EARLY AMERICAN TAVERN

I've been taking my kids here for years, but since new ownership, it is even better! The food is fabulous and it's nice to be able to trust the cook with making sure a steak or burger is the temperature that was ordered and they nail it every time. My husband and I used to go to a different restaurant for New Year's Eve but changed it to this place for 2025 since the food is always so great. And the waitress who is always there is fabulous! She makes you feel welcome and comfortably whenever you go. Our new favorite comfort restaurant!

Wonderful little old school tavern. Loved the original doors and rustic vibe. Server was very patient and attentive as we took our time to order and take in the atmosphere. Food was excellent. Got the big pretzel and the whiskey mustard was awesome. The wings were nice and crispy and the honey Buffalo was top notch Excellent burgers and chicken sandwiches as well!

Great food but occasionally missing items on the menu, or an old menu is still posted online (these first two are most common), or an order is brought out slightly incorrect (least common)... Never a big deal but room for improvement. If you see something you really want to order, just call in advance to make sure they actually have it. Overall, go, eat. Don't miss out on this place because of my above critique. Staff is also awesome. Finally, if vegetarian, there are enough options available for you not to go hungry.

What a cute little honey trap. I will never get that hour and a half of my life back. Our first question was if this 24hr tavern’s kitchen was open. My friend and I just worked out in the cold all day. We were exhausted and just wanted a warm meal. I’ve never left a place feeling more strong armed and exhausted. You’d think the food would refuel us but the experience drained what little life we had left. We were forced to order coffee with Bailey’s and chicken wings that were bone in(not what we ordered) and the wrong flavor. On top of this very specific disappointing meal selected by anyone but us, we had to listen to the entire life story of not one but two older gentleman that worked there. When it was time to go we happily gathered our stuff just to be trapped in by two very over served young men being checked out. The entire thing felt like manipulation not a nice dining experience. You could not pay me to go back. Spending time in that place was like living in an episode of the twilight zone.

I remember coming to this place when it used to be the Sussex Inn but E.A.T. Is fantastic! My uncle and I had a great time there for late lunch/ early dinner. Our server Amanda was so sweet and funny ! 10/10 would totally come back again. The food was delicious and the drinks were great :)
