Genghis Cohen
I had the most incredible time here. let me start by saying I love the decor of this place and how it's set up. It reminds me of old school restaurants and it just colorful and fun. Huge shout out to the staff here and JP. The service was outstanding. Everyone who touched the table elevated the experience. But the food??? Oh my gosh. It was so good. Everything we had was delicious. My favorite items were the Szechuan Queen Chicken Wings, shrimp toast, and the Pineapple Fried rice with pork. Seriously cannot wait to come back here. Thank you so much.
Best Chinese food ever in Los Angeles. Nice area! Nice food. Tried the ginger chicken salad was decent. The sauce was amazing and the restaurant is so nice. Must try this spot out. They even have live music.
Noodle Art
SO good! I’m half Taiwanese and often crave a bowl of beef noodle soup. Noodle art delivers! They make their own noodles, you can watch in the back how there’s a chef pulling noodles into perfection. Lots of ways to eat noodles here - soup based, with meat sauce, and even cold! I love their display of options, it reminds me of going to Japan and seeing their menu on display. They have delicious bokchoy, and tomato egg - a dish that my mom used to make growing up. Ordering ‘for here’ means you can eat from their wide decorative bowls, they’re super pretty. You can also choose your own level of spice from 0-5! They serve authentic jasmine tea and honey teas in bottles, along with coke, sprite, and San Pellegrino. My big bowl of beef noodle soup came out to less than $16 after tax, and I was 10000% satisfied. Will definitely be coming back to try other options!
Fresh handmade noodles without waiting long. Plus you get to choose your spice level. Majority of bowls are only $13.99 and really filling. This place is my go to now whenever I’m at the farmers market.
101 Asian Kitchen
The California roll was so good and fresh and the Thai tea is perfect love it!
I am not crazy about the meat here. I’ve tried all varieties of their meat products here, and some meat is very hard to chew and bite through. Some meat doesn’t seem all the way fully cooked. (Feel that out for yourself). I personally do not like that they don’t cook their meat all the way through. The meat can taste too “gummy” to chew, or toOo “hard” to bite through. I do like some of their side orders… like the dumplings, the fried rice, the macaroni. Their sushi doesn’t always taste good to me. I also do not like their service sometimes. I used to come there more regularly mainly for their fried rice, and one of the Asian guys who work there, and the woman (his girlfriend) or something… they started talking in “Chinese” or whatever… and would make certain facial expressions and gestures towards me, that made me feel like they were annoyed by seeing me be a regular customer, financially supporting their business. Some people really do NOT belong in business. If I have frequent regularly customers who show up to my business and support me?? I’m gonna have the biggest smile on my face… cuz they are PUTTING MONEY IN MY POCKET AND HELPING MY BUSINESS TO CONTINUE TO OPERATE. These people wanna give you “bad attitude” sometimes, if you chose to be a “regular.” They do NOT always appreciate repeat customers. So I stopped going regularly. Plus the issue I have with them not cooking their meat all the way through properly. The only reason they continue to seem to get “business” is cuz they are opened really late at night… when other food spots have closed. They do tend to give BIG servings of food (which is good). Much bigger servings than say…Panda Express. Which is good. However, beware of the meat. They just always seem to under cook, or overcook their meat. So beware of that. You also can’t relax and dine in there, because they offer no real generous seating… they have “supplies” stacked up everywhere against the walls where there is supposed to be seating with a dine-in option… but they don’t offer it. The space is too tight. I also think they are waaay toOoo overpriced. It’s ridiculous.
China Mountain III
Husband picked up our food but he said service was great. There is no inside seating. The food was amazing! We had wonton soup, veggie lo mein, pork fried rice, pot stickers, and split an egg roll. I’ve been craving wonton soup. We got some yesterday from a different restaurant. It was awful. This more than made up for it. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. We will definitely get take away again. Highly recommend. (Sorry for the low quality photos. The lighting isn’t great right now.)
Move over Everest! This China Mountain stands above them all! Best take out I’ve ever had. They know what they doing with that Sesame Chicken! This wok is worth the walk. Unreal food coming from the chefs back there
