Applebee's Grill + Bar

The restaurant was busy on the day i stopped by. We ordered a well-done steak but they made a rare steak instead. We asked them to grill it again because the children couldn’t the meal. However, they didn’t grill it but instead put the steak into a microwave. I understand that the restaurant was busy but that’s not how you fix the issue. I wouldn’t come back again.

My friend and I went to Applebees on 09/5/2024 at about 9:30. We were in a really good mood, it was a birthday hangout, we’ve just seen Beetlejuice. We walked in, and some short petite light skinned girl greeted us (or the lack there of) her face spoke before she did, no eye contact at all. She didn’t say hi or anything. We were greeted with a very cold “How many.” We said 2, she said “iight, y’all 2 come this way,” she put the menus on the table, and said “Your waitress will be right over” in the most “Squidward” mono tone voice I’ve ever heard. We sat down and noticed right away, that our table was sticky and dirty. A table across from us had a broom leaned up against it (just felt dirty) the drink/cocktail menu had a piece of food on it 🤢. Working in the restaurant industry myself although now in college to become an “Addictions Clinician,” those menus are supposed to be sprayed and wiped down. Our waitress was nice, although she didn’t say “Hi my name is ________ and I’ll be your server for tonight.” She made a lot of small talk, not sure if it was to get a good tip or not, but I do respect that she told the cooks to make fresh grilled onions and mushrooms for me, as the ones they were going to use were “All gross and slimy looking.” As a former Chef, that means they were not sitting at the right temp for a very long time and bacteria had started to break it down. Overall experience was just okay, would I return “HELL NO.” Left the waitress a $20 tip, and got a very cold “Thank you” after all of the extra theatrics before the bill was paid 😂 Y’all be good out here, customer service and cleanliness is scarce out here ✌🏾

Our server was the best part of the night (Liz.) Unfortunately she, and her drink recommendation, was the only good thing about the night. Our appetizer, spinach and artichoke dip, which we always love, was obviously OLD and reheated. My chicken wonton tacos were obnoxiously spicy, more than they should have been. The worst part was while we know Applebees is not a steakhouse, they prepared TWO steaks not as ordered and plated both plates terribly. Blood was all over both plates, affecting the sides ordered with the steak. Neither the mashed potatoes nor the cheesy broccoli were plated professionally. Very disappointed overall tonight.

The service was terrible. Me and my boyfriend went in, we literally stood in the front of the store for roughly 8 minutes, no hostess or anyone came to greet us. We finally got seated and it took another good 10 minutes for our waiter to come, (not blaming her) and get our drinks ordered, and by that time we knew what we wanted for food as well. We waited another 25 minutes with no appetizers or entrees given to us, no one came by to update us or apologize for the delay at all. We ended up leaving only having gotten our drinks. Terrible place honestly wish I could give 0 stars.

It was the worse meal I had. The burger was over done and dry. The fresh were not cooked . The roll on the burger was burnt. I did say something to the manager and all he gave me was 13.00 dollars off. I was with my son.so we order the 2 for 26.00. My bill should have been free. My meal was the same way. Very very disappointed. I'll never go back.
