US Chinese Food
I can't say enough about the food at this place!! SO GOOD and a great variety to choose from. Highly recommend
Better then, Panda Express!!! As soon as had ny first taste it was very fresh and savory. I had Green Bean Beff, Sweat and Sour Chicken accompanied with rice and chow mein. The price is about the same as Panda Express but the taste is way better and the serving is like double..
Crouching Tiger Restaurant & Bar
Crouching Tiger in Redwood City is a good choice for a big group gathering. They have a ton of spacious tables perfect for family-style dining, and our service was fantastic. The staff was friendly, attentive, and kept our water glasses full throughout the meal. Unfortunately, the food itself was a bit of a mixed bag. The Vegetarian Manchurian house special had a decent sauce, but the Manchurian itself was a bit soggy on the inside. It felt like it had been sitting in sauce for a bit too long. The egg fried rice with BBQ pork was another letdown. The rice was undercooked, and the BBQ pork itself was bland and lacked the smoky sweetness you would expect. The hot iron plate style chicken had so much potential, but the execution fell flat. They put the chicken on top of the crispy rice, which sounds good in theory, but it meant the rice got soggy almost immediately. By the time you got to the rice, it was all mushy. Overall, Crouching Tiger is a good option for a large group with friendly service, but the food needs some work. I'd recommend sticking with simpler dishes and maybe skipping the sizzling plate options.
Nothing special about the place considering the high reviews. The food was average and there wasn't really anything that stood out. You can get this kind of food anywhere. It had a clean but basic interior with two cute tiger statues outside.
I Dumpling
It is a very cozy homemade dumpling place. Their steamed dumplings were delicious and fresh👌 Their Mapo tofu was different from what we usually have. The Tofu tastes hard; maybe they used silk tofu instead of firm tofu ☹️ So many people made an order and picked it up there, too. Indeed very popular place. The restaurant's service and atmosphere were not very good, so we did not feel comfortable.
I think i forgot to clean my front camera before taking these pics but THE FOOD AND EXPERIENCE WERE WAS 1000000/10!!! we got the beijing noodle, soup dumpling, wonton noodles, and cucumber and it was perfect for two 😗😗 the waitress was so considerate and sweet i lowkey want to be friend with her and the whole place is super homey. we were talking about arts and life and love it was a lovely afternoon
Chef Chen's
Food is good. The man standing out front taking orders is VIOLENTLY AGGRESSIVE AND RUDE!!!! He charges you extra for asking for napkins or sauce or spoons! He gets visibly mad. Dangerous and crazy
Delicious potstickers and great vibes. The owner is awesome too and has always been extremely nice.
Redwood Bistro
Love the chinese pancake (煎饼果子) here. The pumpkin cake (南瓜饼) also tastes good. Price is a little more expensive than I expected. Those dim sum are authentic though. Service can be improved but I guess the character of the owner is very straight.
The food in this restaurant is not only delicious, but the service is also excellent. It is very suitable for friends gatherings or family dinners.
Yat Sing Restaurant
I moved to the Bay Area about 2 years ago and found it difficult to find a really good restaurant like Yat Sing. After moving to Woodside about 1 year ago, my husband and I finally decided to give it a try and the food was amazing! Since then we have noticed the food quality started to decline but not enough to write a review nor stop going there but this evening I have had enough! First the price charged on 16Jan2024, was different than the price on the menu which I was told would be fixed last year. When I inquired about the price difference, the lady at the front desk simply said “that’s the price, we are printing new menus”. Since I have been a customer since last year, that seems like a long time to not have menus correctly reflect the pricing and gives me the feeling that they charge what they feel like as I have no transparency in advance and this has been an issue since last year. I understand things are changing and prices may be updated more frequently in today’s world but they need to offer digital menus instead and print only a few for customers that are not digital savvy. Anyway, I ordered take out that included a vegetarian egg rolls and shrimp noodle soup which cost $25.82. The vegetarian egg roll was greasy and uneditable! When I looked at the container to see why grease was dripping down my fingers I was surprised to see the egg roll was literally swimming in grease (see attached picture). I also ordered the shrimp noodle soup which was flavorless and had about 5 shrimp in total. My total cost for these two items was $25.82 and not worth the price at all. I will not return. Not sure if they have changed chefs but they need to go back to their original quality of food which has been lacking for months. And they need to address the price transparency issues mentioned earlier. I wish them well but won’t be back.
Pretty mid menu and not much food for $15. Debatable cleanliness (flies, sticky table), but good service, and it's a vibe: it's of traditional cheap Hong Kong/Canto decor and smell and food. But spread out in the big American space lol so to put it nicely, it's a vibe lol The wontons are also on the fatty tasting side, which is not my preference
Panda Express
Always get the side of Super Greens, appreciated how fresh it was on my visit. Personally love the Mushroom Chicken for Entrees, though I've always found the seasoning to be a little heavy handed on salt. Evens out when mixed with the stir fried veggies from the Super Greens side.
Got another panda express in redwood coty as I had some work around there. This time I tried their pot sticker along with the regular plate. It was good with the sauce they had. Place is little small as compared to other PE but yeah they give little more food than other stores
