We found this place on the In-Kind app. I highly recommend you wait for a coupon or grab some gift cards from Costco to help reduce the cost. You'll want to order at least 2 dishes per person with the intent to share, as well as some tea. There were about two portions per plate. This was my second Michelin level restaurant and it didn't fail to deliver. Every dish had multiple layers of flavor that went well together. We splurged a bit on the duck which was very good, but by far the best dish was the Brown Butter Fried Chicken. Truly out of this world savory. They have a rotating menu every 2 weeks targeting local and seasonal ingredients so we'll definitely be back to try other seasons. The service was very friendly and timely to our eating pace. The atmosphere is definitely higher end but with a livelier vibe, you can get away with business casual for sure. Definitely worth checking out for an important event or if you want to try some fancy Chinese food, there's not many other spots here in SD that offer this.

My friend and I were looking for Chinese food so I searched Chinese food near me. This was one of the top results on google so we figured we’d give it a try. Little did we know it was a fine dining Chinese “inspired” restaurant… it’s kind of our fault for not looking more into this place but I still expected the food the be good since the reviews were decent. Oh how wrong we were. The only thing that kept us chugging was the $12 pot of tea to cleanse our taste buds after every bite we had to take. We ordered 4 items including the tea which was: The shrimp robuchan $19, brown butter fried chicken $23, and the lamb leg yi mein $35. In total plus tax we paid $96.38. Which is 48.19 between 2 people… I wouldnt of have been bothered by the price if the food tasted good but on top of that the portions were tiny. For the shrimp we got 2 pcs, the chicken 2 or 3 pcs. Maybe the yi mein was okay to share but it was definitely the worst tasting dish out of the 3. And we were told it was supposed to be shared items… One more thing you’d never do expect this place to be a fine dining restaurant from the outside and due to its location. We thought it was going to be some cheap buffet style takeout from the looks of it on the outside but instead inside it was a dimly lit restaurant with a crazy amount of incense and floral aromas punching u in the face. I know Im bashing this place but overall I’m glad I’ve got to share experience this place it was a unique and funny experience I’ll remember for a long time.

We enjoyed our two curry dishes and the papaya salad. For us, the papaya salad was too fish sauce strong, it was good, but overpowering. We enjoyed the beef curry and our tofu kabocha curry. Perfectly flavored, a 5/10 is genuinely a five, and the portions were great with just enough to bring home leftovers. As a group we enjoyed the ribs appetizer, but the beef was tough and overcooked. Flavorwise the ribs were great, but chewy.

I absolutely love this place. I cannot believe it took me so long to check it out. Service and food was excellent

Very good! Delicious with ample portions. I ordered the beef with spaghetti noodle - so good! Their to-go boxes are rigid plastic and are the best kind. The sauce they add is too sweet; I don’t care for all the sugar they add. Restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.

I’ve eaten here four times and every single dish has been exceptional. Food and beverages are full of flavor and always fresh. Prompt and friendly service, cozy atmosphere. Great prices for the high quality as well.

Love this place! I have been here several times, reasonable price, nice service and great food. Will definitely come back again!

We come at least once a month. It’s a must! Wait times are always reasonable and I love that we can add our party to the waitlist ahead of time. 10/10 best customers service from New Years and Jocelyn always have a smile at every moment! The place is always clean and the entire staff is very attentive! This is why we always choose Sonu over any other Korean BBQ!

Our first time at this place! The ladies that work here were so helpful when it came to placing our order!very easy system! You can order on your phone or they can take your order. We went during happy hour. We ordered the Lamb hot pot with a side of beef and pork, 4 egg rolls and dumplings with an order of their seasoned fries! When we were running low on broth, we were given a refill! The staff were very kind and attentive! It was delicious!! I can’t wait to come back again.

We visited Alta Vista Botanical Garden and stopped by Tasty Pot Oceanside for lunch. We had the kimchi dumpling hot soup which came with a free green ice tea as a lunch special. I had the beef sizzling pot. The torpedo shrimp were a bonus for a review but they were actually delicious, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Overall food was filling and flavorful! The service was excellent! Since this was our first time here, the server guided us through the different sauces and how to combine then for the optimal flavor. She was also friendly and attentive.

The sushi here is tasty and fresh, and the location is really nice—close to the ocean. Only downside is you gotta stand in line to order, and they don’t give you a menu ahead of time. So you end up deciding what you want right at the register, which slows things down. Other than that, it’s great. Sushi comes out fast, and the staff is super friendly. Definitely recommend!

The food was excellent! We tried several dishes, including karaage, sushi, katsu curry, and a couple of others I can’t quite remember, and we were happy with everything. It was a pleasant surprise to see katsu curry on the menu. The service was quick, and the staff was very friendly. This is clearly a popular spot—though we arrived before the dinner rush, the seats filled up fast.

You had to be there! Great experience with family, our server was there but not over bearing. The food was delicious, and I mean wow! I forget the name but the bright sushi was light as a feather and the spicy orange chicken (my plate) was 🔥🔥. Enjoyed the vegan options. The drinks also left us stunned.

Solid sushi spot. DJ was playing (Friday night). Busy but not overwhelming. Prices reasonable. Portions were large for sashimi compared to other places. Solid spot for a date. Would not recommend bringing small children. Overall 8/10 experience.

Nice little place. HAD the soring rolls, duck curry and drunken noodle. I prefer duck at medium doneness. Other than that everything was great, and they have a.c. Service was nice, atmosphere is inviting. Would be back if in the area again.

Stopped in for lunch and it was absolutely delicious! The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive, making the experience even better. It’s a cute little spot with a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Good pho! I had the large chicken which had huge amounts of chicken white meat. Broth was a bit too sweet for me. Overall I’d still give it 5

Oh my!! Best Pho spot by far!! I got some lunch door dashed to my job and it was fantastic! Everything was packaged with care! Staff really pays attention to detail when it comes to including spicy oil, utensils, and napkins! Thank you! :))

A nice little mini market with Asian spices and food. They also have some good Filipino food. Hot ready for order. Not too many Asian stores nearby but this is definitely one of the spots for some variety.

I can't believe I've lived in Oceanside for seven years now and have never known that we had a market that served such delicious homemade and authentic Filipino foods until now. Seriously. We recently had some pancit from a Pinoy-owned food truck at Belching Beaver's Oceanside tap room and I forgot how good it was, and I've been wanting some more ever since. We just got some lumpia from Costco and I needed to find some pancit to serve with it and here I found Mission Asian Market. They had a variety of various foods, hot and ready and we got a few to try: ● Pancit ● Sisig ● Chicken Adobo ● Lechon (with sauce) I ordered a full to-go container of the pancit (so, not the half-rice, half-pancit. I did all pancit as the sides and main) and they gave me a ton of food. This will feed a family of four easily, with leftovers. Note this pancit is loaded with veggies and meat. It's a full meal by itself. Everything tasted so good. The sisig was full of flavor and a tiny bit spicy, but we loved it. The chicken adobo with onions was so good, but the lechon blew us away. We actually waited while they prepared some fresh lechon for us and by itself, it's great - kinda like fried pork belly. But with the sauce it's just over the top! Altogether, the total was $48.17 - which is not outrageous for the amount of food we got. And they gave us more lechon than could fit into the container cup, so instead of a lid they used aluminum foil (thank you!). I really wanted to try the Kare-Kare, but apparently they only make that on the weekends. I also saw some pics of garlic rice, but they didn't have any of that either. From what I understand, they open very early and often sell out of food. They also close early at 5pm (I believe) so you gotta get there early if you want to try any of this tasty food.

Came in here randomly and was surprised with how fun the theme of the restaurant is! As the name indicates, the theme is Mars and everything space. You can find toys and huge model statues of Star Wars, Mars Attacks, and other space movie decorations. The man at the front counter was super friendly and answered all our questions about pricing and flavors of different pizzas. We ended up buying "The Killer" in a medium, which is basically a supreme pizza; it was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend. It was a bit pricey, so you might as well eat inside to get the price of what you're paying. I will be back!

Fun atmosphere for fans of all kinds of sci-fi and popular media! The pizza was solid, too. Meat lovers was my favorite of the three we ordered, but they were all destroyed by the end of the night.

Was a good crab bag with pork sausage, potatoes and corn. I got the Cajun seasoning and was supposed to be medium but it was hot. I like spicy but I wanted to taste the crab but my lips were burning. This did not take away from the good taste of the food. It was very light on business and the staff was on point with everything. Good place to try.

My first seafood boil in Cali. and I recommend this place 👌🏼. The Crab was good 👍🏼 easy crack and pull... had the Pub style sauce that boy got a Lil kick to it even tho the spice lvl was mild still good. Everything came out great. The only takeaway was the sausage was only 4 little slices even though it just says "4" maybe better clarification. But still good experience. The price is pretty steep, so it is only an every so often kind of place unless your wallet can afford lol. Enjoy 🤙🏽
