Lobster Bay
Went here on a Sunday afternoon when it wasn’t too busy. We ordered a lot of food but my favorites would have to be the House lobster and the honey walnut shrimp! We didn’t have much leftovers but they packed up the leftovers for us. Service was great and the restroom was clean. Would definitely come back again!
On sat, I visited a restaurant that wasn't very crowded. However, All the dishes we ordered were delicious. The parking was convenient, and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive, checking in on us every 5-10 minutes to see if we needed anything. At the end of our meal, they gifted us two bowls of delicious white dessert. Since we ordered so many dishes, they packed up the leftovers for us to take home. It was a wonderful dining experience!
Mountain House Rowland Heights 川山甲
Opening a Szechuan restaurant without ever tasting real Szechuan food is a bold move. The garlic pork belly was a mess: the garlic was bitter, the pork itself wasn't seasoned, and somehow, they forgot the basics like soy sauce or vinegar. Instead of the bold, layered flavors you expect, it was just bland meat with a bitter aftertaste. The knife work didn’t help either — uneven cuts made the whole thing even less appealing. The fried eel was at least fried properly, but that’s about where the good news stops. It had no fragrance and was so aggressively spicy it almost turned bitter too. Instead of building flavor, the heat just steamrolled over everything else. The steamed fish with chives was the only thing that barely held together. The fish was tender enough, but the chives were completely unseasoned, tossed on like an afterthought, bringing nothing to the dish. The restaurant looks great — clean, shiny, koi fish swimming around — but honestly, I’d suggest the chef trade all the fancy decor for a one-way ticket to Chengdu.
Very tasty and real Sichuan food! Big portions, nice service, and the restaurant looks great. The food also looks beautiful, and the price is really good. I already told my Sichuan friends about this place!
Pot&Wok Asian fusion 微燻创意料理
Pot & Wok is a brand NEW restaurant just 3 days YOUNG! I like this restaurant because it offers variety of food. American Asian, Italian, and vegetarian. Let's rank from best to ok 1. Creamy ma la seafood fettuccine Taste Grade = A+ It's mild spicy. It is just right for me. However, you can even ask the chef to give you the non-spicy version or MORE spicy! The seafood and pasta both cook to PERFECTION! The shrimp is crispy and juicy, the mussel is succulent, and the calamari is tender. The fettuccine is PERFECT = soft on the outside and hard in the middle. The sauce is FANTASTIC! (I licked the plate CLEAN ;P) 2. Taro mochi pie (one lucky slice of the day) Taste Grade = A+ Taro, mochi, and crust all match PERFECTLY. Taro is not too sweet, mochi is soft and firm at the same time, and the crust is crunchy. The only thing is the size is too small. 3. Taiwanese sausage fried rice. Taste Grade = B overall Taiwanese sausage Taste Grade = B+ But too bad only 1 small portion. Sunny side up egg Taste Grade = A Crispy on the outside, soft and bright on the inside. Fried rice Taste Grade = C+ Unfortunately, the rice is too wet but the seasoning is great. 4. Elderflower cold brew Taste Grade = B+ This is an UNIQUE drink that I do not find anywhere else! I highly recommend it! However, I hope it can be more sweet and flowery so it will be an A. 5. Earl Grey milk brew Taste Grade = B- The 1st time it has too much ice, but after I tell the female staff, who is in charge of drink and dessert, she quickly adjust it and make it better. We will be back again VERY SOON and bring all my friends and family.
The rainbow chicken was extremely good. The host was really attentive. When we commend on the flavor and texture of the chicken, they told us that their chicken was directly from the farm with only female chicken that never laid eggs. Very impressive! Will definitely come again!
Chili House
Super yummy… family favorite! I love the string beans and the fried hunan spicy pork! The service might vary because we are frequent customers but they are always kind and welcoming! The interior is pretty standard, didn’t really notice anything glaring the many times i’ve been here.
We are from Orange County and my partner craves Hunanese food. We had a trip to the airport but decided to make a detour for her. It was hard to find some that are tasty and accommodating my allergies (I am allergic to nut and shellfish, which can be tricky when your partner is Chinese and need Chinese food). The waitresses here are very friendly and helpful. They talked with my partner and navigated me through my allergies well. We felt very safe. Food was absolutely delicious.
Tasty Garden
Excellent Hong Kong-style food here. Extensive menu with prompt and courteous service. As of Aug '23, they offer a yummy dessert for free! Prices are lower than similar restaurants in the area, and the portions are generous. The only drawback is the setting, which is at the back end of the shopping plaza. Not particularly picturesque, but all the other positives easily outweigh that. Great food, great price!
BEWARE! I found a screw in my fried rice and nearly chipped my tooth! Thank goodness I didnt swallow it. This is totally unacceptable.
Stew House
You can order the spicy level and enjoy the dish. Everything we had were pretty authentic. Hot tea is available but not free like most Chinese restaurants. Service was not bad. Digital menu only.
Not recommended. Being a native from Hunan, I am very disappointed by the taste, the selection and authenticity of this place. Super super salty. Do you think I am fisherman? The chef is not from Hunan by the way. Probably explained why.
