About ABC Chinese Fast Food

ABC Chinese Fast Food is a Chinese Restaurant located at 100 W 7th St in downtown Los Angeles. While the location might be described by some locals as being in a less desirable area, customers report having positive experiences when being respectful and courteous.

Known for its generous portions, ABC Chinese Fast Food offers a satisfying amount of food, often enough for leftovers. According to one reviewer, the chow mein and orange chicken are recommended dishes. While the food quality is generally rated positively (around 4 stars), the overall experience might be considered slightly lower (around 3 stars).

It's worth noting that the dining area, which was temporarily closed in March 2020, has recently reopened. This provides an option for customers who prefer to eat on-site.

Pricing has seen some increases over the past few years due to inflation. Currently, a combo meal with chow mein or rice and two entrees costs around $11. A notable feature is that ABC Chinese Fast Food does not charge California sales tax, which can offer some savings.

One customer mentioned that the menu options available during their visit were somewhat limited. While hoping to try beef broccoli or fried shrimp based on online information, these items were not available at the time. They were informed that beef broccoli is only offered on Mondays, and fried shrimp was unavailable altogether. Other available options included mushroom chicken, spring rolls, bone-in chicken pieces, and orange chicken. Despite the limited selection, the customer found the orange chicken to be good with a plentiful portion.

If you're looking for a Chinese Restaurant in downtown Los Angeles that offers large portions at a fair price, especially for dishes like chow mein and orange chicken, ABC Chinese Fast Food might be worth a visit. You can contact them at (213) 774-5678 or +1 213-774-5678 for more information.

First and foremost this is located in what we Angelinos call bad places "ghetto", but I have never had issues here. If you're cool and kind with the people in this vicinity you will be fine. I come here when I get bored of the Chinese food in the San Fernando Valley. They also recently re-opened the dining area since the last time I visited which was closed off in March 2020. I took photos of said dining area. Unfortunately I forgot to get photos of the food after this visit but I will add them at a later date after the next visit. The food is a 4 star to me while everything else is a 3 star. This is one of those joints that overflows your to go plate. I recommend the chow mein and orange chicken. Due to the inflation the prices have gone up once a year in the last 3 years or so. I believe I got 4 combo A or B's, but it is $11 each for chow mein/rice and 2 entree's. They also do not charge CA sales tax. 🥡

Found this place on google maps, wanted some Chinese food. Overall the food is good, the price was fine, and the portion was enough to save some for the next day. Only thing is they didn’t have many menu items available. Based on reviews and pictures I thought I’d be able to get some beef broccoli or fried shrimp. Neither was available, was told beef broccoli is only available on Monday (strange?) and that they had no fried shrimp. Only other items I could see were mushroom chicken, spring rolls, some bone in chicken pieces, and orange chicken. Went with the orange chicken and as I’ve said the food was good with a plentiful portion. More menu options would help.

I had looked up this place and read the reviews and it seemed like people liked it and they were right!! Me and partner came in an hour or so before closing time. The trays were empty but there was still enough food for a couple of more orders. The guy that attended us was kind and the food was really really good!!! Definitely recommend this place (: 11/10 place

It's cheaper, tastier, and offers larger portions than Panda Express. I got 4 items just for $11. The portions were huge, and the food was good. It’s the restaurant with good value for money for sure. I talked with the guy at the shop. He said that this restaurant has been around for 18 years but he took over the place from his cousin just 3 months ago. He mentioned that after COVID, with the increase in homeless people, business has been tough. I really hope this kind of place doesn't go out of business. If I'm in the area again, I definitely want to visit. The interior is old but this restaurant is perfect for getting a lot of food at a low cost. They are open until 7 PM, so everyone should give it a try.
