About Asia Market Thai Lao Food

Asia Market Thai Lao Food, situated at 3620 N Main St in Houston, TX, offers a meal takeaway service specializing in Thai and Lao cuisine. While categorized under a "Chinese Restaurant" platform, this establishment functions as both a small grocery store and a restaurant.

The grocery section is noted to be limited in size and options. However, the restaurant portion has received varied feedback. Despite this, they acknowledged it as a good overall experience.

In contrast, another customer strongly recommends Asia Market Thai Lao Food, claiming it to be the most authentic Thai restaurant in Houston. They praised the delicious food, the amazing service from the staff, and the presence of different produce due to the market aspect. Came to explore Asian groceries around Houstan and we discovered this place. The grocery section is very small and has very limited options in term of groceries. Another part of this place served as a small restaurant that serves, of course, thai food. The food is okay and their service is fine but there's lot more room for improvement when it comes to the taste. We tried few dishes and one of it was Tom Yam soup, a dish that Thais are most known with. It was just ok. Nevertheless it's a good experience.

10/10 totally recommend! Their food is the most authentic Thai restaurant in HOUSTON! And I mean it! From the yummy food to the amazing service the staff has to the different produce because it is a market. I recommend the pad Thai (beef) and the pad see ew (beef).

Great place to meet a friend for lunch, the green curry is pretty good as well as the chicken Larb. Great Thai groceries: you can get kaffir like leaves (and tree on special order) as well as all the special Thai cooking utensils like steamer basket and curry paste mortar/pestle.

One-stop place for food and groceries. The food was decent overall. Among the dishes we tried, I would recommend the Asia Sampler. However, the Tom Yum soup lacked the depth of flavor and the kick of Thai spice that I was hoping for. The sticky mango rice was slightly undercooked, and the Tiger Cry didn’t quite deliver the expected heat. I must admit, I was a bit disappointed. Perhaps the noodles and curries might be a hit there but we didn’t order them. Perhaps next time if we would dine here again.

After multiple recommendations we stopped in for dinner this is an Asian store with a restaurant as well like a michoacana meat market. The food was really good everything we had was amazing, however the service was very slow they only have like 2 waitress you also have to seat yourselves and the seating area is very small maybe 8 tables for like 30 people. When you finish you have to go pay at counter. Overall its just a very unorganized dining experience. If your in a hurry this is not your spot you will be waiting a lot. The food makes this spot a must try if your not in a hurry.
