Customer reviews for Abundance Culinary present a somewhat varied but overall intriguing picture of the restaurant. One reviewer enthusiastically urges others to "run here immediately!" praising the "amazing" food and highlighting their server, Ren, as "absolutely a delight to talk to." They also had positive interactions with another staff member and the chef, describing them as "personable and welcoming." This review suggests a restaurant with excellent food and a friendly, engaging service team.
Another review provided specific details about their meal, starting with the "dumpling combo," which includes two of each of the four types. The reviewer's favorite was the sauerkraut dumpling, and their husband enjoyed the lamb dumpling. They also shared the "best fried chicken and fried rice we’ve ever had" and highly recommended the "China hot chicken." For dessert, they tried the "Breakfast for Dessert," which the husband liked, but the reviewer found the toast too hard, suggesting it might be better on a waffle. This review indicates a menu with some standout dishes and a willingness to offer creative options.
In contrast, a third reviewer had a more mixed experience. They praised the "cute" vibes of the restaurant and the niceness of the server. Their husband thoroughly enjoyed the chicken wings, describing them as "some of the best wings he’s ever had." However, this reviewer was significantly disappointed with their own appetizer, the "miso glazed tofu." They reported receiving what they could only describe as "blended tofu on a prawn chip," which starkly contrasted with the expected miso glazed tofu and crispy rice mentioned in the description. This discrepancy left the reviewer "very much at a loss for words" and prompted them to recommend that the owners either update their menu descriptions or ensure servers provide accurate explanations of dishes that deviate significantly from their written descriptions. This review highlights potential inconsistencies between menu descriptions and the actual food served, particularly for vegetarian options.
Considering these reviews, local users in Cleveland Heights can anticipate a restaurant with a potentially appealing ambiance and friendly service. The positive feedback regarding the food, particularly the fried chicken, fried rice, dumplings (especially the sauerkraut and lamb), and China hot chicken, suggests that Abundance Culinary has several well-received dishes. The enthusiasm of one reviewer who deemed the food "amazing" should also be noted.
However, the experience of the third reviewer serves as a caution, particularly for those with dietary restrictions or specific expectations based on menu descriptions. The significant difference between the described "miso glazed tofu" and the received "blended tofu on a prawn chip" indicates a potential issue with menu accuracy or communication. Vegetarian diners, in particular, might need to inquire specifically about the preparation and ingredients of dishes before ordering.
For local users seeking a Chinese restaurant with a modern feel and potentially innovative dishes, Abundance Culinary seems to offer an interesting option. The positive comments about the atmosphere and service suggest a pleasant dining environment. The standout dishes mentioned in the reviews could be strong draws for new customers. The dumpling combo appears to be a popular choice, offering a variety of flavors to sample.
Nevertheless, the discrepancy in the miso glazed tofu dish highlights the importance of clear communication between the restaurant and its customers. Potential diners, especially those with dietary restrictions or specific preferences, might benefit from asking detailed questions about menu items before ordering to avoid unexpected surprises. The recommendation from the reviewer to update menu descriptions or have servers explain dishes more thoroughly is a valuable piece of advice for both the restaurant and prospective patrons.
In summary, Abundance Culinary in Cleveland Heights offers a potentially delightful dining experience with praised food and friendly service in a cute atmosphere. Standout dishes like the fried chicken, fried rice, and certain dumplings have received high praise. However, there is a noted issue with the accuracy of at least one menu description, which led to a significant disappointment for one vegetarian customer. Local users considering Abundance Culinary should be aware of this potential for discrepancy and might want to engage in open communication with their server regarding menu items, especially if they have dietary restrictions or specific expectations based on the descriptions provided.

Customer Reviews
Everyone needs to run here immediately! The food is amazing. Ren, our server, was absolutely a delight to talk to. We also met another young woman who worked there and the chef. Both were personable and welcoming. We ordered the dumpling combo. It comes with two of each of the four types. My favorite was the sauerkraut. I did not have the lamb but my husband said it was delicious too. We split the best fried chicken and fried rice we’ve ever had. I highly recommend the China hot chicken. We ordered the Breakfast for Dessert, which he really liked but I did not. IMO it would be better on a waffle. I found the toast to be too hard. We will definitely be going back.
I am very much at a loss for words but I’m going to try my best. I want to start with the good, the vibes are so cute in the restaurant and the server was nice. My husband got the chicken wings and really enjoyed them! He said they were some of the best wings he’s ever had. However, my dish was not nearly as great. I wasn’t that hungry so I figured just ordering something from the appetizer menu would suffice for me. I was wrong. I got the miso glazed tofu and received what I can only describe as blended tofu on a prawn chip? I’ll also attach the description but as you can see by the photo there is no miso glazed tofu or crispy rice in sight. I’ve been a vegetarian for 17 years and have had tofu in nearly every conceivable way (including miso glazed). When the server put the dish down in front of me I was truly taken aback. I guess it’s my own fault for not asking questions but the description of the dish seemed fairly straight forward. For the owners, I would highly recommend either updating your descriptions or having your servers explain things to customers if the dishes are going to be THIS far off from what is described.
Cute and delish dining experience. Stopped in late on a Friday evening to try this local spot. We just got cocktails and the dumpling sampler. A little more pricey than your average Chinese food, but the quality was very good in my opinion. Would definitely come back to try other options.
WOW this place is fantastic! We had buns and dumplings. The food was creative and tasty. I also got the rice-pudding dessert…can’t remember the name. It was excellent and so different than anything I’ve ever had. I highly recommend! I definitely want to come back and try more on the menu. We sat at the bar and The server was extremely helpful. She helped us pick out ginger-inspired cocktails which were unique and fabulous. She also helped us pick out sauces to dip our food in. You can tell the food is made with love and carefully crafted with attention to detail.
I love the surprisingly cozy feel of this place! my family and I ordered the stir fry dry pot, baked steamed fish, and golden broth noodles. The dry pot had an amazing flavor and a variety of great textures from the vegetables, but it was a little too oily. Fish was delicious, perhaps a touch underdone but very light and flavorful. Golden broth noodles had the most refreshing, springy, unique taste to them. Overall, a great dining experience, so excited to come back!
