless sauce with the consistency of cow snot on everything, here the dishes I tried all had specific flavor profiles and the sauces were thick but not gummy. The Shanghai chicken and the General Tso's chicken, while both "fried chicken in spicy sauce" were entirely distinct from one another. Service was good, and I felt like I was being served by family instead of employees. I also really liked the sweet tea. The only letdown was one person in my party wanted a soft drink and was served a glass of ice and a can of Coke - no fountain drinks here! Overall, it's probably the best Chinese food I've had in the area and certainly leagues better than the places where I live in Baldwin County. This will definitely be worth returning to next time I cross the bay to visit Mobile.

Asian Garden is truly a hidden gem for anyone looking for authentic Chinese cuisine. The dishes are simply outstanding, with flavors that take you straight to China. The Cantonese Roast Duck is perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The Steamed Fish is fresh, delicate, and melts in your mouth, while the Seafood Tofu Casserole is a hearty dish packed with rich flavors. The restaurant itself is spotless, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always make sure you have everything you need. If you’re a fan of authentic Chinese food or just want to experience excellent flavors, Asian Garden is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Been a while since I’ve been here and I had forgotten how delish this place is. We arrived for lunch and I got the General Tsos and it came with rice and soup of choice - opted for white rice and wonton soup. The soup came out hot and they serve it with a small plate of freshly fried wonton strips, a small spring roll and two Rangoon. My guest got the Sesame chicken, we split a veggie lo-Mein and got an app of crab Rangoon. All of the food was hot temperature, which I appreciate. They serve tea and coke products. They serve you a can and you get one extra can as your free refill. Great prices, service was excellent! HUGE menu and kid options too. A lot of to go orders was being picked up while we were there too.

Omg I was starving so bad and my sister told me not to go there but I was the most convenient at the time. Boy I should have listen. I ordered the Shanghai chicken, spring rolls, crabmeat Rangoon and egg drop soup. The entrees meat tasted watered down. The crabmeat Rangoon had absolutely not flavor so did the egg drop soup. The only item worth eating was the spring roll and I could only eat one because it was drenched in cooking oil. I will never return. I gave the rest of the entree to my dogs.

Excellent food and menu selection. A little pricey, but worth it for a great meal. Decent service. I would love to rate 5 stars instead of 3. I really enjoy the food, but in the span of less than 3 months, it became yet another Asian-owned establishment I had to stop patronizing. Why? Because of the unnecessary, yet inevitable racism this culture displays towards African Americans. My husband and I interact with the world the way we naturally are, incredibly respectful. So to receive this treatment at some point every time we find an Asian-owned establishment we enjoy, is always disappointing. At first, we receive cordiality as every customer should, then over time, snide and rude interactions from some staff members that continue until we decide to no longer go. Every time this happens to us, I stop going and inform others I know that this is yet another business that, ignorantly so, puts prejudice over professionalism.
