Boiling Beijing
Duck is delicious, best Peking duck I’ve had in California. Wrappers are thin (don’t accidentally eat the paper), haw jelly for sweetness, cucumber and green onion. They also have sugar for dipping the duck skin - something I’ve only seen in Beijing. Would get the beef and sizzling lamb dish again for sure. Hand cut noodles were a little oily for my taste, would probably skip next time. Ambience could be nicer but it’s what it is.
Their Peking Roast Duck is an absolute must-try—crispy, flavorful, fatty and easily the best in the Bay Area. If you’re a fan of authentic Peking duck, this spot delivers. Pro-tip: you must make a reservation if you want to try their duck. One suggestion: more sauces and condiments should be served with the large Peking duck, as they tend to run out quickly. It’s unclear whether refills are available, so it might be worth asking when you order.
Ming's
Have you guys been "eating in the car" so much more than you ever had before like I have? Finding a bathroom to wash my hands before hand is very tough! So, I go to Ming's San Bruno practically once a week, order a lunch special and "eat in the car" when it's hot out of the kitchen! Very delicious and tasty! Most items on the lunch menu are under 8 dollars!
This place serves tasty Chinese food consistently. The food is affordable and the portions are generous. I am very pleased with the level of customer service they provide. The staff does a great job at making you feel welcome, and attend to you right away. The food is arrives quickly after ordering. My favorite dish is the Kung Pao chicken. It is spicy and delicious. This place has large round tables and can accommodate groups. I come here with my coworkers. Bring cash is you are going to spend less than $20. You get tea, peanuts, and soup on the house. This might be part of their lunch special.
