Min’s Bistro Chinese Cuisine
Yang Zhou fried rice, Chow Fun (paid extra for beef but not evident, at least it was tasty), sautéed mixed veggies (overcooked). spicy garlic soy edamame (was really yummy), Mushu pork w/ pancake (they forgot to send the pancake, this dish was our sole purpose of ordering today, very disappointing), shrimp pan fried noodles (noodles were thick chow mein size, first time seeing this), and I did call the restaurant right away, he apologized, said he would give something extra next time very nonchalantly.
My wife's boss recommended Min's Bistro highly, especially touting Mongolian Beef as a must item. Since we were nearby after a medical appointment and were hungry. So we thought: "Why not!" Food: we ordered the Mongolian Beef, Honey Walnut Shrimp lunch specials and xiao long bao as an appetizer. We got the xiao long bao first. The taste wasn't terrible. It didn't taste that good either. They smack of having sat in the freezer a bit too long and had dried out a bit. So meh it was. 2 out of 5 stars. Would not recommend ordering unless your hankering for XLB is overwhelming. After the disappointing XLB, Min's Bistro redeemed itself with the actual lunch specials. Each dish was served with a bowl of rice and a hot an sour soup. The Mongolian Beef was delicious. It was perfectly cooked where the meat was tasty and tender. The onion and scallions were perfectly sautéed nearly to the point of caramelization. By itself, this is a 5-star item. The Honey Walnut Shrimp were made with a large shrimp. They were shelled and deveined properly. You'd be surprise how many Chinese restaurants don't deveined their shrimps properly. But Min's Bistro did an excellent job with it. The taste of the shrimp itself was decent. The mayo was a bit overly much. I'd recommend the kitchen to either cut back on the mayo or do a 2-step stir-frying plus deep-frying process to lend the shrimps with slightly crunchy mayo shells. That would've better complemented the honey walnuts. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. Service & atmosphere: the restaurant is minimalist chic. It looks clean and well maintained. Eddie, our server, did a good job of covering the 4 tables of customer. The service wasn't super quick. But it wasn't slow or inattentive either. Anyhow, it's consistent with other 50-dollar lunch for 2 places. Conclusion: I would come back to Min's Bistro if I am ever looking for lunch at Yorba Linda again.
Tan's House
The best place to go for Chinese food. The service was fantastic and the prices were even better. You have to try this place at least once. It'll be your go to Chinese food place for the rest of your life.
All we like the Chinese style BBQ. We order lamb skewers, chicken cartilage, sausage, and pork belly. Spicy and non spicy both. So yummy. The fired Crab is very fresh, kids love the deep fired squid lot. Specially the service is go great, give us free cold dishes, and the snacks for kids also. If you like Chinese BBQ with skewers, give a try.
D&D FireArt Chinese Cuisine
I have gone for lunch on both M-F and the weekend. The pictures are from the weekday special lunch which had generous portions and included soup, egg roll and the entree. The food was as good as Panda Express but not much better. It was bland and the soup was pretty tasteless. The weekend lunch is much more expensive and it only includes the entree. The service was poor. They never even came to see how we were doing and there was just one other table. We couldn’t even get our water glasses refilled. We have gone at least four times and the service was about the same.
I had tried take out from this restaurant many months ago. We had picked up food from Lettuce Wok and Roll, the previous owner, for many years and loved their food. However, when i first tried D&D, we were extremely disappointed. The food was greasy and skimpy. Last night changed our minds. The shrimp with lobster sauce was tasty and plentiful as well as the Lo Mein noodles we ordered. The only complaint we had was that instead of getting the combo fried rice I ordered, we were given the mixed vegetable plate which was very good but not what we ordered. Of course I didn't realize it until i arrived back home. The price was the same so I didn't bother calling the restaurant to let them know about the mistake. We highly recommend the food and will be back again.
Mix Gourmet
Currently experiencing food poisoning from this place. Got orange chicken and ate a few bites before realizing it was not even cooked in the middle. Dumped it right out but it was too late.
The food is clean and amazing. I don't believe they have dine in, I've only grabbed to go. Very friendly staff. Hours vary and the online reported hours are frequently incorrect. The food is good enough that I don't care!
Panda Express
Absolutely love this Panda Express location in Yorba Linda! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean and well-maintained the restaurant was. The newer tables and chairs created a fresh and inviting atmosphere. But what truly made my experience stand out was the exceptional service, especially from David! David went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. From warmly greeting customers to ensuring orders were prepared with care, his attentiveness and generosity with portions made my visit feel extra special. It is rare to find staff who genuinely care about providing great service, and David absolutely delivered. The food was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving. With such outstanding hospitality and quality, there is no doubt I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this location..
This is one of my favorite Panda Express in Yorba Linda area! They have the freshest cooked dishes. And the staffs are friendly here.....After my last bad experience at In-N-Out with no masks for the restaurant staffs, this time I make sure the staffs at Panda wear masks, which all of them did!
