China Wok Express
Found this Chinese food place, it’s really good, excellent customer service at an affordable price. Small but awesome!
The food is not organic, and, for some reason, I had to ask them to clean off their cutting board they use for EVERY prep after she had just cut up some beef, and then, pork for someone else. She looked at me like I was a problem for not wanting pork. So customer service is a 2. My last time here. The service is not good, and they cut the food into huge pieces but still one piece and, more importantly, mix up their food up for people who don't eat certain meats. The food is bland. The spot next to Subway on Willow and Cherry is the measuring stick for this kind of food. Go there first!
New China Express
The orange chicken was so crunchy. I loved it and the noodles tasted very good and the rice had a lot of flavor. I didn’t understand what the Chinese lady said but all I said is I wanted half-and-half and she gave me half chow mein half rice and then I told her what else I wanted which was the orange chicken and she understood so I gave her an A plus
Nasty meat quality. Very low quality. Cannot eat too gross. Noodles and rice are fine. Egg roll not good either. Couldn't eat even 1 piece of that whole pile of whatever meat that is. Supposed to be chicken.
Shangri-la
Our beef and broccoli was still half raw when we got it home after a pick up order. We tried it, the beef’s texture was horrid, so we cook it farther and we spit it out when we tried it again. We aren’t picky people, but seemed like we were risking food poisoning. The sushi and wonton soup were tasty, however. We were treated as an inconvenience when we went to pick up our order. This is my first negative review on a restaurant, but it was not a good experience. Will never return.
Husband & I had lunch. Our egg rolls were dark brown/overcooked but still good on the inside. They were the only good part of the meal. My general tso chicken was bad. Came out looking nice, but meat was almost non-existent. They were these tiny slivers battered & fried. Most of the pieces were only batter. Fried rice tasted left over from day before. Spent a lot of time in the bathroom once I got home.
Oriental Cafe
This is an old run down outdated place which depending on the person can be a good thing or not. I think the loyal customers who have been coming for years are what keeps this place going. First off it's cash only we missed the small sign on our way in and had to go to an ATM mid meal to get cash out . The chow mein is mostly bean sprouts and onion. I can tell that the customers there were the usuals because they all seemed to know each other. The fried rice and BBQ pork were ok the sauces on the chicken were bland. the place didn't seem very clean, the upholstery on the chairs were ripped. The service was decent. They do have a small parking lot or street parking
Delicious food and wonderful service. Gets busy on the weekends, but it's worth the wait.
Lee's Express
Super quick service. Everything looked amazing. What people are saying about the orange chicken is true. It is very, very crispy. If you don't like it with crisp fried batter, you may not enjoy it, but it is still good. Orange sauce is perfectly sweet and tangy. Fried rice, cream cheese wonton, spring roll were all good as well. I would try a different chicken dish next time.
A good place to stop for a quick lunch after the children's museum.
Wings N More
I have been searching for a good Springfield cashew chicken for years since fortune inn closed down in Rolla. This place makes it almost exactly fortune inn made it. Very good,
Resident from NWA and I can say idm if I drive to Joplin for some great Chinese food! I have a lunch truck in Bella vista and besides that I would go to panda just because there aren’t any great satisfaction Chinese food 👎 the food of any kind from kids menu to regular entrees are delish I cannot wait to go back and try other kind of plates. The wings uff crispy and enough sauce. The tso chicken man man that was my all time favorite it was soooo good and crispy first of all there was some breast in there so it was a little of both with the fresh vegetables and the sauce uff bomb. The service was gentle and patient. My three year old ate her kids lo mein. Yes the egg rolls come by twos and they are not huge nor long but they are stuffed. From the chicken fried rice to the pork I prefer the chicken fried rice. Clean and petite comfortable place.
Chong's Chop Suey
I usually don't bust out a review for any place I've only been to one time. But I've only been here one time. And I will be going back many more times. The Saint Paul sandwich was perfect. The egg rolls are some of the best I've had. If you're worried about the old run down building not being up to your standards then get over yourself. There is great food here. And the person who took my order made it a great experience. I can't wait to try some other food from Chong's. Call ahead if you are picking up. There is no dining room here
We kind of randomly were in this area and this restaurant came up on Google. It gives off a genuine local vibe. (I love supporting places that aren't chains!) The food was ready in a bout 15 minutes. Since they only do take out we went to Haskell Park to eat (great park by the way!) Food is good (it's heavy on the sauce, FYI) but it's SUPER hot. Be careful not to burn your mouth! We got the beef with noodles (kind of a soup, tasty), the beef broccoli (fairly saucy, comes with fried rice), and the cashew chicken (extremely saucy, comes with fried rice.) The portions are hearty (we ordered larges, which is two meals worth.) Overall, a fun experience.
Ho Ho Cherry House
Food was flavorless ! Ordered the chicken and garlic sauce, lunch special. Horrendous, way too watery ! Nice atmosphere but the was deplorable. Can we get some authentic food please? The fried rice wasn’t not fried! It was rushed and it tasted like it. Focus on quality instead of money!💵 T
This place is consistently very good!! I usually get takeout but the inside of the restaurant is very clean. Host is incredibly sweet and personable. Always my go to for Chinese food.
ASIAN KITCHEN
Had chicken fried rice delivered. Dry and inedible. Smelled like old, burnt grease. No soy sauce, no sweet and sour. Overall not worth feeding to the dog. Delivery guy was great.
Order on uber eats... the lo mein texture tasted good, but it was a little too salty. The general tso was not flavorful enough and had a different taste compared to others I've had in the past. The food was edible, but no silverware or sauces when receiving the order.
