888 Chinese Restaurant

Don’t waste your $$$ – the food is disappointing. I ordered from the traditional Chinese menu, expecting it to be better than places like Cooking Girls or Hu’s Cooking since it looked like an “authentic” Chinese restaurant. However, the cumin beef was one of the worst I’ve had anywhere – just a few slices of meat and mostly onions. The twice-cooked pork was also a letdown. The meat look raw and undercooked, with way too much fat. I am taking the foods back to them tmr

Probably wouldn’t come back to this location but honestly it’s really hard to find good Chinese food in Houston. The combination rice seemed over cooked or like they don’t clean the pans properly so it looks super greasy and honestly lacks flavor for having 3 meats. All the meats seemed over cooked and just bland. The beef brocoli also taste bland and lacked flavor for being filled with sauce. Just not great for the price they charge. The only thing I cared for was the eggroll.

Next time I will drive a bit further. But it will be Hu’s Cooking for us. The food is good. When asked about a side of green bean and if they could do them spicy. Keaton told me they wouldn’t do them. Cause the kitchen doesn’t like doing small sides spicy. It’s to much work. Wow, what happened to giving the customer what they want. I had to buy a whole meal just for spicy stir fried green beans. He acted uniform like he didn’t care when brought up how unprofessional that sounded. He told his friend next to him that Adam who ever that is. Told him, stuff like that couldn’t be ordered. I won’t be coming back. Unfortunately. I know losing one customer doesn’t matter. But they should think about the way they run a restaurant. Plus the service is very terrible. Keaton took what I said personal. And just came back with the food, dodnt even acknowledge me anymore. Like it’s my fault that they don’t do service correctly.

Absolutely one of the BEST Chinese places we've stopped at in Houston! The service was lovely (Thank you Mariana!), the Cheese Puffs are on point, the Pork Fried Rice was phenomenal, and the General Tso Chicken was literally some of the most tender Chicken we have EVER had! Do not pass this place up!

Amazing service and atmosphere our waiter marina had the amazing hospitality great attitude. The food was good as well. If you guys haven’t tried these restaurant I highly recommend it and ask for Mariana to serve you.
