About Amy's Place

Located at 2550 Guerneville Rd in Santa Rosa, California, Amy's Place serves Chinese cuisine to the local community. As a Chinese Restaurant, Amy's Place seems to specialize in takeout, although the first review hints at a desire for it to be a "Full Blown Restaurant," suggesting that its current setup might be more limited in terms of dine-in options. You can contact them at (707) 525-1888 or their mobile number, +1 707-525-1888, to place orders or inquire about their offerings.

Based on the limited customer reviews available online, Amy's Place evokes a sense of nostalgia for some. One reviewer expressed a strong affinity for the food, stating, "Love this Food! Reminds me of the Chinese Food we use to get in Kailua when I was a Kid(60s)." This comment suggests that Amy's Place might offer a particular style or flavor profile of Chinese cuisine that is reminiscent of a specific regional or perhaps a more traditional approach. The reviewer's wish for it to be a full-blown restaurant could imply that the current setup might be more focused on takeout or have limited seating.

Another reviewer specifically mentioned their fondness for the "string bean chicken," indicating that this is a popular and well-liked dish at Amy's Place. This provides a concrete example of a menu item that customers enjoy. However, this same reviewer raised a significant concern regarding the customer service, stating, "but the owners are RUDE!" They further elaborated that the restaurant is conveniently located near their workplace, leading them to eat there frequently, but they described the "2 people" (presumably the owners) as "miserable." This feedback suggests a potential issue with the interpersonal interactions at Amy's Place, which could impact the overall customer experience, particularly for those who interact directly with the owners when placing or picking up orders.

Considering these two reviews, Amy's Place seems to be a place where the food quality, or at least certain dishes like the string bean chicken, is appreciated and might even hold a nostalgic appeal for some customers. However, a significant drawback appears to be the reported rudeness of the owners, which could be a deterrent for potential customers despite the quality of the food. The comment about wishing it were a full-blown restaurant implies that the current setup might be more limited, possibly focusing primarily on takeout with perhaps minimal or no dine-in seating.

Given the limited information, it's challenging to fully assess the environment of Amy's Place. The desire for it to be a "Full Blown Restaurant" suggests that it might currently lack the typical amenities and ambiance of a full-service dining establishment. It could be a smaller operation primarily geared towards takeout. The absence of any positive comments about the environment further supports this possibility. Local users considering Amy's Place should likely be prepared for a no-frills setting, possibly with limited or no seating for dining in.

In terms of services, the reviews strongly suggest that takeout is a primary service offered at Amy's Place. The first reviewer's nostalgic comment doesn't mention dining in, and the second reviewer, who eats there frequently due to its proximity to work, also doesn't specify dining in. The desire for a "Full Blown Restaurant" implies that the current dine-in options, if any, might be very limited. Therefore, customers should most likely expect to place orders for pickup to enjoy the food elsewhere. It is unknown if they offer delivery services.

Regarding specific features or signature dishes, the "string bean chicken" is explicitly mentioned as a favorite. The nostalgic quality of the food, reminiscent of Chinese cuisine from Kailua in the 1960s, could also be considered a unique feature, potentially appealing to those who have similar memories or preferences for that style of cooking. However, without a menu or more detailed descriptions, it's difficult to ascertain other signature dishes or unique offerings at Amy's Place.

The provided information does not include any details about promotional offers or specials at Amy's Place. The limited number of reviews focuses on the food quality and customer service rather than any pricing deals or promotions. To find out if they have any special offers, it would be necessary to contact the restaurant directly.

In conclusion, Amy's Place in Santa Rosa seems to be a Chinese restaurant primarily focused on takeout, potentially offering a nostalgic style of cuisine that some customers appreciate. The string bean chicken is a noted favorite. However, a significant concern raised by a reviewer is the reported rudeness of the owners, which could negatively impact the customer experience. The setup appears to be more limited than a full-service restaurant, possibly with minimal or no dine-in options. Local users looking for takeout Chinese food with a potentially nostalgic flavor profile might consider Amy's Place, but should be aware of the reported issues with customer service.
