Food was delicious! Beyond the great food was the excellent service. My little one was being super fussy and the manager was so accommodating and understanding trying to console him as well and trying to give suggestions but he was super sleepy and wasn't having it but we really appreciated her support. Will definitely plan better and return. The braised pork was my favorite.

Bob Ross was right about happy little accidents! My girlfriend and I were craving soup dumplings. We were at another restaurant across the street but realized it was the wrong place. It felt so cold and dark there. So we left and ended up at XLB Kitchen, a hole in the wall, and it was the best thing ever. The place is small but has an outdoor area. The vibe was very local Chinese—a Chinese grandpa was eating at a table next to me, reading his newspaper. Love it! The hostess greeted us at the door and immediately gave us menus and tea. The menu is simple yet it had all the classic Chinese dishes. We ordered XLB, shanghai style rice cakes, and string beans. ALL DELICIOUS. The XLB were HUGE! Thin skin yet SO juicy. Dare I say, better than Din Tai Fung!? The plate of rice cake was a pleasant surprise too. Very tasty, not too oily, included veggies too. The string beans were a classic, maybe a little pricey. Overall, we cleaned everything off our plates and left with full stomachs and smiles. We will be back!!

Recommended by RedNote. Very authentic and definitely one of the my best Hainan Chicken rice in Bay Area. The chicken and chicken rice are both very flavorful. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and food is prepared carefully with heart. The food is in high quality and the price is very reasonable with its large portion. I’m surprised that such a fantastic restaurant is hidden in a small plaza. Will definitely come back again.

11/23/2024, build your own soup or order chef combo. You can change chef combo for additional cost. Tom Yum soup similar to Thai, very tasty.

Great, attentive service and an expansive menu. Most of all, they make the best soup napa cabbage and pork belly (酸菜白肉)in South Bay! I really like their string beans too

Let's continue to support the local small restaurants! We 6 people went on a Thursday night at 6:30pm. The dishes I ordered were all fresh and yummy! Steamed Fish Fillet with Tofu, Sautéd Preserved Pork with French Bean, (Jumbo)Shrimps Rice in Lotus Leaves, 酸菜白肉鍋,芝麻大餅, 拔丝地瓜, 生煎包 & 小籠包 XLB were all delicious. The waitress was super nice and gave us a huge pleasant feeling to eat there. She paid very closed attention to all her clients' needs and reacted right away. Love her very much! :D

Many of my Taiwanese friends recommended it to me. This Boiled Fish with Pickled Cabbage and Chili is becoming increasingly popular. It has a scallion and tomato flavor but is not spicy. I personally don’t think it’s anything special. The fish slices are very soft and the soup is a bit sour because the pickled cabbage, good to eaten with white rice. Service is fast and friendly , but table so small and tiny . Price is very reasonable, 2 people $38 , one appetizer - deep fried chicken , 2 drink , one pot of fish .

We arrived for an early dinner at 5:45 PM with easy seating and parking available. Was seated quickly and ordered via QR code. We ordered the Large Old Pot Sauerkraut Fish ($27), which came quickly and was piping hot. Fish was tender, vegetables and other ingredients cooked well, very flavorful. They have varying levels of spice for different palates, but the single chili pepper soup was just right for us. Pretty reasonable price for two people in the Bay Area. Would recommend!

The pork knuckle has a rich, savory flavor, and the skin is well-seasoned and melt in the mouth. The accompanying pickles are a great touch—tangy and refreshing, they complement the dish well. The rice is well cooked, too. However, the meat is a bit too dry, which takes away from an otherwise enjoyable experience. A little more juiciness would elevate the dish significantly.

So wonderful to have a Yunnan restaurant in Cupertino. The menu has dishes we don't see in other Chinese restaurants, and they are yum. We asked for a couple of dishes to be made vegetarian, and they obliged. There is a line, if you come in during normal lunch and dinner hours. The mushrooms with peppers was excellent, as were the sauteed veggies. The grilled fish, Cambodian style is a must have. The mushroom fried rice was excellent as well. Service is friendly.

Such a fun place to go with family! Good: - The skewers are so fun - I got the lamb and also the fried tofu ones and liked both - The wonton soup is flavorful - The rice cake dessert was so good - Food came out so fast! It was almost like a conveyer belt and we ate faster than they came - fast service and nice staff - Potstickers had such tasty soup fillings inside - Good price and value Bad: - A bit dingy and casual - Didn't like the stinky bbq tofu Overall would come again!

Hot dry noodle (热干面) is not authentic, maybe it’s hard to find those raw noodles in the US. Skewers are amazingly good. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Good food open late! What is there not to like? Food is always good. Service is good, but can be slow when spikes occur. Venue is a bit dated but there is always plenty of parking. A better option for those late night munchies than the usual suspects Been here more than a dozen times in recent years and the food is always consistent . It is our go to late night destination

FLY in SOUP! See picture. It's shocking. What's worse is the "don't care" kind of attitude from the two waitresses. When asking for manager they said the manager was not there. What kind of restaurant has no manager on site during the lunch hour? We used to come here for food every now and then and had good impression. However, it feels quite different now and the food quality this time is really unimpressive and oily. Never come here again!

+ Authentic and delicious beef soup + Tons of choices and varieties + Great service. Very friendly. A family / community vibe. + Reasonably priced

Went for dinner in the middle of the week. There wasn't many people dining in so I got a table immediately. Ordered 3 dishes: noodles, pork belly and beef soup. The noodles was the highlight of the dinner. I would highly recommend it. It's slightly hot where you can feel the heat but not much after that. They also have the numbing oil to pair with it. The beef soup was very delicious. The beef slices in there are soft and tender. The broth itself taste very clean. The dish I didn't like was the pork belly over the mustard greens. The pork was very salty and was hard to eat. I wouldn't recommend this. I like this restaurant a lot. Would come back again.

New Chinese Korean restaurant in the former Fuki Sushi locale. Same exact decor, including the former restaurant name on the front, with only a hand-written whiteboard that shows the Chinese name. Menu doesn't show it, but the proprietor (waiter?) strongly steered us toward the noodles (homemade) and dumplings bc we spoke Chinese. Understandable: Korea is decidedly near Northern China (which features dumplings & noodles for ots cuisine). We asked for low (or no) spice since we had an elderly person with us who couldn't ingest spice. As a result, absolutely every dish lacked flavor. From the Dry Zahjian noodles to the dumplings to the Mingolian Beef. When I added the table hot pepper paste, things got a bit better. Instructive, and we may give them another shot at us and let them deploy the full flavor. The noodles themselves were really good. Somewhat chewy and authentically homemade. But the Zhejiang sauce was too dark, too plain, and the other ingredients (classically this should have been full of ground pork) were notably absent. Gow choy shrimp dumplings were a tad bland (needed more salt in the stuffing). The Pork Knuckles (appetizer) were supposed to be cold. But they served it straight from the refrigerator, so it was COLD, and anappetizing. Actually pretty well flavored (five spice), but tough. Pork knuckles need to be cooked thoroughly so they melt in your mouth, not be a challenge for your molars! Mongolian Beef really lacked flavor, and the beef was overdone (also not well cut, so it emphasized the doneness). The onions and scallions were well flavored and well cut - had the beef been more tender, this would've been good. The only dish that was well executed in full was the baby bok choy. Slightly crisp at the stem and the low-salt approach helped the fresh vegetable stand out. Disappointing. Was really hoping to have discovered yet another good new restaurant. May give them another chance after 6 - 8 months, when they've had a chance to mature - if they stay that long.

A must try for cold Zhangpi Must-try dry-cooked chicken Must drink crispy rice soup Dumplings with delicious fillings Delicious food Quiet environment Rare restaurant Worth recommending to everyone

Delicious Chinese Korean food! I liked this more than Paik’s Noodle and you can avoid the line. Their jjajangmyeon has seafood inside and the sweet and sour pork was crispy with not too much breading. The sizzling seafood soup was comforting. The prices are not super cheap but reasonable given the portion size.

Chinese-korean food is pretty rare up here in the bay, and these guys do a good job. Kanjjajang and sweet & sour pork were well made! Noodles are bouncy, jjajang sauce is nicely seasoned, and pork is crispy. Dining room could use some work, but I got it to-go and portion sizes were good. Wishing the new owners good luck!

A family style restaurant. We came here for the coconut chicken. It's worth noting that aside from pure coconut water, there are also red date and goji. If you want the authentic coconut chicken, this may not be what you want.

This was pretty good Chinese food. The portions are quite big and rather family size.
