About 3 Times

Welcome to 3 Times, a Chinese restaurant situated at 964 Amsterdam Ave in the vibrant Upper West Side of New York City. As a Chinese restaurant serving the local community, 3 Times focuses on providing a range of Chinese culinary offerings, primarily catering to those seeking takeout options. Located in Manhattan, specifically at 964 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10025, 3 Times is accessible to residents and visitors in the area looking for Chinese cuisine.

For placing to-go orders or for any inquiries, 3 Times can be contacted at their phone number (646) 370-5552 or their mobile number +1 646-370-5552. These contact details make it convenient for local users to reach out and place orders for pickup.

Based on the available customer reviews, 3 Times appears to be a restaurant frequently utilized for takeout orders. One customer mentioned having visited "a few times for to-go orders," indicating a regular patronage for this service. This suggests that 3 Times is geared towards providing efficient and reliable takeout options for those who prefer to enjoy their meals at home or elsewhere.

In terms of food quality, one reviewer described it as "solid," particularly highlighting the consistency of their dumplings and chicken dishes. This suggests that these specific items may be reliable choices for customers. The same reviewer also noted that the entree portions are "good for the price," indicating a perceived value in the amount of food provided for the cost. This aspect can be an important consideration for budget-conscious diners.

Regarding the dine-in environment, the feedback suggests that 3 Times offers a very basic seating area, described as "bare-bones" with the capacity for only "2-3 small parties tops." This implies that while dine-in service might be available, the restaurant's primary focus and infrastructure are likely more oriented towards takeout. Customers looking for a comfortable or spacious dine-in experience may find the seating at 3 Times limited.

The menu at 3 Times includes a variety of Chinese dishes, as indicated by the customer reviews mentioning specific items ordered. These include "dumplings," "chicken dishes," "scallion pancake with beef," and "kung pao chicken." The scallion pancake with beef and kung pao chicken were part of a single order in one of the reviews, providing a glimpse into the variety of options available. Scallion pancakes are a popular Northern Chinese savory flatbread, often served as a snack or appetizer, while kung pao chicken is a well-known Sichuan dish featuring diced chicken, peanuts, vegetables, and chili peppers.

However, it is important to note a significant concern raised in one of the reviews. The customer who ordered the scallion pancake with beef and the kung pao chicken reported that the "kung pao chicken was not cooked enough," describing the meat as "very pink." This individual also stated that they experienced "mild food poisoning and discomfort" after eating there and would not return. This is a serious piece of feedback that potential customers should consider. Food safety is paramount, and reports of undercooked food leading to illness are significant.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for 3 Times in the provided text. Local users interested in any special offers, discounts, or new menu items would need to contact the restaurant directly or check online platforms where restaurants often post promotions. It is also possible that as a primarily takeout-focused establishment with a small seating area, 3 Times may not heavily engage in traditional promotional activities.

In summary, 3 Times is a Chinese restaurant located in the Upper West Side of New York City, primarily catering to takeout orders. Customers have generally found the quality of certain items like dumplings and chicken dishes to be solid, and the entree portions to be good for the price. The dine-in seating is described as very limited. The menu includes a variety of dishes such as dumplings, chicken dishes, scallion pancake with beef, and kung pao chicken. However, a concerning review reported undercooked chicken leading to illness, which potential customers should take into account. Without any specific promotional information, local users are advised to consider all available feedback and potentially contact the restaurant directly for more information.

Been here a few times for to-go orders. the quality is solid - dumplings are mostly consistent, as are the chicken dishes. The entree portions are good for the price. Very bare-bones seating area (2-3 small parties tops) but that doesn't affect the food.

Got the scallion pancake with beef and the kung pao chicken. Not sure the kung pao chicken was cooked enough, the meat was very pink and I got mild food poisoning and discomfort after eating there. Would not come here again.

The crab soup dumplings were fantastic, and the hot and sour soup was equally enjoyable. We also loved the fried sticky rice with beef. However, the salt and pepper squid was disappointing—it felt more like salt and pepper dough. We didn’t enjoy it and won’t be ordering it again in the future.

I found 3 Times in UberEats, it was farther from us than we typically order. The delivery time said 20-25 min, it took 35 min, but the food was still warm. We ordered a few small things since we weren’t super hungry. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. Veg. Fried Rice and Beef Scallions were the favorites. The spring rolls had very little in them, but they were tasty.

The soup dumplings were good. The buns were a little bit undercooked. The meat filling inside the buns was very tasty, though! I ordered for pick up and it was still being prepared when I arrived, but I didn’t mind because that meant it was fresh!
