Great Peking Restaurant
Jesus Christ, Beef lo mein with Fried crab Rangoon's and an Eggroll....the best part was the Fortune cookies. The Lo Mein was Extremely soggy and the beef was very salty and chewy. Egg roll was oily and bland. Rangoons are very very mid. What happened to this place? Use to be amazing and maybe it's just a bad Experience, but this was absolutely horrible
I've tried this restaurant twice. Each time my food is not very tasty and the fried portions are dark and overcooked. The lady who takes your order is very unfriendly and not very grateful for your business. She literally serves you saying absolutely nothing. Each time as I'm leaving, I say thank you and she has no response. She should actually be the person saying thank you for my business. I won't be going back. I expect to be greeted in a friendly manner if I'm giving you my money. I didn't want to attribute the proprietor's attitude towards me as racist, but after reading another review from a black person with the exact same experience, I'm thinking my first instinct was correct. The food was not good enough to put up with her attitude. I gave it a second chance and I won't give it another.
Dumplings N More
Giving Dumplings N More a solid 4/5 stars! The service was super friendly and attentive, which I really appreciated, and the online ordering made everything super easy. The food was good, but a little hit-or-miss—the noodles were a little bland, and the shrimp and pork dumplings were alright. That said, the Kung Pao Bao Bun was pretty tasty, with a nice balance of flavors. Overall, it’s a good spot, but the food could use a little more punch to really stand out.
I'm from San Diego but now live in Idaho. I was in town visiting with my son and he wanted to come here for lunch. It was a Sunday. Parking in Hillcrest is at a premium, and I had to park in the Rite Aid lot at $6 an hour, a rip off. The entrance and interior is nondescript. We grabbed a booth. On the tables are QR codes to scan and look at the menu, as well as order. My son ordered for us, two orders of 9 dumplings of different proteins, including shrimp, beef, and lamb. We also had a seaweed salad, which wasn't bad. I'm not a dumpling guy, but they were tasty. The people were cordial and professional, but we really didn't interact with them much. Because I'm not into this kind of food, I wouldn't come back, except if my son wanted to return the next time I'm in town. But it seemed very popular and was fairly busy, even though it was 1:30 pm by the time we arrived.
Corner Cafe
This small family ran restaurant serves good Chinese food. Not very many tables because space is limited. The front seating area was used for storage so I rated the atmosphere lower.
You might miss it in passing, but if you know what to look for, park it and order some of my consistent personal favorite Chinese food on the blockkk. I always love when I’m in town to enjoy the delicious food they make. YUMMY!!
Hundred Miles Crepes 小二煎饼
I ordered from uber eats to pick up but the truck was not there. I was told to get the food somewhere else 20min walking from what is supposed to be. And the food is also not good..I never saw a Chinese pancake with soft crust
Never ever order from them. I placed an order on ubereats. They accepted the order even though their food truck has already been gone.
