Sette Luna
A great place for summer Al fresco dining. Small, but interesting menu, great cocktails (I recommend the Peach Old-Fashioned), pasta, and salads. Strongly recommend the Tuscan Bean Soup!! Pricing is appropriate for the quality/atmosphere. Service was courteous, if not enthusiastic (at least the night we were there), but there was no rush. Great if you want to linger and talk. Sette Luna is just a block away from the center of town, which allows patrons to eat, then walk off dinner amongst historic tree-lined streets regarding beaux-arts buildings, and a historic monument in the town square.
This was our first time here. A friend recommended it after he said he has the best pizza ever at the garlic festival. We requested the same garlic pizza they had at the festival but the waiter said they can’t make that. So we tried the Josh’s Bianca with the meat on the side and the Florentine pizza. The Josh’s pizza we all liked the best. So good! There was nothing special about the florentine pizza. It was boring. The risotto balls were sooo good!!! Probably my favorite thing there. Our server was awesome! Forgot his name. But great experience! Will definitely be back to try more!
Mr Fish & Noodle House
The food is good, but the service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. I felt disrespected by the server in this place; he barely spoke to me, only asking if I needed my change. I feel sorry for the kitchen staff and the owner because their hard work is overshadowed by this poor service. Even the deliverers of the food seem to do not like the service . I will never come back!!
The popcorn chicken was great. I would recommend to try it! But the fish slices were coated with too many corn starch or flour.
Sunflower Garden
The food was mid, nothing to rave about but it wasn't bad. I was surprised that if you order a plate of sweat & sour chicken or any other that it doesn't come with any side of rice, broccoli or anything. Just the protein. I ended up ordering the pork chowmein which was ok. The food was brought to us very quick though and hot which was impressive.
Our new go to downtown. Excellent food. Always tasty and always fresh. Now they have dim sum and we tried it tonight. Delicious!! Friendly staff and consistently good. Love this place.
Bun's
My family and I are from Sichuan, and my family says this is the best Sichuan restaurant in the area (even my mom has made this claim, who is VERY hard to please…). I finally got the chance to go, and truly the food was top tier. The flavors and spices are truly authentic. Portions are amazing. The staff is so kind. The restaurant itself is quite small and only seats a few tables but that made for even more of a homier vibe. If you are looking for truly authentic Sichuan cuisine, definitely come to this place!! It’s so worth it, and their food will not disappoint.
This unassuming spot may not look like much, but the food is truly exceptional. As someone from Chengdu, I can confidently say their Maocai is authentic and tastes just like the dishes back home. If you’re craving genuine flavors, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!
Szechuan Chinese Restaurant
Authentic northern Chinese cuisine! I live 20 miles away but it's totally worth the drive up here. This place may look like a hole in the wall but it's actually a gem. Dining-in doesn't really give you a nicer experience compare to takeout, as the food are all in togo containers. Service is limited, and you will have to pay upfront right after ordering from the counter. But this doesn't impact the joy of eating the authentic food! P.S. please don't order from the American Chinese menu... it's like you going into a lobster store and only ordered some fries...
Can’t believe I found the best Szechuan cuisine in greater Boston area here. Ordered takeout twice, all the dishes are really good and authentic. Would recommend green pepper chicken藤椒三黄鸡,泡椒活牛蛙,辣拌黄瓜。Saved up the soup of green pepper chicken, and used it to cook dumplings next day. Brings me right back home 😭😭
Hua Xia
I like to buy in small places cuz they have a unique flavor! They have boxes every where in the dining room area! Price is normal food is terrible idk if they give me wings and plantains from last night I went for lunch at 12:30 it was over cook like it was cooked 2 times
Only cash + they calculate and give you change wrong Crab Rangoon was in to much oil and cheese taste rancid Brown fried rice not impressed as well
Flaming Grill & Supreme Buffet
We had the best experience in this restaurant. The manager was so sweet and smart. She gave us a feeling like dining at home. My son observed her dealing with some difficult customers in a very nice and smart way. Every staff was so dedicated in making you feel comfortable. Will come back again for sure!!
It's a Chinese buffet. It's exactly what you imagine. $20/person
Ming Choo
Not good, the chicken in the chicken fried rice looks and tastes like erasers ✏️ I don’t recommend. Also very dry.
Friendly service and the food was fresh and priced accordingly. It wasn’t greasy. The wontons in the soup were a little hard. The beef a little salty, but for a place in the Ironbound, it’s ok. Chinese food seems to be much better in the nicer neighborhoods…. But if I’m craving it, and don’t want to drive, this will do.
