Magic Wok
Honestly the service was nice the lady that took our order and serve us the food was nice . It’s only family owned so I love the fact they’re all their helping their mom which I think the owner . Tbh the sisig was mid like 3/5 I’m very picky when comes to sisig I like flavorful bc it’s one of a Filipino staple dish . My bf had the chicken silog which contains sunny side up eggs , egg fried rice and deep fried chicken wings . The pancit canton I like it was like Chinese style which was delicious with veggies , shrimp and chicken . The lumpia was delicious too . I tried for my drink was the manis con yellow it’s ok . The place is just more just a lil run down but it’s ok to dine in and enjoy a meal . Definitely will come back see what other items to try it was cheap and affordable. Only costed $56 for all this food . I think some things are better than others so definitely check out yelp and look at the popular items on what to get .
This place has always been a favorite spot for lunch. Since covid, they no longer have indoor seating. That said, the Pinoy Breakfast A Pork Tosilog is a must-have. Always go for the double meat option for good measure. Don't forget to use the vinegar they include as it brings out the flavor of the pork and egg yolk!
King Wah Chinese Restaurant
Super good especially the walnut Honey Prawn and Wanton soup . We love their food
Decent chinese food but the portion has become smaller and price higher. It was very small portion on the orange chicken today. The beef chow fun has decent amount of noodle but not so much in beef.
Hunan House
Delicious Food and Great Service! Hunan House is a hidden gem in the Bay Area! The food is consistently flavorful, with bold and authentic Hunan-style dishes. The spicy dishes, like the preserved eggs with eggplant and hunan style sautéed pork are an absolute must-try if you love heat. The service is attentive and friendly, and the staff is happy to recommend dishes if you’re unsure. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. If you’re in the area and craving delicious Chinese food with a spicy kick, Hunan House is definitely worth a visit! Would you like me to include anything more specific about the restaurant?
This place serves spicy and flavorful Chinese food at reasonable prices, with great service. The dishes I tried were perfectly seasoned, striking the right balance of spice and flavor. Highly recommend!
Famous Food Chinese Restaurant
Note this 5 star is specifically for the Weekend Special menu. This place is takeout only. The Tianjin style crepe with fried stick, steamed buns with pork and Chinese chives pancake were all excellent, especially washed down with fresh soy milk. They also were really quick service. Super filling, we ended up ordering too much. Have to reheat at home since it's takeout only, but this is a very solid choice for Weekend Chinese-style breakfast if you don't mind reheating.
Recommendation: braised pig trotters 卤猪蹄. In expensive Shandong restaurant providing rich options for Chinese style breakfast. Take out only. No table for dine in. Waiting time can be long but we were lucky as we come when they just open. They provide authentic options like soy milk 豆浆, fritters 油条, Chinese savior crepe 煎饼果子, jellied bean curd tofu curd豆腐脑. We tried 旮旯汤 and braised pig trotters 卤猪蹄. There are many different flavors of buns like 猪肉茴香、菠菜、天津小肉包。 As I am from south China, I can feel the love towards sesame sauce from people in the north. They even have it in the soup. I am not used to it but it tastes good. It is very interesting to try. Soy milk and fritters are ok and my favourite is the pig trotters~
Asia Village Restaurant
I’ve been here several times before. I ordered two to go this time. And I’m really appreciate they separate the crispy noodles from the seafood, so the noodles are still crispy even after I’m back home! Great taste and good value! Highly recommend!
Big portions cooked to perfection. Recommend the clay pot and the stir fried noodles (chow mein / 炒面), everything was delicious though! First time I've seen Hot and Sour Wonton Soup and I had to try it too! Great service, complimentary honey lemon drink too.
李海龙麻辣烫-LHLMalatang
Amazing! Never had this kind of soup before but it was so flavorful, I'll definitely come here again. I had the spicy pork broth. I always ask for the spiciest setting in all restaurants I go to but this is the first time in this area where I actually got something that was spicy enough for me. You choose what to put inside which is really nice as I prefer to avoid seafood but the meat and vegetable options were delicious.
I like this place. Have been here twice since it opened. The flavor reminds me of my hometown. They have many choices for ingredients and soup base. I personally like the bone broth the most. You can eat the vegetables inside and drink the rich soup. They also have curry or tomato soup base that is friendly to vegetarians as well. Come give it a try!
Hunan Mifen | Lawrence
Good place to get Hunan style rice noodle soup. They serve the meat in hot sauce separate from the noodle, so you could control the amount of hot sauce to get into the noodle soup. Just be warned that if you pour in the whole bowl of meat and hot sauce, be prepared for some really really hot and exciting experience!
Ordered their special set— the menu said super spicy, but the good thing was the rice noodle with soup and the beef came separately, so you could adjust the level of spice on your own. The rice noodle was pretty chewy, and the flavor was really good. One thing worth mentioning should be don’t overestimate how much spice you could handle.
Xiang Xiang Noodle
My new favorite restaurant in the Bay Area. Everything I've gotten so far has been amazing, but the dandan noodle and salt and pepper eggplant are my personal favorites. Super friendly and welcoming staff. I've been here 4 times in the past week and will keep coming back!
I order the Beef Shank Noddle soup and the beef and noodle are excellent. Mr. Ma recommended us to try the Sale Pepper Eggplant is taste good as well. Overall very good services and can see Mr. Ma's great handstand performance show for us. Highly recommend this restaurant and will come back again.
Dumpling Station
We had two types of delicious dumplings with soup; one was steamed and the other was pan-fried. My son enjoyed the braised pork over steamed white rice.
Food are pretty good and price are decent. Very little customers at lunch. Staff isn't very friendly.
Joy Wok
Excellent food. I leave my reviews after having tried 2 different dishes on 2 different days....whenever that happens. Food is awesome at this small place. I ordered special chicken soup.
I am really disappointed! I have 30 minutes for lunch and rarely go anywhere for food. I ordered online about 10 minutes prior to picking it up so its not like it sat around for an hour in the heat. I was craving Chinese food and this place is 4 minutes away. I ordered a chicken salad and a pork egg roll. The chicken was so dry and crisp I couldn't chew it, literally could not chew it! For all I know they could have breaded and fried a shoe, and to make it worse it was greasy, and not fresh grease. It was really the worst salad of any kind I have ever tasted. It looked appetizing, and the young man at the counter was very polite and smiley, but 13.00 bucks still went right in the garbage. I also ordered an egg roll, it was a very tiny dried up greasy spring roll with nothing distinguishable inside. I am surprised they are in business. Some of the other food must be edible. I chose wrong and will never go back to find out.
Sifu Wong Kitchen
This dim sum restaurant does not have circulating trolleys or trays. Orders are placed in advance, and can be added on demand. Everything we ordered came to the table at an appropriate temperature and was absolutely delicious. Staff were attentive and efficient. Between the food and service, I would definitely try them again for lunch/dinner service.
The service is great. The chef knows how to cook. However, the salt and pepper pork chops don’t have many pieces and most are fat. It is not worth the price. The ingredients and flavors are indistinguishable. For example the fried noodle and the tofu dish have the same sauces. Both contain the same squid.
New Port Dim Sum and Chinese Food
One of the best Dim Sum places in the Bay Area. Variety of flavors and options. The service is excellent. If you never had shrimp with banana dumplings, you must try it here. 10/10 🤩
Used to be excellent, but no longer. Food is lukewarm and stale. Shrimp rice noodle rolls are $9. Roasted duck appetizer $12 is mostly bones. Fried shrimp and chive dumplings are soggy.
