About Acacia Tree Asian Cuisine 玖食 餐厅 (原 大长今 Former Dae Jang Kum)

Acacia Tree Asian Cuisine, also known as 玖食 餐厅 and formerly recognized as Dae Jang Kum, is a Chinese restaurant located at 101 Keybridge Dr #100 in Morrisville, North Carolina (NC 27560, USA). This establishment distinguishes itself by offering a unique blend of authentic northeastern Chinese cuisine alongside familiar American Chinese classics. For local users seeking a diverse Chinese dining experience that ranges from traditional regional dishes to well-loved standards, Acacia Tree presents a compelling option.

One of the key features highlighted by customer reviews is the authenticity of Acacia Tree's northeastern Chinese dishes. One reviewer with experience sampling cuisine both in China and New York City attested to the comparable authenticity of the food served here. This suggests that Acacia Tree provides a genuine taste of northeastern China, appealing to those who appreciate regional Chinese specialties and are looking for flavors beyond the typical Americanized fare.

The menu at Acacia Tree appears to cater to a wide range of palates. Customers have specifically praised appetizers such as the cold noodles and the tripe in chili oil, indicating a willingness to offer more adventurous and traditional options. For main courses, the lamb with cilantro and the eggplant with salted fish have been noted as enjoyable authentic choices. These dishes showcase the distinct flavors and ingredients characteristic of northeastern Chinese cooking.

In addition to these authentic regional specialties, Acacia Tree also offers American Chinese classics, as mentioned by another satisfied customer who considers it one of their favorite Chinese restaurants in the Raleigh area. Dishes like orange chicken and General Tso’s chicken, popular staples of American Chinese cuisine, are also available, ensuring that those with more familiar preferences will find something to enjoy. This dual offering makes Acacia Tree a versatile choice for families or groups with varying tastes.

The atmosphere of Acacia Tree is described as "cozy," making it an ideal setting for a family dinner. This suggests a comfortable and inviting environment where diners can relax and enjoy their meal. One family's dining experience included a variety of dishes, highlighting the breadth of the menu. They ordered the orange chicken, eggplant with basil, and spicy pork short ribs, along with hot tea and rice, with their total bill coming to $70. Acacia serves authentic north eastern Chinese cuisine. Having sampled dishes from China and NYC, the food served here comparably authentic. I enjoyed the appetizers including the cold noodles and the tripe in chili oil. For entrees I enjoyed the lamb and cilantro and eggplant with salted fish. If you’re looking for authentic northeastern Chinese cuisine, I would recommend dining at this restaurant. The popcorn chicken is child-friendly dish.

This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Raleigh. They offer a great mix of American Chinese classics like orange chicken and General Tso’s chicken, as well as authentic dishes you’d find at a sit-down dinner in China. The cozy atmosphere makes it ideal for a family dinner. We got the orange chicken, eggplant with basil, Spicy pork short ribs, hot tea and rice; the bill came out to be $70. Highly recommend!

May 2025 update: This is third time here, we arrived 15 minutes before closing and Audrey was so kind, made sure that we were taken care of and didn’t rush us at all. Food was amazing as always, we had mapo tofu, spicy lamb, seafood clay pot, fish salt and pepper fry. Again I wish I could do more that one review because I would give them a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ everytime I went there. Previous updates: Wish we’d taken more photos, but we were a hungry crew and devoured everything within minutes! Every dish was fantastic, with the perfect balance of spice, flavor, and kick—from the green beans and spicy lamb to the cumin lamb, chicken curry, and cabbage soup. The duck was just okay for me, but everything else was spot on. Big shoutout to Audrey for her attentive service—she really took great care of us! Can’t wait to go back!

Have dined here multiple times and it has always been amazing. All staff, from owners to front end, are incredibly kind and attentive. Food is probably the best in the area. Pictured are stir fried green beans, dry pot fish, and scallion pancakes. Sichuan eggplant is also a favorite, but I’m convinced you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. This is our go-to for authentic Chinese food in the area for a reason.
