House of Hunan
Solid 4 stars for a buffet. We came in around 2:00 on a Monday afternoon. There were 2-3 other tables occupied when we arrived. We were greeted, sat, and our drink orders taken. I had coffee, and I do not recommend it. I'll drink pretty much any coffee put in front of me, but this was an exception. I could only get down about half the cup. Fine. Don't get the coffee. The main entrees on the buffet were hot and fresh enough, but mostly they were just really delicious. By our second trip, it was close enough to dinner that everything was piping hot and completely fresh. Several chicken dishes, beef dishes, some pork, and some seafood (shrimp, salmon, artificial crab, etc) The meat was well trimmed and tasted great. I didn't get any mystery pieces, gristle, or fat to speak of. The sushi was not great, but I wasn't expecting it to be. The dessert bar was extensive and included a variety of self select hard serve. Two adults and a child cost $45 including drinks and a 20%+ tip. Though I didn't find everything to be perfect, I've never found anyone to be perfect either so it's par for the course. Service was fine, no complaints at all. If you're in the mood for Chinese buffet, there's no reason not to try this spot out.
Superb Chinese buffet restaurant, I can't recommend it enough. Food tasted excellent, it was hot and fresh. There was a good variety of food. Service was good. Restaurant was very clean.
Ting Hau
Overall extremely please with everything. Mostly the freshness of the dish was really great. It's as though it were almost cooked from scratch. Hard to believe but they really know what they are doing. I would love to return and try more dishes.
I would say Ting Hau is an accredited Chinese food restaurant. I enjoyed the interior of the restaurant. I also liked how busy this place can be. I had talked to the waitress and she said her family has owned the business in Sonoma county for 24 years, since the 90s! They have obviously grown their community and I love to see it. I enjoyed their rice and chow mein very much! I also liked their soups. I had their wonton and hot sauce soup. Their shrimp and veggies were pretty good too. I didn’t really like the red sauce that comes with the veggie rolls. The prices matched the portions. Nice and clean bathrooms. This restaurant is located in downtown Santa Rosa right next to Russian Brewing Company and a retail store and across the street from Barnes and Noble and an optical office. There’s parking in front of the restaurant as well as behind the restaurant. You do have to pay for the meter for both places. There is a parking garage as well behind the restaurant and across the street that the first hour is free at and ¢.75 after. I would recommend to try at least once!
T's Thai Restaurant
3.5 on taste alone but bumped up to 4 because I appreciate the convenience and decent priced availability T's Thai offers. As alluded to above, I didn't think the food was rave worthy (not to say that it was bad though). I ordered my usuals - pad Thai, pad see ew, and (red) curry. All tasted pretty good and better to have in the area than not in my opinion. I only did delivery, so cannot speak for the service or the ambiance.
Great restaurant for Santa Monica I’ve eaten here 10 times over the last 10 years. Their food isn’t too expensive given that everything in Santa Monica is outrageous. It’s hot and freshly cooked. They have lunch specials for about $14 highly recommend.
Hao Wei
Very good food. The spare rib tips were delicious will definitely come back again just for those. The food wasn’t oily or greasy which was refreshing to see. Would recommend! Try the pork lo mein and bbq spare rib tips:)
I'll give this a 5 because I think it deserves at least a 4. They're out on the front lines delivering when not many Chinese places are. It got here within an hour, food is solid, cooked perfectly, huge portions, they even threw in a free 2 liter. General Tso (Dragon and Phoenix) especially, among the best I've had. Sweet with just a hint of spice. I dislike that they make you sign the receipt even when paying online (are they disinfecting the pen regularly?), but that is my only complaint. Hope to visit the restaurant someday. It's a gem hidden in plain sight, try it out next time you get a craving.
Yet Wah Restaurant
This restaurant is amazing. Great food for a great price. Such a sweet little gem in the heart of San Rafael.
Because of the holiday and as a manage of a 70 million dollar restaurant business. I cannot accept the attitude of the restaurant from foh staff today. In addition to the unprofessional attitude, there is no effective way to appease customers on the premise of commercial profits during the holidays, which is the biggest fatal flaw in the service industry. We waited for an hour and nine minutes and only got one pan-fried dumpling and four cups of Coke, which can be made in just ten minutes. Because of the holiday, I knew it would be very busy, so we waited for an hour before telling the waiter, please give me We had little food because the children were hungry. I observed that although they catered to customers according to the order of food orders, there were many complaints from customers due to the large number of takeaways, and we were really one of them. Busy restaurants should control the number of takeout orders and the number of takeout orders, and timely close and open the number of orders to ensure that the number of guests visiting the restaurant and the number of takeout orders are controlled. A business activity that really wants to make money is not suitable for us to enjoy food. The very rude attitude and words of the receptionist are very unexpected and surprising in this place. It is definitely not recommended to visit.
