About Asia Delight

Welcome to Asia Delight, a Chinese restaurant situated at 26930 Hesperian Boulevard in Hayward, California. This establishment serves the local community with a variety of Chinese dishes, primarily catering to those seeking convenient takeout options and reasonably priced meals. While some reviews suggest the food may not be the absolute best, it is generally considered decent, filling, and often fresh, making it a reliable choice for a quick and satisfying Chinese meal.

Regarding the environment of Asia Delight, one customer advises not to be misled by its appearance, stating, "Don't let the look fool you." This suggests that the exterior or interior ambiance might be unassuming or not particularly impressive. However, this comment is followed by the reassurance that the food is still "decent," implying that the focus is more on the quality and value of the food rather than the dining atmosphere. Another reviewer simply mentions "Great Chinese to go dishes," which further emphasizes the restaurant's orientation towards takeout rather than an elaborate dine-in experience. Therefore, local users prioritizing convenience and value over ambiance might find Asia Delight suitable for their needs.

In terms of services, Asia Delight appears to primarily focus on takeout orders. The positive mention of "Great Chinese to go dishes" underscores this aspect of their service. Additionally, they offer "Party trays," which is a significant feature for customers looking to cater events or gatherings with Chinese cuisine. This suggests that Asia Delight can handle larger orders and provides options suitable for groups. While dine-in service is not explicitly mentioned or discouraged, the emphasis on takeout in the reviews implies that it might be a less prominent aspect of their business. The mention of "Very nice people" suggests that the customer service, at least during order placement and pickup, is friendly and pleasant.

A key feature of Asia Delight is the general quality and value of its food. One reviewer notes that they "still got the plug on decent Chinese food," indicating a consistent ability to provide satisfying meals. The food is described as "filling" and "most of the time fresh," which are important considerations for takeout where freshness can sometimes be a concern. However, the same reviewer also points out a potential drawback, mentioning that "Some foods after the rush can be dry and over sauced." This suggests that the quality might vary depending on the time of day and how recently the food was prepared, with potential issues arising during slower periods. The specific mention of "Thin noodles tap in" is somewhat ambiguous but might refer to a particular dish or a preferred type of noodle available at the restaurant.

An update from one reviewer indicates a potential shift in some aspects of the restaurant's offerings. They noted that "portions seem to be smaller than before." This could be a point of concern for regular customers who appreciated the previous portion sizes. The same update also mentioned encountering "a few doughy pieces of fish and spicy chicken," suggesting potential inconsistencies in food preparation or ingredient quality. However, this reviewer also acknowledged that the "prices are still reasonable," indicating that while some aspects might have changed, the affordability remains a key characteristic of Asia Delight.

Despite some of the mixed feedback, another reviewer strongly praises Asia Delight for not cheating on "quantity as well as quality" and for having "Very reasonable prices." This positive assessment contradicts the comment about smaller portions to some extent and reinforces the perception of good value for money. It's possible that experiences may vary, or that certain dishes consistently offer better quality and quantity than others.

Regarding promotional information, the provided reviews do not explicitly mention any current deals, discounts, or special offers at Asia Delight. The availability of "Party trays" could be considered a form of catering promotion for larger groups. Local users interested in learning about any specific promotions, such as daily specials, family meal deals, or discounts on certain items, should contact the restaurant directly at (510) 782-8699 or mobile at +1 510-782-8699. Inquiring about their menu and any current promotions could help in making a more informed decision about ordering from them.

In conclusion, Asia Delight in Hayward offers a convenient option for local users seeking reasonably priced Chinese takeout. While the ambiance might be unremarkable, the food is generally considered decent, filling, and often fresh. They also provide party trays for larger orders. Potential drawbacks mentioned in reviews include occasional dryness or over-saucing of food, potentially smaller portion sizes than in the past, and inconsistencies in the quality of some dishes like fish and spicy chicken. However, the consistently praised reasonable prices and the positive feedback on not skimping on quantity and quality by at least one reviewer suggest that Asia Delight can still be a good value choice for everyday Chinese takeout. It might be wise for new customers to try a few different dishes to gauge the quality and consistency based on their own preferences.
