About Apple Green Bistro
Welcome to Apple Green Bistro, a Chinese restaurant situated at 10885 N Wolfe Rd in Cupertino, California. As part of the diverse culinary landscape of Cupertino, Apple Green Bistro offers a range of Chinese dishes to cater to local diners. This introduction aims to provide a detailed and objective overview of the restaurant based on the available customer reviews, focusing on the environment, services, features of their cuisine, and any indications of pricing or popular items that might be relevant to potential customers.
Environment:
One reviewer noted that Apple Green Bistro is "clearly a Chinese restaurant that many would visit on a random basis," attributing this partly to its location "amongst a lot of stores that have Chinese on their titles or related to Chinese culture in an outlet format in Cupertino." This suggests that the restaurant is situated in an area with a significant Chinese cultural presence and is likely a convenient and accessible dining option for those in the vicinity. The description implies a casual and perhaps unpretentious setting, suitable for regular visits rather than special occasions, though this is not explicitly stated. The fact that it's located amongst other similar establishments suggests a competitive environment, where Apple Green Bistro likely aims to stand out through its food and service.
The reviews do not offer extensive details about the interior decor or ambiance. However, the mention of it being a place for "random" visits might imply a comfortable and familiar setting for those accustomed to Chinese restaurants. Without further information, local users might want to consider its location within a hub of Chinese-related businesses as an indicator of its accessibility and potential authenticity.
Services:
Based on the nature of a bistro and the comments in the reviews, it can be inferred that Apple Green Bistro offers both dine-in and takeout services. The mention of a "three-course" meal suggests a full dining experience is available on-site. While delivery service is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, it is a common offering for many restaurants today. Local users interested in delivery should contact Apple Green Bistro directly to inquire about its availability, potential delivery radius, and any associated fees or minimum order requirements.
The first reviewer commented that "the food and service are good," indicating a positive experience with the staff and the efficiency of the service provided. This is a crucial aspect for any dining establishment and suggests that customers can expect a satisfactory level of hospitality at Apple Green Bistro. However, the second reviewer's neutral to slightly negative overall impression might suggest some variability in the service or overall experience depending on individual preferences and expectations.
Features:
The customer reviews highlight several specific dishes at Apple Green Bistro, providing insights into their menu and potential specialties. One reviewer proclaimed that the "iron plates seafood tofu" is "probably the best in the Bay Area!" This strong endorsement suggests that this dish is a standout and a must-try for seafood and tofu lovers. The use of an "iron plate" typically implies a dish served sizzling hot, which can enhance both the flavor and the dining experience.
Another reviewer praised the "vegetable tofu in brown sauce" as their "best dish," noting that it was "flavorful enough to enjoy various kinds of flavors." This indicates that Apple Green Bistro excels in tofu preparations, offering both seafood and vegetable options that are well-received for their taste.
In contrast, the reviewer who tried the "Kung Pao Chicken" found it to be "pretty standard" and "good enough to make myself full," suggesting it met basic expectations but wasn't particularly exceptional. Their experience with the "black mushroom with vegetables" was less positive, as they noted a "strong flavor" in the mushrooms that was not balanced by the lack of flavor in the vegetables, and the dish lacked sufficient "juice or broth." This highlights a potential inconsistency in the execution of some vegetable-based dishes.
The "sesame bread with green onion" was described as "pretty thick" and "flavorless," with the reviewer using it primarily to accompany other dishes instead of rice. They cautioned that it might not meet the expectations of those familiar with traditional Chinese scallion pancakes. This suggests that while some of their side offerings might be functional, they might not all be highlights of the meal.
Overall, the features of Apple Green Bistro seem to include well-regarded tofu dishes (both seafood and vegetable), a standard Kung Pao Chicken, and a black mushroom and vegetable dish that one reviewer found lacking in flavor balance and moisture. Their sesame bread with green onion is described as thick and flavorless, serving mainly as an accompaniment.
Promotional Information:
The provided customer reviews do not contain any explicit promotional offers or discounts. However, the enthusiastic recommendation of the "iron plates seafood tofu" as potentially the best in the Bay Area acts as a strong implicit promotion for this specific dish. Similarly, the positive feedback on the "vegetable tofu in brown sauce" can encourage customers to try this flavorful vegetarian option.
The first reviewer mentioned that "the price may be a bit high, three courses + tip $80." This provides important pricing information, suggesting that a full meal at Apple Green Bistro could be on the higher end compared to other local options. This is a crucial factor for budget-conscious diners and might influence their decision to visit. While not a promotion, it's essential information for managing expectations regarding cost.
The fact that one reviewer indicated they would "most likely try another spot instead" if in the area again, due to the presence of other Chinese restaurants, could be seen as a lack of strong promotional elements or a unique selling proposition that would guarantee repeat business for all customers. However, the strong endorsements of the tofu dishes might be enough to attract those specifically seeking high-quality tofu preparations.
To learn about any specific promotions, such as lunch specials, family deals, or discounts on certain days, local users are encouraged to contact Apple Green Bistro directly at (408) 725-8008 or +1 408-725-8008. They may also have a menu available online or at the restaurant that details any special offers or pricing structures beyond the one data point provided in the reviews.
Overall Impression:
Apple Green Bistro in Cupertino offers a mix of dishes, with standout items like the iron plates seafood tofu and the vegetable tofu in brown sauce receiving high praise from customers. The Kung Pao Chicken is considered standard, while the black mushroom with vegetables was found to be imbalanced in flavor. The sesame bread with green onion serves as a neutral accompaniment. The service is generally reported as good, but the pricing might be on the higher side.
For local users in Cupertino, particularly those who appreciate well-prepared tofu dishes, Apple Green Bistro appears to be a worthwhile option, especially considering the strong recommendation for their iron plates seafood tofu. However, it's important to be aware of the reported pricing and the potential for variability in the quality of other dishes. Given the competitive landscape of Chinese restaurants in the area, customers might want to weigh the positive reviews of the specialty tofu dishes against the cost and the mixed feedback on other menu items.
To make an informed decision, potential customers may want to view the menu online if available or inquire about the pricing of specific dishes of interest. The strong recommendations for the tofu dishes suggest that these might be the highlights of the dining experience at Apple Green Bistro.

Customer Reviews
The food and service are good, but the price may be a bit high, three courses + tip $80. We love the iron plates seafood tofu , probably is the best in the Bay Area !
To me, the best dish was the vegetable tofu in brown sauce, because it was flavorful enough to enjoy various kinds of flavors. The establishment is clearly a Chinese restaurant that many would visit on a random basis, as it is located amongst a lot of stores that have Chinese on their titles or related to Chinese culture in an outlet format in Cupertino. I thought the Kung Pao Chicken was pretty standard and was good enough to make myself full. The black mushroom with vegetables was unfortunately below my expectations as the mushrooms had strong flavor while the vegetables didn't have any, causing a flavor imbalance, while the dish itself didn't have enough juice or broth to allow some mushroom umami flavor to flavor up the vegetables. The sesame bread with green onion was pretty thick and I mostly used it to accompany my dishes instead of rice, and since it was flavorless itself, it worked out fine. However, if one was expecting it to taste like the scallion pancakes that are popular in China, then one could be disappointed. Since there were other Chinese restaurants around the area, if I make it around the area again, I would most likely try another spot instead.
Most foods are very good. Parking is very good. Wait times are reasonable. 4 and half stars if they have not 5 nor 4. ๐ Prices are very reasonable. Pretty roomy. Canโt go wrong if you give it a try. Lots of selections to choose from good to average. Linhโs recommended.๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
Apple Green Bistro is a vibrant dining destination in Cupertino that truly captures the essence of Szechuan cuisine. It's become a favorite of many of my friends, and after trying their chilli fish, I completely understand why! The dish was absolutely huge, served in a large oval bowl, and packed with flavor. It featured a whole, perfectly fried fish, nestled among lotus stem, bok choy, red chilies, and peanuts, all swimming in a delicious, soupy sauce. The balance of spices was delightful, and the fish was cooked to perfection. Beyond the excellent food, the restaurant has a charming and inviting atmosphere, perfect for both casual lunches and special dinners. The service is friendly and prompt, and I appreciated the modern touch of contactless ordering via QR codes. I highly recommend Apple Green Bistro for an authentic and memorable Szechuan dining experience.
Very clean. The food is excellent and comes out extremely quickly. The Plaza it's located in has a lot to offer
