I saw a video on YouTube that talked about the story of the owners and his restaurant. I looked it up on Google and saw it was a 4.5 so I decided to go check it out. Unfortunately, it wasn’t what I expected. Crab ragoon was good, the noodles were decent but the meat was dry and burnt.
Crab rangoons are a must order! The filing was the best I've ever had. Lemon pepper chicken with the char siu combo was to die for. Everything was seasoned well and juicy! 9/10. Would come back again! Pictured: lemon pepper+BBQ pork char siu rice combo with egg, salt+pepper rice combo with egg, crab rangoons, salt and pepper chicken sandwich
For the last 2 years, every time my boyfriend visited Chicago (from LA), he asked to try 3LP. When it was a ghost kitchen we had a hard time trying to get an order in and almost gave up because it was always sold out or google would say temporarily closed, but my friend recently found out there was a physical sit down location and I knew we all had to go. Finally had that chance today! Art outside the building was so cute and we even had a chance to talk to the owner for a bit! He was really down to earth and super humble. The food was phenomenal. They expanded their menu from what we remembered seeing on the ghost kitchen menu. The food ACTUALLY looks like the photos, which is crazy because the fried chicken sandwich is as ginormous as it looks but it’s well worth the money. Everything felt very fairly priced in comparison to the portion. I personally ate the sweet and sour pineapple chicken which was flavored so well, but I have to say that the pie goons really took my breath away. It had just the right amount of sweetness to it. I left 3LP with a very happy stomach and a very happy bf!
Here’s what we ordered for dinner: - Chicken & bbq pork + bbq pork fried rice combo box (was a banger, my favorite was the bbq pork) - Hot pot beef sandwich - Crab rangoons (also good, came with the same sweet and sour sauce) - Curly fries Food came out to about $40. Delicious and we had some fried rice leftover as a side later. Food was well prepared and came out quick. Loved the art!
Great atmosphere and amazing food. Everything my group had was delicious! The chicken sandwich was giant! Fried rice was great. Upgraded to chicken and there were big chunks of crispy chicken. Orange chicken and sweet and sour pineapple chicken had great flavors! Portions are generous and filling. Ordering was quick and easy. We sat outside in the back patio. Beautiful murals by Birdmilk and Birdcap and others. Will definitely be coming back to try more menu items
