Aikou is hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. My family and I have been going to this restaurant for years. I wanted to touch on a couple of notes, the quality of the food being first. I have never had a bad meal at Aikou. Their fried rice is top-tier, especially the combination fried rice. My favorites include generals chicken, combination fried rice, egg drop soup and the crab rangoons. The portion sizes are MASSIVE which is well-appreciated. 10/10. The price of the food is absolutely fair for how much you get. The atmosphere is lax and casual. It is a family-owned restaurant. I have watched the owners children grow up and it’s nice to have that familiarity. I even moved away for 3 years and came back and they still remembered me. That’s service. Do yourself a favor and give them a try!
The food is generally really good, but it’s a real bummer when you were looking forward to a delicious meal and the food falls short.
My co-workers & I go here almost every Thur. Food is good & people are nice. I like the shrimp fried rice.
We ordered three meals yesterday for our Valentines lunch, we made sure to tell the owner that we had a severe egg allergy, , but she did not tell the cook??Our food came out with scrambled eggs all over it, we didn’t see it till we got home, when we called, she said come back up and we will make it right, and she remembered us telling her that we had a severe egg allergy, that is all she offered us, we are 30 minutes from her shop, our lunch was ruined. It was for a two year-old and my daughter neither of them had lunch, , Oh, and the owner was complaining about her water bill the whole time she was taking our order, probably why she messed it up, but she was angry, and not paying attention when we ordered, we thought that they would at least give us our money back,
Food was disgusting, made me want to throw up. I ordered Egg Drop Soup, Crab Rangoons, and Orange Chicken... gross. Staff was nice when I picked up my food. I will not return.
