Mahalo Hawaii BBQ & Chinese Food
The Hawaiian bbq food here was very tasty 😋 the shrimp was crunchy. My grandmother loved the katsu chicken and rice and she's a picky eater. I haven't tried the Chinese food yet but I think I will next time.
Great spot for take-out and catering. I bring a tray of spam musubi to gatherings and they are always a hit. I'm a big fan of the BBQ chicken + chicken katsu plate and the loco moco as well.
Lin Garden
This is a small place hidden in the corner of a quiet strip mall but the food they served completely surprised me. The menu comprises standard Chinese dishes (mostly Cantonese), nothing too fancy. We ordered salt and pepper ribs, beef chow fun, Chinese broccoli with beef, and beef brisket stew with daikons. All of them were scrumptious, way beyond our expectations. The amount of food was huge given their very reasonable prices. Even their homemade chili sauce on the tables were delicious. We then found out the chef before moving to the US was actually a chef at a famous Cantonese restaurant in China. We highly recommends this place.
The food was just ok. Big portions but lacked any deep flavor. Also took near 25 minutes to just get my 1 combo order. The fried rice was pretty plain in flavor. I had to add more soy sauce but it didn't help much. The Mongolian beef was good, but wow was it just overloaded with onion. Lastly, the sweet and sour pork decent but it already mushy by the time I got home to eat it.
