Lotus Chinese Restaurant
Excellent food! I do have the same comment as previous tho, they need to de-shell the salt & pepper shrimp. It's a pain to eat and the batter gets thrown away with the shell. Spicy garlic chicken is good, Black Pepper Beef Mignon is delicious! Tried the Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings, very nice but one wing still a bit under cooked so they were refunded. Would definitely come back again when in the area! They close at 9pm, kitchen closes by 830pm so get in there early.
The service was excellent. We arrived earlier than noon but the server seated us without any issue. We ordered calamari, xiao long bao, steamed buns, young chow fried rice and shrimp lo mein. The calamari seasoning was delicious however it was a bit tough chewy. The xiao long bao was average and we didn’t care for the steamed buns. The fried rice and lo mein were Delicious! The fried rice was flavorful and not soggy.
China Coast
I used to go to this place all the time, 10 years later here we are and everything is a soggy disappointing mess where I could get better from frozen stuff at Costco. Never making a food choice off misplaced nostalgia again. Not close to worth its cost.
We decided to try and you New place for takeout or for Chinese. And it was just OK. I honestly don’t think I would order from there again. The Mushu chicken might have been the best thing we ordered. The Mongolian beef was Megan Lee onions and very little amount of beef. The fried rice was very bland and had no real flavors. I love it out but it was very dry. And with the food being this quality, are you sure you charge a premium. For these three things it cost $50 to pick it up
Jiayuan Dumpling House
this was our third visit and the food was consistently yummy. I really liked the egg drop soup. the dumplings, especially the beef, are so good. the cucumber salad is also delicious. it is a small eat in diner type restaurant. it seems that they do a lot of to-go orders.
Was hungry when heading to Redondo Beach and my best friend and I were craving dumplings and decided to give Dumpling House a try... We were not disappointed!!! First and foremost, the service you get from the owners and stuff is absolutely amazing! They are genuinely caring, thoughtful, and really want to make sure you have an exceptional dining experience. We ordered dumplings, braised beef noodle soup, orange chicken, and egg drop soup... Every dish was just so savory and delicious!!! We absolutely loved the food here and will come back again because the experience was just so warm, welcoming, and the food is authentically and delightfully Chinese.
Panda Express
I walk in at 8:40 with nothing but empty food trays with a little sign that says “if you don’t see your food choice just ask and we will kindly make it” and the first thing I’m greeted by is “all you see is what we have right now”. I get you close in 20 minutes but that’s kind of crazy to say at a big place like Panda Express. So I ask if I can get orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp, the lady then walks over to a old man cooking and says to cook the items, definitely the old man is pissed he’s being asked to cook food during working hours because he stood there in silence looking at her then slowly turned to go cook while throwing bowls and trays down. I always get the cream cheese ragoons but I felt bad even asking for him to cook those too. I went ahead and paid and patiently waited, was kind during the whole process and even wised everyone a good night on the way out. Upon going home and taking the first bite of chicken it was very raw! (See photo) Seriously how is this even okay? Management is obviously not watching the staff until close and can’t follow simple heath code. Me and my girlfriend could have been very sick from this, not to mention he was not wearing gloves so I’m sure the raw chicken was not handled well at all. I shouldn’t have to feel like a burden for ordering for and especially afraid to eat at this location again. Please have something done!
I love Panda Express as much as the next guy, but as I’m absolutely destroying my plate, I notice something on my noods. I notice that there’s some kind of paper material stuck to it. At first, i thought maybe I had dropped some straw wrapper in my food, & thought nothing of it. But as I continued eating, I noticed another noodle with paper on it. Come to find out, the packaging of the meal was peeling due to the heat of the meal. The chow mein had come out fresh, so I know it was pretty warm. I hope someone at panda that can make a difference WILL because I don’t feel particularly good when I’m eating paper at one of my favorite take out restaurants ): (Sorry if pictures do it justice. Peep nood & packaging)
Mini Chinese Food
Ordered for option 18 which was chicken wings and it’s served with noodles and rice but the meal is worth the money price in terms of quality and quantity. I hope to finish tasting all the foods on the menu option before I move to another city!
Really good quality Inexpensive Chinese food on redondo pier. Great value for money and I thoroughly enjoyed my teriyaki chicken and BBQ pork combo
