About Asia Restaurant

Asia Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant located at 133 Depot St in Lyndonville, Vermont. Previously offering dine-in services, recent feedback indicates that Asia Restaurant has transitioned to a takeout-only model. As a local Chinese eatery, it aims to provide the community with a variety of Asian dishes.

Recent customer reviews present a somewhat mixed picture of the current state of Asia Restaurant. One reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction, noting a perceived decline in food quality since the shift to takeout only. They reported issues such as hard rice, hard and chewy orange chicken that was also described as fatty on the inside, and dry teriyaki sticks. While the chicken fingers were deemed "okay," they were not considered good. This customer lamented what they perceived as a prioritization of quantity over quality, expressing that a meal for two costing over $40 was a waste, with a large portion of the food being inedible and thrown away. Additionally, this reviewer mentioned being charged for a large chicken chow mein despite ordering a small, further contributing to their disappointment. They also raised concerns about pricing practices, alleging that a $5 tip was automatically added to their takeout order, in addition to the presence of a tip jar at the establishment, which they found "not cool."

In contrast, another reviewer expressed a strong positive sentiment, stating, "Love the food!" They also praised the owners as being "always bright and cheerful" and indicated that they would frequent the restaurant weekly if their budget allowed. This review suggests that some customers continue to have a favorable experience with the food and appreciate the demeanor of the owners.

The contrasting nature of these reviews highlights a potential inconsistency in the current offerings at Asia Restaurant, particularly since its transition to takeout only. While one customer experienced significant issues with food quality and pricing practices, another maintains a strong positive opinion of the food and owners.

For local users in Lyndonville considering Asia Restaurant for takeout, it is important to be aware of this mixed feedback. The negative review raises concerns about the freshness and quality of certain dishes, as well as potential issues with order accuracy and pricing transparency regarding tips. On the other hand, the positive review suggests that the food can still be enjoyable for some, and the owners are regarded as friendly.

Given the limited information about the environment and services beyond the takeout model, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of these aspects. The focus of the recent feedback has been primarily on the food quality post-transition and the pricing/tipping practices for takeout orders.

Asia Restaurant can be contacted at (802) 626-3382 or +1 802-626-3382. Their address is 133 Depot St, Lyndonville, VT 05851, USA. Local users may wish to contact the restaurant directly to inquire about their current menu, preparation methods for takeout, and pricing policies.

In conclusion, Asia Restaurant in Lyndonville, VT, currently operating as a takeout-only establishment, has received mixed reviews regarding its food quality and service since this change. While some customers continue to enjoy the food and appreciate the owners, recent feedback also indicates concerns about food freshness, preparation, order accuracy, and potential automatic tipping on takeout orders. Local users should consider these varying experiences when deciding whether to place an order with Asia Restaurant.

It is advisable for potential customers to weigh the positive feedback regarding the owners and the potential for enjoyable food against the negative experiences reported concerning food quality and pricing practices. Direct communication with the restaurant may provide further clarity on their current offerings and policies.

The food has gone waaaay down Hill since it changed to take out only. I calculated the amount it should have been and the total was $5 more, so they add their own tips in for take-out now... as well as have a tip jar? Not cool. the food had been sitting for a while, I could tell because my rice was hard, the orange chicken was hard on the outside and fatty and chewy on the inside. Teriyaki sticks were dry, chicken fingers were okay, not good but okay. it's a shame they are now more concerned about quantity over quality. what a waste of $40+ for two people to eat. Asked for a small chicken chow mein, was charged for and given a large, half of that is getting thrown away as well as 90% of our plates. Its a shame

Definitely over priced for the quality $23 for Singapore mie fun and a small egg drop soup..which was bland in flavor for sure looked more a lobster sauce...the noodles definitely needed more flavor..I think they forgot to add eggs and curry wasn't even spicy.....if you order the egg drop soup they charge a extra $2 ...$25 was my order ..very disappointing ...I don't think I'll go back
