About Aahar Indian Cuisine

Located at 35564 Grand River Ave, Farmington Hills, MI 48335, USA, Aahar Indian Cuisine is a popular restaurant known for its impressive and consistently high-quality Indian buffet. While the platform category is Chinese Restaurant, Aahar Indian Cuisine offers a completely different culinary experience, specializing in a wide array of authentic Indian dishes.

Based on customer reviews, Aahar Indian Cuisine stands out for its extensive buffet spread, offering a multitude of options across various categories, including starters, main courses, gravies, and desserts. This variety ensures that there is "truly something for everyone to enjoy."

A significant highlight for non-vegetarian diners is the multiple choices available in both chicken and mutton dishes. Recent buffet offerings included the flavorful Amaravati Biryani and Goat Pulao, both described as satisfying. Other notable items frequently featured are chicken pakora, Chettinad chicken, and butter chicken.

Vegetarian customers also have a plethora of delicious options to choose from, including regular favorites like lady’s finger fry, bitter gourd, and yam fry. Recognizing the needs of families, Aahar also provides kid-friendly options such as fruits, colorful papads, naan, and noodles.

The dessert selection is equally praised, with items like strawberry mousse and mango custard being particularly popular. The yogurt rice paired with avakkai pickle is mentioned as a perfect and comforting way to conclude the meal.

The restaurant boasts ample seating, ensuring comfort even during busy periods. However, it is recommended to arrive early to fully savor the buffet experience, as the last serving is at 2:45 PM, and dishes are not refilled after this time.

Aahar's location is convenient, situated near Indian stores, Paparoti, and a chai place, making the area lively, especially on weekends. While the restaurant has a large parking lot, finding a spot can be challenging during peak hours due to its popularity.

Despite one review mentioning a negative experience with bland noodles and artificially colored Gobi lacking flavor, the overwhelming feedback emphasizes the variety, quality, and consistency of Aahar's buffet. For those seeking a hearty and diverse Indian buffet experience in Farmington Hills, Aahar Indian Cuisine appears to be a must-visit destination.

Aahar has been one of our absolute favorite restaurants in Michigan for a buffet, and we’ve been driving all the way to Farmington Hills for years just to enjoy their amazing spread. They offer a wide variety in every category—whether it’s starters, main courses, gravies, or desserts. What sets them apart is the consistent quality and the fact that there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy. Their multiple options for both chicken and mutton are a big highlight, making it a delight for non-vegetarian food lovers. When we crave an elaborate buffet experience, Aahar is always our first choice. For vegetarians, they have plenty of delicious options, including regular favorites like lady’s finger fry, bitter gourd, or yam fry. For kids, they provide fruits, colorful papads that are a hit, naan, and noodles, ensuring the little ones are happy too. This week’s spread featured Amaravati Biryani and Goat Pulao, both of which were flavorful and satisfying. Other standout items included chicken pakora, Chettinad chicken, butter chicken, vada, samosa chaat, and a variety of other dishes. Their desserts were equally delightful, with strawberry mousse and mango custard stealing the show. The yogurt rice paired with avakkai pickle was a perfect and comforting finish to the meal. The restaurant has plenty of seating, making it comfortable even during busy hours. However, I highly recommend arriving early to fully enjoy the delicious spread, as the last serving ends at 2:45 PM, and they do not refill dishes after that. The location is quite popular, as it’s close to Indian stores, Paparoti, and the Chai place. This makes the area bustling, especially during weekends, and while the restaurant has a large parking lot, finding a spot can be a challenge during peak times. Overall, Aahar continues to impress with its variety, quality, and consistency. It’s undoubtedly a must-visit destination for anyone who enjoys a hearty Indian buffet!

Sure! Here’s a review you can use or modify: --- **Review:** I had high hopes for this place, but it was quite a letdown. The noodles were completely flavorless and bland — no seasoning, no balance, just plain and boring. On the other hand, the starter Gobi was bursting with artificial color, but unfortunately, not with flavor. It felt like they focused more on making the dish look bright rather than making it taste good. Overall, the food lacked authenticity and taste, and I wouldn’t be in a hurry to come back.

Time to find a new Indian restaurant. A few years back, I would order a carry out every couple weeks. It's now been 6 months since my last visit and this one will probably be the last. Consistency & quality has gone down. Dishes taste different every time. In addition to the chicken vindaloo flavor being off, the garlic naan had a sour smell and the rice was stone cold. At almost $15 an entrée, it is overpriced for what they provide. There is better out there.

Today I tried buffet here and food was awesome, delicious. Service is very good. Lot of space so you can comfortably seat and enjoy your food. Specially I like mango desert. Must try buffet 👍

HMS certified!!! We gone crazy!! Ordered freely. Loved the food, loved the service. Will definitely will come more often now. I came to this location 2020, since then didn’t returned. But now definitely. Couldn’t take beryani and chicken65 pictures as it was finished quickly.
