Chinatown express 88
My family and I all like this Chinese fast food, this restaurant has a new owner, the food is more fresh and delicious, the restaurant adds new food, my family and I have been enjoying the food here
Hi. The food is so fresh. Everything is yummy here . I like the boba tea. The orange chicken is super good. The workers are super kind when I order . I love eating here.
Chinese Express
Just had a quick bite as you know that Asian food is my favorite in the world. I’m always in a rush but I don’t like to eat McDonald’s or Burger King. I would rather eat here any day. I was actually impressed with the food. Not in the best area not going to lie and a bunch of homeless people camped outside the location. I would at least come here once wouldn’t be my top Asian food place though. But it’s solid for fast Chinese food when you don’t have the time to wait when sitting at a restaurant. I got teriyaki and a plate combination with 2 sides. Teriyaki chicken and spicy chicken wings.
I ordered the chow mein, BBQ pork, and jalapeno chicken with two egg rolls. The good was surprisingly delicious, but the chicken was chewy and tough. The breading on the jalapeno chicken was not as crispy or as fresh as I'd have liked. The store itself, although fit with tables, is not a place to really dine in. The staff were so friendly and nice, it's hard to rate the atmosphere low.
Hong Kong Express
My husband has been coming here for 15 years. Food and portions have never disappointed. The workers have changed. However, this time I ordered a wonton soup. One of my favorites. Unfortunately, there was several maggots floating in the soup. I let the owner know. He returned my money. He said it's from the broccoli shipment. Then I started think how about the broccoli beef. Which is also a staple to their business. They promised to "wash they veggies more" If you go there just inspect your food before consuming.
Best customer service ever. The staff was very friendly. Prices are good and the food is even better. Finally some Chinese food that isn't super grease. please could be cleaner but I seen a lot worse. I would definitely recommend it.
Fu Shing
Just moved into the area. Came by and loved it. This is the Chinese food i miss. 5 pound combo box. It was fresh when i got there. The food was good too. Lady up front was nice and friendly.
Went around 7:00 pm and got the worst Chinese food I ever ate. Everything was old and seriously tasted like it had mildew or chemicals in it. Chow mien was gross and had aftertaste. Orange chicken was soggy yet dried and old. Teriyaki chicken had sour skin. Only edible thing I got was the fried chicken wings. Not gonna lie, they were crunchy and decent but still not fresh. Avoid at all cost until they hire a new cook and the health department checks them out.
Chinatown Fast Food
I've been coming here since I was a little kid. You get a good amount of food on your plate. I wish it was more seasoned overall but it's still tasty. The Teriyaki Chicken was a bit dry and hard but otherwise ok. The drinks range from $1.25 - $3
I come here whenever I can. And I always enjoy the food. It's like a treat for me. I know not alot of people will agree with me on how good the food is, but to me, it's the best. Honestly, this is 10x better than panda express.
China Chef's Express Chinese Food
The employees/cashier is extremely rude, discourteous, and impolite to various customers, due to the staff it's a very unwelcoming environment. The food is kept at poor temperatures & QUESTIONABLE AS TO THE TRUE SOURCE AND ORIGIN OF THE MEAT IF YOU GATHER WHAT I'M INFERRING without be overt. I suggest Panda 🐼 Express just a short distance away on Washington between Trinity and Maple or if you don't care for Panda I suppose find something somewhere else or eat/dine/take out at your own risk.
There food is okay if you get it freshly done but not good once it's been sitting there for hours. There soups are descent. They don't like to waste food here even if it means serving past date meats and seafood to their customers. It doesn't happen all the time but does happen so make sure to smell the food before you eat. They also will sell you food that's already dry and stale and this includes the fried rice, steamed rice and chow mein. Another thing I don't like is they take cash with the same hands they prepare your plate with. They never wear gloves and don't wash their hands often enough. They continually raise their prices every three months but the quality of the food continues to go down.
Chinese Fast Food
The staff are nice people always ready to serve people once you walk in the restaurant. Sometimes they greet with a nice hello. The food is always great, with no issues so far, I do recommend getting a cookie n cream drink it's really delicious. You can also ask if you want Boba or not. This is the only place I go to for a good orange chicken. All the other places can't compare.
Well I been coming to this place 5yrs now is the BEST Chinese Food restaurant in South L.A, food is tasty, fresh and delicious, the ladies are sooo nice, great costumer service, my kiddos love this place, the best of this place are the prices and the amount of food you get for a order, the boba drinks are great as well ...I have nothing bad to say about this place, we just finish eat this by the way..yummy as always EXTREMELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
Hong Kong Bowl & La Fried Chicken
The rice wasn't sticky, orange chicken was mushy not crispy, chow mein was delicious and so was the fish filet but was a bit salty. I spent $13 a plate.
What an incredible meal! The service was excellent—friendly, fast, and efficient. The staff was happy to accommodate special requests, and the food came out promptly. We loved the sesame chicken and the shrimp with lobster sauce; both were so flavorful and well-prepared. The ambiance was warm and peaceful, with soft music and beautiful traditional Chinese décor that made for a relaxing meal. This place truly offers a wonderful balance of exceptional food, great service, and a charming atmosphere. I’ll definitely return!
Lucky's
I’ve been coming to Lucky’s Chinese Food for a while now, and it never disappoints. The portions are super generous for the price, and the food always hits the spot hot, fresh, and flavorful. The chow mein and fried rice is fire too, always cooked just right and not overly greasy like some other spots. What really sets this place apart, though, is the service. The staff is always friendly, fast, and welcoming. Even when they’re busy, they move quickly and stay polite. You can tell they care about keeping customers happy.
This is the go-to spot for amazing Chinese food! Their chow mein is absolutely my favorite—it has a unique flavor that sets it apart from other places I've tried. The food here is consistently excellent, and the staff are incredibly friendly, always providing fast, outstanding service. Highly recommend
Chinatown Express
When you order all kind of soups. They always made a mistakes. They don't say nothing to the people who prepare the food a lot of homeless people asking for money and dangerous place. Lot of fights outside strongly not recommended especially for families
Got a plate through Uber eats cause I thought it was my favorite chinese restaurant but no, food was disgusting literally spat out the piece I bit into. Mushroom chicken just taste straight like shat, chicken wings don't even look or taste like chicken wings. Fried rice... never seen no fried rice that look like curry rice. Never been to this restaurant just the order through insta cart but that will be my last. These chefs needa taste their food before selling it cause wat in the disgusting.
Chinese Express
Located in the 103rd shopping center between Subway and Popeyes, Chinese Express unfortunately doesn't live up to the expectations. As a Watts native, I can confidently say there are better Chinese food options out there. We really need to raise our standards and stop settling for mediocre food and hyping it up. The chow mein was drenched in oyster sauce and oil the noodles were slimy. The “orange chicken” tasted heavily of cornstarch and came with wilted cabbage mixed in—who thought that was a good idea? The combination with sweet and sour sauce instead of orange sauce was just puzzling. I ordered orange chicken… And the fried rice? It was incredibly bland. Overall, I would not recommend look elsewhere for a better Chinese food experience.
Reasonable prices but the taste wasn't there. The shrimp fried rice tasted like precooked shrimp that had been overcooked, and the rice was hard. I loved this place in the early 2000's but never again.
Hong Kong Bowl
I don’t live in LA anymore but I still think about this spot and I try to go each time I visit. Great noodles. They have been consistently delicious for decades. Must try.
Worst Chinese fast food Ive ever had. I ordered a plate and 4 wings which ended up costing almost $18 which is already insane, I had chow mein with mushroom chicken, orange chicken, and 4 wings. The chow mein was oily and flavorless, orange chicken was basically all mush and no chicken, and the mushroom chicken was wet and bland. The chicken wings were mostly fat and the inside was barely cooked. First time trying this since I've moved to this area and never again will. Worst $18 I've ever spent. Stay away from this place.
