A2B Indian Veg Restaurant - Illinois is a vegetarian Indian restaurant located at 28244 Diehl Rd, Warrenville, IL 60555, USA. They can be contacted at (630) 791-8800 or +1 630-791-8800. This restaurant specializes in South Indian vegetarian cuisine, offering a diverse menu with various regional dishes.

Popular items include the Gobi 65, praised for its crispy and well-seasoned cauliflower, and the fresh-made Dosas, which pair well with their variety of chutneys. The Chole Bhatura is noted for its impressive presentation, though some customers suggest it could benefit from a larger portion of chole. The Paneer Butter Masala is also well-received for its taste and spice level.

Many reviewers find the restaurant to uphold the standards of the A2B franchise, particularly noting the authentic flavors of their Tamil cuisine. The Ghee Podi Dosa and Kuzhambu (sambar) are highlighted for their exceptional taste. The restaurant also offers Indo-Chinese dishes, with the Mushroom Pepper Fries receiving positive feedback for its unique flavor profile. However, there is some feedback regarding the Chota Samosas, with customers hoping for a specific onion filling that is more common in certain regions.

Staff members, like Mufti, are often praised for their kindness and attentiveness. While the restaurant is considered slightly on the more expensive side, many customers believe the quality and variety of the food justify the price. Went here for a birthday dinner with family- got seated quickly as always. Gobi 65 dish was great, cauliflower was crispy and well seasoned. Dosas are fresh made & pair well with chutneys. The chole bhatura was impressive looking, but needed more chole in comparison to amount of bhatura. Paneer butter masala was good in taste as well, spiced well, just took 30+ minutes to arrive as multiple similar orders had been placed. Tomato soup was average. Overall service was quick apart for one dish, food was great. It’s rare to find a restaurant that does so many varieties so well, definitely a strong suit for A2B. Be prepared for fast good quality food, but also slightly on the more expensive side.

Of all the A2B branches we have been to across the U.S. this one by far lived up to the franchise’s standards the most. We had a great experience and devoured the ghee podi dosa with their wide variety of chutneys and more than anything their kuzhambu (sambar) was so flavorsome and authentic to our Tamil cuisine. We also tried their mushroom pepper fries and were pleasantly surprised to witness such a different flavor when most restaurants just go heavy on the ketchup-based sauces when they say Indo-Chinese dishes. If there was one thing that we would like for them to switch up is their Chota Samosas. We were hoping it would be the onion filled Chota Samosas that most people from Andhra and South Indian can relate to, but unfortunately it was just the same potato filling but made smaller. So definitely some room for improvement with those. But even though they didn’t hit the spot for nostalgia, they were still tasty. Overall great food with great service by the staff, Mufti in particular was very kind and made sure to fulfill all our requests with our unlimited supply for chutney haha 😄 Definitely a must try if you’re in and around Chicago and are craving a good South Indian food experience.

This is purely based on what I had, may be the other dishes were good, but the creamy tomato soup and Gobi 65 was not up to the mark, it was very bland. Ghee roast and onion rava dosa was decent, sambar could have been better, may be I should try their lunch menu next time!

I visited A2B Indian Veg Restaurant in Illinois on 21st August 2024 for dinner and again on 22nd August 2024 for lunch. Overall, my experience was quite positive. During dinner, I tried the Jigarthanda, which was okay, but the Veg Thali was very good. The variety and flavors in the thali were impressive, and it made for a satisfying meal. For lunch the next day, I had the Onion Pakoda and another Veg Thali. Both were excellent—crisp, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. A special mention goes to the person who served us, Mufthi, who was particularly attentive and made our dining experience more enjoyable with his friendly and efficient service. The restaurant maintains a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff overall were welcoming. A2B is definitely a great choice for Indian vegetarian cuisine, and I’ll be happy to visit again.
