I visited this restaurant hoping for a good meal, but unfortunately, the service was noticeably different depending on who was being served. While I observed friendly and prompt service for Korean customers, I personally experienced dismissive and slow service. It was disappointing to feel unwelcome in a place that should treat all customers with respect. I hope the management takes steps to ensure equal treatment for everyone.

If you like to eat and drink, Todam is a great choice especially if you like to eat Korean food and drink soju in the Duluth or Suwanee area. Usually, local Koreans hangout here and the menu is mostly in Korean. Last couple of times, we ordered seafood tteokbokki, crab fish cake, and more when we go here for Round 2. Service is usually quick and the food always tastes good. I really like their kimchi, but it used to be much spicier. This time, after some good KBBQ not too far away, we stopped by here for a couple of hours last Saturday night.

There is parking right by the restaurant. Inside is pretty standard. There are spaces available to accommodate larger groups. Definitely more of a casual hang out spot that’s good for getting drinks. There wasn’t any wait and service was pretty fast. Good variety of side dishes all very well seasoned. Assorted pancakes: There was shrimp, mussels, zucchini, meat patty and jalapeño with ground pork. Everything was coated with an egg/tempura mixture. Not too oily. Personally favorite was the jalapeño one, very well seasoned with just a slight bit of spicy to it. Don’t eat the zucchini first, super hot (temperature wise) when it first arrived. Pork jowl: not as tender as I’ve had before but good flavor. Spicy pork belly: not too spicy at all, taste just like any other pork belly. Short ribs: very well seasoned, slightly sweet but SO tender! Didn’t eat the veggies that came with the meat simply because I preferred the side dishes. Spicy sausage stew: not spicy and I’ve had better elsewhere. Drinks were very responsibly priced! Overall I enjoyed it and would be back. Would opt to try a different stew.

During my second visit to this restaurant with a friend for a Soju session, we decided to step out of our comfort zone and try something new. My friend suggested the spicy chicken feet, and to my surprise, it was excellent! Although it required some effort to separate the small portions of meat from the bones, the flavor was well worth it. We ended up ordering two portions, which turned out to be just right for both of us. Along with the chicken feet, we ordered a large bottle of Soju, which paired perfectly with the spicy dish. Additionally, the salad that accompanied our meal was also delicious, enhancing our overall dining experience. With its variety of fusion foods and specialties, this restaurant has become a popular hangout spot for many young people in the town where I live.

Experience was outrageous and just completely absurd. All the ladies serving us seemed like they didn't want to work, or for some reason had a bad day idk, but let it out on the customers. Especially lady with dyed brownish hair. We asked for the bare bare minimum(asked for sprite, aprons), yet they did not fail to show us attitude the whole time. Afterwards, like decent people we are, we tipped them about 7 dollars which was around 12%? As we left, lady comes out RUNNING saying it is mandatory to tip 18%. I work in service and while everyone works hard to earn their tips, these ladies think its a right not a privelage to get tipped. We came in here all the time. I can't lie the food is amazing. However, all the previous workers were not present. Those ladies were very enjoyable to talk to and we always. Im talking always tipped at least 20% -25%. This behavior is outrageous, to come out running for more tip. Please just go to the duluth one or just don't go at all. Hopefully the owner gets rid of these ladies or more so LADY, and finds a way to rebuild this place back to it's prime.
