Mr. SiuMai
The star rating doesn’t do this restaurant any justice. The food is awesome! The must try’s are the crispy taro and meat, and the pineapple custard dessert. The restaurant is clean a with easy ordering done at the computer on the counter with credit card payment.
This place is great, clean and cozy. Food is delicious. We ordered pandan soy milk, mala SiuMai, bbq pork, stick rice chicken wraps. My son loves them. Self order food on the tablets inside and self serve plates and tea, so the tips are not mandatory, you can feel free to give as much as you like.
The Skewer Bar
There are hot plates allegedly to keep the food warm but when I asked our waitress to light ours, she said they were basically just for show lol. But still obliged. The skewer seasoning is not spectacular so those get old after awhile. The tables are close together. They are very eager for quick table turnovers as there is usually a crowd. They get you the check fast but not much service otherwise. It was hard to flag them down for water or other utensils. The paper cups and decor is cute. They have the exact same dishes that look exactly the same as some other skewer places. The drink selection is good though.
The environment is great, kind of like street grill bar in China. If you want to eat something interesting, like some insects, you should be here. The taste is good, but the price is too high. One beef or lamb skewer is almost 3 dollars, we two people ordered one more fired rice in case we were not full.
