This is my local “Chinese food” place that I frequent. It is definitely Americanized. It reminds me of a little hold in the wall take out place I used to go to in college. The service is will always great and the bar is always bumpin. Some of the food is awesome: the sushi, the friend rice and the noodles come to mind. The noodles are not greasy like they can be at some places and the rice I’ve had has always been fresh. Tonight we ordered the noodles. A pork fried rice, and a hit and sour soup; all delicious. We also had a pepper steak that was really good. The crab rangoon were definitely all cream cheese and the sweet and sour chicken was very much more sweet than sour. If you have the right expectations, it can be a nice time.
My husband and I went on a Friday night. I was amazed, I have never seen so many people laughing and having fun at an Asian restaurant before. The bar was packed with people enjoying food and drinks. We sat at our table, and our server was very pleasant. She recommended a few dishes for us to try. She then asked us what size lomein we wanted. We both were stunned. We have never been to a place that has offered different sizes for fried rice or lomein. The food came out quick, and let me tell you, the general tso chicken was so good! The chicken was juicy and flavorful. We had to stop eating it so we could have leftovers the next day. 😋 The lomein was really good, I loved that you could tell it was cooked in a wok over fire. It had a smokey taste to it. Will definitely be going back to try more Chinese food and to try the sushi.
Wow. This is not good. Chicken fried rice Hunan pork pad Thai. The people of hooksett should revolt. Unacceptable for the price. For that price I would expect fresh food not something that was prepared Monday. It's Friday. It took 20 minutes to box up. Everything overcooked. I won't make this mistake again. The staff were there. The beer is cold.
Service was horrible, when we asked for size of the roles the waiter just said, “what have you never been to a Japanese place before?” In a very smug know it all tone. The sushimi we got wasn’t bad, but service and everything was extremely slow. When we go our fish it was dry, and when we finished they suddenly became really attentive and efficient at getting the check. There was also definitely racism going on here, we were served before a lot of other people and they seemed to avoid Asians. If you have decent values don’t come here, they’re two sided individuals and I’ll never be coming back here again.
Don’t go! I took my son to their restaurant for sushi. The owner seemed friendly enough, but one of the servers was extremely rude. When I asked about the size and price of certain sushi items, he impatiently asked if I had ever eaten sushi before, adding that all sushi is the same everywhere. Meanwhile, he was all smiles and incredibly accommodating to the white customers behind me. I can’t help but feel that my Asian appearance had something to do with the way I was treated. Throughout our entire meal, he ignored us completely. We didn’t even get water until we had to tell the owner. The owner had to call him over just to bring and refill our water. Despite everything, we still left him a $10 tip because we saw that he was much older. However, it’s disappointing to see someone of his age still immersed in such ignorance and misunderstanding of Asians and racial equality. Ironically, he himself has an Asian face. I didn’t eat anything from their restaurant—I just ordered a sushi entrée for my son. It was such a disgusting experience that I’ll never go back. I ended up going to a nearby restaurant to have my dinner instead.
