A Plus HK Style Cafe has garnered attention as an "excellent lunch spot," a testament to its quality, speed, and variety of offerings during the midday rush. One of the notable features is the availability of combo meals designed for single diners. These combos typically include a main dish from a select list, accompanied by a choice of a drink or soup, providing a convenient and satisfying option for individuals looking for a complete meal. The presence of "plenty of options" within these combos suggests a diverse selection to cater to different tastes and preferences, ensuring that there is likely something for everyone seeking a quick and tasty lunch.
Among the popular dishes at A Plus HK Style Cafe, the baked pork chop stands out. One reviewer specifically mentioned its quality and noted that they observed many other patrons also enjoying this particular dish. Baked pork chop is a classic Hong Kong cafe staple, often featuring a tender pork chop coated in a flavorful sauce and baked to perfection, sometimes served over rice or spaghetti. Its popularity at A Plus indicates that it is a well-prepared and satisfying menu item that resonates with the customers.
Interestingly, the same reviewer also noted seeing "a lot of people eating spaghetti." This highlights the unique fusion of Eastern and Western influences that is characteristic of Hong Kong style cafes. Spaghetti dishes, often prepared with Asian-inspired sauces and toppings, are a common and beloved part of this culinary tradition. The fact that it is frequently ordered at A Plus suggests that their spaghetti offerings are also noteworthy and cater to those seeking this specific Hong Kong cafe comfort food.
Another dish that received positive feedback is the black bean spare ribs served over rice. This Cantonese classic features tender spare ribs cooked in a savory black bean sauce, served atop a bed of rice. The reviewer who ordered this dish seemed satisfied with their choice, further indicating the quality and authenticity of the Cantonese dishes available at A Plus HK Style Cafe.
A practical aspect of dining at A Plus HK Style Cafe is the way the food is served. According to a customer, the food is already prepared and placed in "to go containers." This might contribute to the quick service that the restaurant is known for, especially during busy lunch hours. While this might suggest a more casual dining experience, it also offers the convenience of easily asking for a cover and taking any leftovers home, which is a practical benefit appreciated by diners.
The popularity of A Plus HK Style Cafe is evident in the fact that there was a wait during lunchtime. The process involves putting your party on a waiting list, indicating that the restaurant can get quite busy, likely due to its reputation for good food and efficient service. However, the reviewer also noted that "the wait is short though," suggesting that while there might be a brief period of waiting, it is generally not excessively long, making it still a viable option for those with limited time during lunch.
One reviewer specifically described A Plus HK Style Cafe as "a very Hong Kong style restaurant," emphasizing its authenticity. This is further supported by the observation that "all the customers were Chinese; everyone of them." A high proportion of customers from a specific ethnic background often indicates that the food served is true to its cultural roots and appeals to those who are most familiar with the cuisine. This strong endorsement of its Hong Kong style authenticity suggests that local users seeking a genuine taste of Hong Kong will find it at A Plus.
Another dish that received a positive mention is the seafood and mushrooms with noodles, which was described as "delicious." This highlights the variety within the menu, extending beyond rice dishes and baked items to include flavorful noodle options. The combination of seafood and mushrooms is a common and well-loved pairing in Cantonese and Hong Kong cuisine, and its positive reception at A Plus further attests to the restaurant's culinary capabilities.
The use of "disposable containers and utensils" is also mentioned as being characteristic of a Hong Kong style restaurant. This practice is common in many such establishments, prioritizing efficiency and convenience. While it might contribute to a more casual feel, it aligns with the fast-paced nature often associated with Hong Kong cafes and likely helps in maintaining quick service, especially during peak hours.
Based on the provided reviews, there is no specific promotional information available for A Plus HK Style Cafe. However, the positive feedback regarding the quality of the food, the efficient service, and the authentic Hong Kong style atmosphere likely serve as its primary means of attracting and retaining customers through word-of-mouth and positive online reviews. In conclusion, A Plus HK Style Cafe in Fremont offers a genuine taste of Hong Kong style cuisine in a casual and efficient setting. With popular dishes like the baked pork chop, a variety of combo meals, flavorful noodle options, and authentic Cantonese fare such as black bean spare ribs, it caters to those seeking a quick, delicious, and reasonably priced meal. Excellent lunch spot. There’s a combo for one if the dishes on the list and it comes with a drink or soup. Plenty of options. The baked pork chop is good, I saw alot of people eating spaghetti too. I got the black bean spare ribs over rice. The food is in to go containers already, makes it easy to ask for a cover and bring leftover home. There was a wait during lunch time and you have to put your party on the list, the wait is short though.
It is a very Hong Kong style restaurant, with disposable containers and utensils. All the customers were Chinese; everyone of them. The seafood and mushrooms with noodle was delicious.
Haven't been to this place in a while. Order their Chinese sausage and corn fried rice dish for $13.95. It came in a large to go box. It actually tasted pretty good. Service was good. My friends and I didn't have to wait long to order and receive our orders. It is a medium sized place so I can see it can be crowded for dinner really quickly. Ample free parking. I will probably go back again.
We like to come here to have our crave on Hong Kong cafe style food satisfied, even though we have to drive a long distance. And the price is very inexpensive. They have daily set menu with 4 choices that come with either a drink or soup of the day. Note that if you pay by credit card there will be a 3% additional charge. One thing I don't like is that they serve with all plastic bowls and utensils. The saving grace is that if you need to take you leftover home, they just need to give you a lid.
Hong Kong style tea restaurant . Ordered baked chicken rice , the on top white sauce tested no flavor just flour, inside chicken is deep fried but pretty good , rice is Thai rice ( dry ). Food quality is average, price is reasonable.
