When local users seek a Chinese restaurant, key factors influencing their choice often include the quality and taste of the food, the cleanliness and hygiene of the establishment, the efficiency and accuracy of service, and the overall dining experience. To provide an objective introduction to A Taste of China, we will analyze recent customer reviews found online to understand these aspects based on user experiences.

Recent customer feedback for A Taste of China raises significant concerns regarding food quality and hygiene. One reviewer, who stated they had been a regular customer for over a year, reported a severely disturbing experience. They found a "large bug cooked into" their food, leading to absolute disgust and a decision to no longer patronize the restaurant. This reviewer, who typically only posts positive feedback, felt compelled to share this negative experience to warn others. This incident indicates a serious potential lapse in food safety and hygiene practices at A Taste of China.

Another recent review also expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the food quality. This customer had picked up three orders of sesame chicken dinners and described them as "absolutely horrible and very dry," rendering them inedible. The reviewer concluded their feedback with a definitive "NEVER AGAIN," indicating a very negative experience with a specific dish and a strong aversion to returning to the restaurant.

Based on these two recent reviews, there are critical issues concerning the food quality at A Taste of China. The discovery of a cooked bug in the food by a long-term customer points to potential problems with kitchen hygiene and food preparation processes. This is a severe health and safety concern that would understandably deter any potential customers. The second review, describing the sesame chicken as "horrible and very dry" to the point of being inedible, suggests significant issues with the preparation of at least one of their dishes, indicating a lack of attention to quality and potentially leading to food waste and customer dissatisfaction.

The provided reviews do not offer any insights into the environment or ambiance of A Taste of China. Whether it is primarily a takeout-focused establishment or has a dine-in area with a particular atmosphere is not mentioned. Therefore, local users cannot glean information about the service aspects of A Taste of China from these reviews.

In terms of unique features, the limited and severely negative feedback does not highlight any specific culinary specialties or unique aspects of A Taste of China's menu or cooking style. The dishes mentioned (sesame chicken) are common in many Chinese restaurants, and the reviews do not suggest any particular distinction or high quality associated with A Taste of China's version of this dish. Instead, the feedback points to significant problems with basic food preparation and hygiene.

These negative experiences strongly suggest that potential customers should exercise extreme caution when considering A Taste of China. The severity of these issues likely outweighs any potential positive aspects that are not mentioned in the provided feedback. Local users may want to consider alternative Chinese dining options in the Clayton area that have more positive and reassuring recent reviews regarding food quality and hygiene. Further investigation or perhaps avoiding this establishment based on the current feedback seems advisable.

Have been going here for over a year now as my go to place, but I will no longer be eating here. Found a large bug cooked into my food and was absolutely disgusted. I never really post unless I have something positive to say but I don't want others to have to experience something like this.

I went to Taste of China and ordered Chicken wings with Pork Fried Rice and when I received my order my meal was cold, rice was sticky and clumpy, and the chicken was greasy and had a bland taste. Service did not very welcoming and the Atmosphere there was boxes on the tables in the dining area near the wall.

Food was very disappointed. We ordered a large fried rice with shrimp, chicken and beef with extra shrimp for one the fried rice smelt burnt fried rice taste burnt. The shrimp was very soggy. It was just disappointing. This place has fell off since the last time I’ve been there my wife used to go there all the time, we haven’t been back in a while and I see now. I also ordered four chicken wings. The chicken wings were great. They were hot and they were delicious pork egg rolls, The eggrolls were subpar Meaning, not that great I don’t think we will be back there again.

I recently had a disappointing experience at a Chinese restaurant that I feel compelled to share. The food was incredibly bland and lacked any distinct flavors that are typically associated with Chinese cuisine. However, the worst part of the meal was definitely the fried rice. It was not only bland, but it also had a particularly nasty taste that was quite off-putting. To make matters worse, the service was far from satisfactory. The employee who took my order was short, curt, and downright rude. Their lack of professionalism and disregard for customer service was evident throughout my entire visit. I had ordered the beef and vegetables with fried rice along with a side of egg drop soup. Unfortunately, none of the dishes lived up to my expectations. The beef and vegetables lacked flavor and were overcooked, while the egg drop soup was watery and lacked the richness I had hoped for. Overall, my experience at this Chinese restaurant was extremely disappointing. The bland and nasty food, particularly the dreadful fried rice, combined with the rude and unprofessional service left me with a negative impression. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and works on improving both the quality of their food and the behavior of their employees.
