About Asian Express

Asian Express is a quick-service restaurant situated at 101 5th St E # 285 in St Paul, MN. Serving the local area, it offers a range of dishes for customers looking for a fast meal. Located within a commercial building, the restaurant provides a convenient option for those working or visiting the downtown St Paul area.

The environment of Asian Express is likely geared towards efficiency and quick turnover, typical of a fast-food or quick-service establishment. Customers can anticipate a functional space designed for ordering and picking up food, with limited seating possibly available for those wishing to eat on-site. The focus is on providing a fast and convenient dining solution for individuals with time constraints.

Based on the limited reviews available, the service and food quality at Asian Express appear to be areas of concern for some customers. One reviewer recounted an experience where they ordered General Tso's chicken and found the sauce to be watery and the chicken to be reheated from the lunch counter rather than freshly prepared. This customer also reported that the egg rolls they received were cold and expressed dissatisfaction with the $15 lunch, stating they would not return.

Another review detailed a negative interaction regarding payment, where the customer felt they were treated unfairly when using their debit card, alleging racial bias. This reviewer also expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the food, describing it as "jail slop" and "literal trash bucket juice," particularly singling out the chow mein as the worst they had ever eaten. These strong negative sentiments suggest significant issues with both the service and the food quality as perceived by these customers.

While the specific features of Asian Express, such as popular dishes or specialties, are not highlighted in the provided reviews, the mention of General Tso's chicken and chow mein indicates that the restaurant offers common American Chinese fare. Quick-service restaurants like Asian Express typically aim to provide a variety of familiar dishes at a fast pace.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for Asian Express based on the provided text. Ordered Sesame Chicken for takeaway later in the afternoon, needed to wait a bit for it to be prepared which was no issue as it was no longer the lunch rush. Upon arriving home with my order the Sesame chicken had been cooked with so much sugar it was akin to eating candied chicken, it had also been placed into styrofoam containers at such heat it melted to the chicken as well. The fried rice was also somehow very grey, only edible portion of this meal was the egg roll.

The food is horrible save your money and go to the grocery store. All their food is fried to the max it never tastes good. Not just once or twice but all the time. 100% breading and 2% chicken. Never is good even their egg rolls are horrible. Go to a different restaurant.

The wonton noodle soup, with the chili oil, is out of this world. By and far my favorite soup in the cities. Great array of textures, savor and spice, and the perfect amount of food. Great anytime of year, tho I especially love it in the summer. The staff are also always warm to greet you, super fast in getting your order out, and just very kind folk.
