Chang’s.

People were a little hard to understand. But the food was excellent. The service was good. The price is fair. I would highly recommend this as an alternative to the normally good P.F. Chang’s. That’s across the street and sucks.

The chef is very passionate and kind about his food, which tastes delicious without being too sweet/ salty/ overwhelming. Portion sizes are generous and pricing is very reasonable. The green beans are flavourful and perfect for vegetable lovers. Salt and pepper fish fried perfectly and very fresh (chilli sauce is amazing). Dumplings are saucy and soft. The new dish luo ro fan (Taiwanese chicken over rice) is simple yet so flavourful and addictive. Bahn mi seems very popular. The restaurant is spacious and nice and overall would definitely recommend this, whether for in person or takeout.

Ordered for take out dinner. I feel just alright about the pad thai, but the wings are incredibly good…crispy outside and juicy inside even after 2 hours after I picked it up. Please try the mango habanero sauce!! Their waitresses are extremely friendly, they offered me water when I was placing my order🥺🥺will be back if I visit Washington DC again.

Fresh and flavorful food and it was less crowded when we went. Service was appreciative. Pho on a winter day, recommend this place.

Updated: I went back again few days before Christmas, and found out my favorite Taiwanese Chef, Kenny Hu (previous owner of Taiwan Cafe VA) now works there and they added several of his signature dishes in the menu (I.e. Three Cup Chicken (三杯雞), Long Pepper Beef (小椒牛), Braised Pork over rice (滷肉飯)… and more). I had Guabao and Chicken Chop over Rice and both dishes bought me back to my hometown Taiwan! It is worth to mention that they have breakfast menu too (The Menu, attached), and seems like some interesting and delicious choices. Will also stop by next time to give it a try! 👍👍👍👍
