About Asian Express

Welcome to Asian Express, a local restaurant situated at 6525 Calhoun Memorial Hwy in Easley, South Carolina, serving the community with a unique blend of both Chinese and Japanese cuisine. As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category, Asian Express distinguishes itself by also offering a selection of Japanese dishes, providing a broader range of Asian flavors for local diners to enjoy. This dual offering makes it a potentially appealing option for individuals or groups with varied culinary preferences.

Based on recent customer feedback, Asian Express appears to offer a generally positive dining experience, with one reviewer describing it as a "pretty good little restaurant of Chinese and Japanese cuisine." This initial positive impression is further supported by comments on the "great service" and the cleanliness of the establishment. These aspects of service and environment can significantly contribute to a pleasant dining experience, making Asian Express a potentially welcoming place to enjoy a meal.

The same reviewer also noted that there is a "los if food for the money," which seems to be a typographical error but likely intended to convey that there is a good amount of food provided for the price. This suggests that Asian Express offers value in terms of portion sizes relative to cost, which can be an important consideration for many diners.

However, another customer shared an experience that highlights a potential area for improvement in terms of order accuracy and communication. This reviewer, who expressed a love for Chinese food, found the food to be "good" but felt "a bit misled" regarding their order. They specifically inquired about lunch or dinner plates that would include a meat, rice or noodles, and an egg roll. They were informed that lunch plates were available and proceeded to order a large orange chicken and a small boneless rib lunch plate.

The customer reported receiving a large portion of chicken with some orange peels, which they were unsure if it qualified as traditional "orange chicken," a small portion of boneless ribs, and a single small tub of rice. They noted the absence of the expected egg roll and the fact that what they received did not align with their understanding of a "lunch plate" as described. This experience indicates a potential discrepancy between customer expectations, based on their inquiry, and the actual items received. While the food itself was deemed "good," the unmet expectations regarding the composition of the lunch plates were a point of dissatisfaction for this customer.

Given the limited information available in these reviews, it is difficult to provide a comprehensive description of the restaurant's environment beyond the mention of it being "very clean." Typically, restaurants offering both Chinese and Japanese cuisine might have décor that subtly incorporates elements from both cultures, aiming for a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for a diverse clientele. However, without further details, this remains speculative.

In terms of services, Asian Express likely offers standard restaurant services, including dine-in options where customers can enjoy their meals on-site, as well as takeout services for those who prefer to eat elsewhere. Given the phone and mobile phone numbers provided ((864) 859-8880 and +1 864-859-8880), customers can likely place orders for pickup over the phone. It is not explicitly mentioned whether delivery services are available, so local users may need to inquire directly about this option.

The features of Asian Express lie in its dual offering of Chinese and Japanese cuisine. This allows diners to choose from a wide array of dishes, potentially including popular Chinese-American fare such as General Tso's Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, various stir-fried dishes, and noodle and rice specialties. On the Japanese side, the menu might include sushi, sashimi, teriyaki dishes, tempura, and other traditional Japanese preparations. This variety is a significant feature, catering to different preferences within one establishment.

The review mentioning the inquiry about lunch and dinner plates suggests that Asian Express does offer some form of combination meals, at least during lunch hours. These often provide a more economical way to sample a variety of items. However, the discrepancy experienced by the customer regarding the contents of these plates indicates that there might be a need for clearer communication or more standardized offerings for these meal combinations. Potential customers seeking specific items within a lunch or dinner plate should perhaps clarify the exact components when placing their order to avoid any misunderstandings.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available in the provided reviews for Asian Express in Easley. Restaurants often have lunch specials, daily deals, or other promotions to attract customers. To find out about any current offers at Asian Express, local users are encouraged to contact the restaurant directly at the provided phone numbers. Inquiring about lunch specials, combination deals, or any other ongoing promotions could enhance the value of a meal at Asian Express.

In conclusion, Asian Express in Easley, SC, presents itself as a restaurant with the unique feature of offering both Chinese and Japanese cuisine. While customers have generally noted good service, cleanliness, and potentially generous portions for the price, one recent experience highlights a need for clarity and accuracy in fulfilling orders, particularly regarding lunch plate expectations. For local residents looking for a restaurant that offers a diverse range of Asian flavors, Asian Express is an option worth considering. However, it may be beneficial to communicate clearly about order specifics to ensure satisfaction. For the latest information on their menu, hours, and any special offers, contacting the restaurant directly is recommended.

I love Chinese food. This food was good but I was a bit misled on what I would be receiving. I specifically asked if they had any lunch or dinner plates to include a meat, rice or noodle, and an egg roll. They said they had lunch plates and asked if I wanted a large or small. I ordered a large orange chicken and a small boneless rib lunch plates. I got a large thing of chicken. It had some orange peels in it but I’m not sure if I would call it orange chicken. I got a small boneless rib. And a single small tub of rice. I did not get lunch plates. So, the food was good but was not what I wanted or expected.

Great Asian restaurant. The Happy Family was unbelievable. Loved it. Order take out and it was ready in 15 min just like they said. Restaurant is small with only a couple of tables.

Huge menu!! And, apparently very popular amongst the people. There was a steady flow of folks in and out picking up their orders while I was there. There are also a limited amount of tables so that you can dine in, if that’s what you prefer. I got the Sesame Chicken combo plate. It comes with pork fried rice and an egg roll. So. Much. Food. Definitely enough for two meals. Really tasty sesame chicken that’s a touch on the sweet side and relatively mild on the heat scale. I also enjoyed the fried rice and really wish I had taken a photo of the egg roll because it’s one of the better tasting ones I’ve had in awhile. Super crispy and it actually had flavor. 🙌 I would definitely come back here when the craving hits again.

Ok so the food was worth the buy honestly. Great taste and big portion. The space is quite small tbh. The lady was nice but I got no refill. They have a space to leave a tip but why? They don't refill drinks. I would still eat here again regardless. I'm so stuffed after that I really don't want to work lol I'd day stop in to check them out if you like Asian styled foods.
