From the moment we walked in, we were transported to a world of opulence and excess, with a japanese décor that was both lavish and intimate. But the real star of the show was the food. We ordered a variety of dishes, but the standout for me was the Snapper in the Sand. This dish was a masterclass in presentation and flavor, with a full snapper served on a bed of "salty sand" The combination of textures and flavors was absolute perfection. The service was also top-notch, with our server knowledgeable and attentive. The atmosphere was intimate and classy. Overall, I would highly recommend TAO Restaurant to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable dining experience in Hollywood. They blew my mind as I usually don't expect fancy restaurants to have every dish taste good and well balanced. Ate plenty but still feel light and satisfied afterward. Definitely recommend as their food are nutrients dense as well as amazing atmosphere!

The ambiance was incredible, the energy was just right, and the service was exceptional. A huge shoutout to our bartender, Gabe—he was amazing! Personable, entertaining, and truly made our night unforgettable. Every recommendation he gave was spot on, and we were having such a blast that we completely forgot to take pictures of our food (but trust me, it was delicious). However, we did make sure to get a photo with Gabe because he was the real MVP of the night! To top it all off, he treated us to a free shot and made us feel like VIPs. Gabe, TAO is lucky to have you—you’re an absolute asset! Thank you for making our experience so special. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in LA!
