Applebee's Grill + Bar

My husband and I frequent Applebee's often when we're traveling. We had the privilege of the best experience at Applebee's in Portage Mi last week. Our Bartender, Aurora, was absolutely amazing,not only is she very knowledgeable about mixed drinks, but she's very friendly and social. Made out night out awesome! Also, praise to our waitress, Abby, very tentative to ALL our needs for dinner, glad we relied on her recommendation for the apple pie skillet! Also very polite and sociable. Great drinks,great appetizer and great conversations. We will be back!

Ordered carry out food and waited over 30 minutes PAST the pickup time to receive our order. The chicken was burnt to a crisp, there was little to no sauce on the pasta, and we were given the wrong drinks. Any experience with this location has never been pleasant carry out or dine in!

I’ll be honest I’m not a huge fan of chain places, but this is where my mom want to eat for Christmas dinner. The food was OK, but the reason I felt compelled to leave a review was that the service was great. I understand the service industry is overworked, underpaid, etc, etc so when you get a good waitress or waiter, you can’t help but want to acknowledge them. We had a group of around 10 people and the drinks were never empty and the food came out pretty quick.

Food was good. Had the 2 for $30, steak and shrimp. Service was slow, lunch crowd was thinnig out so expected to wait but we had to ask hostess for water. Appetizer and salads took over 10 minutes. Meals came out fairly soon after salads but had to ask for butter twice. Never returned to refill water. Had to wait for take home boxes and bill also. Hate dissing on waitresses cause I know they work hard but ours was inattentive I thought.

Loved the waitress MJ, she deserves a raise and more respect for all her contributions to us customers! She was a real delight and took care of us all night, I really enjoyed her dedication to keeping us entertained and
