About 100 Mei Wei

100 Mei Wei is a Chinese restaurant located at 100 Martin St in Kingston, Tennessee, with the zip code 37763. As a local Chinese restaurant, 100 Mei Wei offers a variety of Chinese dishes, primarily catering to takeout customers based on the available reviews. They can be contacted at (865) 376-2033 or via their mobile number at +1 865-376-2033.

Recent customer feedback on 100 Mei Wei presents a somewhat mixed perspective. One customer shared a highly positive experience, expressing their satisfaction with their order. They found everything to be "delicious" and specifically praised the "generous" portion sizes. This reviewer also highlighted the "great" prices, particularly during lunch hours, suggesting that 100 Mei Wei offers good value for money, especially for midday meals. They also enjoyed the hot tea and found the egg drop soup to be "very tasty," although they noted it was "a bit thick." Overall, this customer strongly recommended grabbing takeout from 100 Mei Wei, giving their experience a perfect rating of 10/10.

In contrast, another customer reported a significantly negative experience with their order. This reviewer claimed that their containers were predominantly filled with rice, with "little to no main meats" in the dishes they ordered. They expressed feeling defrauded by this discrepancy and stated their intention to no longer patronize the restaurant, indicating they would be seeking a new go-to Chinese restaurant. This customer, who mentioned being a patron for two years, was particularly upset by what they perceived as a consistent issue of receiving an excessive amount of rice compared to the ordered meat. They explicitly stated that they did not order an "all rice dish" yet received an order that was "90% rice 10% meat." This level of dissatisfaction led them to declare their intention to contact the state authorities with photographic evidence and their receipt, advocating for the closure of businesses engaging in such practices.

Considering these two recent reviews, there appears to be a notable disparity in customer experiences at 100 Mei Wei. On one hand, there is positive feedback regarding the taste of the food, the generous portion sizes (at least for some items), and the favorable prices, especially during lunch. The hot tea and egg drop soup were also mentioned as enjoyable. This suggests that 100 Mei Wei has the potential to provide a satisfying takeout experience.

However, the serious complaint about the disproportionate amount of rice compared to meat in ordered dishes raises significant concerns about the consistency and accuracy of orders. This issue not only affects the perceived value of the meal but also suggests a potential problem with quality control or ingredient ratios. The customer's strong reaction, including the accusation of fraudulent practices and the intention to report the restaurant to state authorities, indicates a severe level of dissatisfaction with this particular aspect of their experience.

The environment of 100 Mei Wei is not explicitly described in the provided reviews. Since both reviews focus on takeout orders, there is no information available about the dine-in ambiance or decor of the restaurant. Similarly, details about the services offered are limited to takeout, although it can be inferred that the restaurant likely prepares food for pickup. The friendly service mentioned by the positive reviewer suggests that the staff handling takeout orders are pleasant and efficient.

The features of 100 Mei Wei that can be gleaned from these reviews include potentially delicious food, generous portions (though this might vary depending on the dish), and great lunch prices. The availability of hot tea and a tasty (though thick) egg drop soup are also notable. However, a significant potential drawback is the inconsistent ratio of main ingredients to rice in some dishes, which has led to accusations of misleading practices.

No specific promotional information is mentioned in the provided reviews. To learn about any current specials, discounts, or lunch deals at 100 Mei Wei, it would be advisable to contact the restaurant directly via phone or inquire when placing an order. Many local Chinese restaurants offer lunch specials or other promotions that might not be widely advertised online.

In conclusion, 100 Mei Wei in Kingston, TN, presents a mixed profile based on recent customer feedback. While some customers have enjoyed the delicious food, generous portions, and good prices (especially at lunch), there is a serious concern raised by another customer regarding the significant imbalance of rice to meat in their order, leading to accusations of misleading practices. Potential customers might want to consider these contrasting experiences when deciding to order from 100 Mei Wei. It may be prudent to clarify the expected proportions of ingredients when placing an order, especially for dishes where meat is a primary component. Contacting the restaurant directly for any information on current promotions or to inquire about the typical composition of their dishes might also be beneficial.

I'm so glad I got the chance to order here, everything was delicious! The portions are generous, the prices are great especially during lunch, and everything tasted so good. I love the hot tea, and the egg drop soup is very tasty, though a bit thick. I definitely recommend grabbing some takeout here if you have the chance 10/10!

The Mongolian beef was okay. The hot and sour soup was very bad. They don’t taste like it is supposed to taste at all. Very disappointed since I got a large one. Had to throw it away after one sip. But the young lady at the front was very efficient and professional so 3 stars.

I was traveling through and excited to see they had vegan/vegetarian options. I got the General Tso’s Tofu to go, and ate it by the lake. They were friendly, the prices were normal, and the service was quick. My only complaint is of the flavor. It was mediocre. If I am in the area again I will try a different dish for sure.

Great food! We ordered takeout today and had vegetable soup, egg drop wonton soup, plain lomein and corn nuggets. Hot and fresh and delicious! Had enough to save for later.
