Applebee's Grill + Bar

We decided to do a Applebees on a date night, and yes, my honey got the Oreo shake. Our server, Tim, was amazing. The place was slammed and he didn’t miss a beat. We started with the classic combo appetizer, it was good… though the spinach dip seemed different than before. I had the sweet and spicy chicken sandwich, and my honey had the bacon cheddar chicken sandwich. Both were great, but be warned, they are huge. Like really huge. Overall, a great night.

I came here a few weeks ago with my friend. It was my first time ever going to an Applebees. It was a Saturday night so the restaurant was packed. However we waited no more than 10 minutes for a table. Our server was nice, no complaints about her. But, our utensils were dirty. It was so disgusting. Thankfully our server didn’t give us a hard time and went and got clean ones for us. We got waters for our drinks and it tasted so bad. It tasted like sink water. I’ve been to other restaurants and their water didn’t taste like that. Our food took awhile to come out since it was busy. My friend got chicken, shrimp and mushrooms and I just got a steak. My steak was alright but my friend wasn’t the biggest fan of her food. It was bland. Chain restaurants are often a hit or miss. I feel like this place is a miss. The fact that the utensils were dirty was just a huge turn off. At a restaurant you should expect the utensils to be clean. I definitely wouldn’t come here again.

We recently had the pleasure of dining in at the Applebee’s in Plainville after not going in a while, and it was a delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed by the cozy ambiance and friendly staff. Manager Luis deserves a special mention. His warm smile, pleasant personality, and attentive service truly made our visit memorable. Luis went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great time and that our food was to our liking! It’s rare to find such a dedicated manager who genuinely cares about guests. The food was also delicious, especially the bourbon street mushroom burger, which was big and juicy, and the quesadilla salad, which was a nice generous portion for the price! I was also impressed with the amount of shrimp inside the flavorsome Southwest Shrimp bowl! We will definitely come back again soon with our friends and family to see Luis and taste more of their tasty food!

It’s Applebees..I generally go to stores that are under 4* for reviews with a consensus to not expect too much other than the food ordered and it could be hit or miss. Food - Got the all you can eat special with the wings and fries with the Cole slaw, second plate..switched up and got the ribs/riblets, 3rd plate went back to the wings..should’ve stayed with the wings. As far as food goes..the ribs are why the star got dropped. Service - They only had 2 waitresses working, the third had to leave so they shut that side of the restaurant down..the two waitresses absolutely busted their tails as there was 10 out of 14 tables full of people, people would leave and others would come right in. Parking - It’s in front of a shopping center…there’s loads of parking and separate for curbside and handicapped spaces. Bathrooms - Clean This is my second time coming here in about 3 weeks. Strictly because of the “ribs” is why I gave this a 4* review, and I don’t know if they classify them as ribs or riblets. I see others posting about bad experiences; I can’t speak to that as both times I’ve been here, I haven’t had an issue with the food or with the service. On a scale of 1-10, I would prolly go with a solid 8.

Basic American food, my mozzarella sticks tasted like cleaning product. Barely any meat in the boneless wings, it was all breading. Service and wait staff are excellent
