About Angel Chinese Restaurant

Welcome to Angel Chinese Restaurant, located at 10136 Two Notch Rd #7A in Columbia, South Carolina. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, Angel Chinese Restaurant aims to offer a diverse selection of Asian cuisines to the community. Our restaurant provides an option for those seeking a mix of flavors and dishes beyond traditional expectations of a typical Chinese menu. To place an order or for any inquiries, please contact us at (803) 699-8881 or via mobile phone at +1 803-699-8881.

Angel Chinese Restaurant presents itself as a place where customers can find a "nice mixture of Asian cuisines." This suggests that the menu may include dishes that draw inspiration not only from Chinese culinary traditions but also from other Asian countries. For local users in Columbia, particularly those residing near the Two Notch Road area, Angel Chinese Restaurant offers a convenient option to explore a broader range of Asian flavors without having to travel far.

Regarding the specific menu offerings, one customer noted that some dishes might differ from traditional expectations. For example, their experience with the Chow Fun dish revealed a noodle that was more akin to a thicker linguini rather than the typically very wide noodle associated with this dish. This indicates that Angel Chinese Restaurant may offer its own interpretations or variations of classic Asian dishes. Potential customers who appreciate a different take on familiar meals might find this aspect intriguing.

Information regarding the environment of Angel Chinese Restaurant is limited in the provided reviews. One customer who found the food "okay" did not comment on the ambiance or decor of the establishment. Therefore, we cannot provide a detailed description of the restaurant's interior or overall atmosphere based on the available information. Local users may gain a better understanding of the environment upon visiting the restaurant for takeout or, if available, dine-in service.

The primary service mentioned in the reviews is takeout. One customer, who found the restaurant "definitely worth a try" for those living close by, implied a takeout experience. However, the reviews do not explicitly state whether dine-in service is also offered. To confirm the availability of dine-in options, it is recommended to contact Angel Chinese Restaurant directly using the provided phone numbers.

One customer who had been a patron for a couple of years initially reported that the food had "always been good." This suggests a level of consistency in their food quality over time, at least up to a certain point. This positive past experience might be reassuring for new customers considering trying Angel Chinese Restaurant.

However, a significant concern was raised by the same long-term patron, who reported experiencing a "most severe case of food poisoning" after a recent meal from Angel Chinese Restaurant. This customer attributed the food poisoning to "unsafe food handling" and stated that they would never visit the establishment again, having also filed a complaint with the Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC). This serious allegation of foodborne illness is a critical piece of information for potential customers to consider. Food safety is paramount, and such an incident, if verified, would understandably deter future patronage.

The stark contrast between the initial positive experience of one reviewer and their subsequent severe food poisoning incident highlights the unpredictable nature of dining experiences. While past positive reviews might exist, recent negative experiences, especially those concerning food safety, warrant careful consideration.

Another customer, while finding the food "okay," suggested that it might be worth trying for those living in close proximity to the restaurant. However, they also indicated that they would not make a special trip from Chapin to visit again, implying that while the food was acceptable, it did not particularly stand out compared to other options available further away. This suggests that Angel Chinese Restaurant might be best suited for those who live or work in the immediate vicinity.

Promotional information for Angel Chinese Restaurant is not mentioned in the provided reviews. Local users interested in any special offers, discounts, or new menu items are encouraged to contact the restaurant directly at (803) 699-8881 or +1 803-699-8881 for the most current information.

In conclusion, Angel Chinese Restaurant in Columbia, SC, offers a mix of Asian cuisines and primarily seems to cater to takeout customers, although dine-in service may also be available. While one long-term patron had previously found the food consistently good, a recent severe case of food poisoning reported by the same individual raises significant food safety concerns. Another customer found the food "okay" but not compelling enough to warrant a special trip from outside the immediate area. For local residents near Two Notch Road looking to explore a blend of Asian flavors, Angel Chinese Restaurant is an option. However, potential customers should be aware of the recent serious food safety allegation when making their decision. It is recommended to contact the restaurant directly for the most accurate information about their menu, services, and any ongoing promotions.

Always on the hunt for authentic Chinese we had to try. It was okay, nice mixture of Asian cuisines. The menu items are not what traditionally our expectations were, for example the chow fun is normally a very wide noodle and this was more like a thicker linguini. If you live close it’s definitely worth a try, but coming from Chapin I wouldn’t make a special trip again.

Been a patron of this establishment for a couple years. Food has always been good. However, this week their food gave me the most severe case of food poisoning I’ve ever experienced. Food poisoning is typically a result of unsafe food handling and for that, I will never visit again. Filed a complaint with DHEC as well. Second chances aren’t given when it comes to food safety and illness. Especially considering how severe it was.

Best Chinese food ever! We love the Garlic Chicken and Moo Goo Gai Pan with chicken best, it’s got lots of vegetables too in a light well flavored sauce, it’s fantastic and you are guaranteed to love it! Their spring rolls are also delicious, we have ordered take out here several times and it has been consistently good. They also give a lot of sauce on dishes so the next day if reheating it stays very moist and tastes as good as it did the first time. This place also has brown rice as a choice which most restaurants only offer white, we also love the name Angel how cute!

"First time ordering, and I was pleasantly surprised! We tried the egg drop soup, beef lo mein, Szechuan beef, sesame chicken, and garlic chicken—everything was fresh, delicious, and each dish had its own unique flavor. The vegetable fried rice was a standout—fluffy, flavorful, and not greasy, which has been hard to find since moving from the West Coast. The food was served family-style, perfect for sharing, and the restaurant itself is cute and inviting. Highly recommend!"
