Very bummed out with everything! Disgusting and a waste of $80 bucks. I was actually afraid keep eating it because it looks questionable in quality. I sadly had to throw it out. I was really craving Chop Suey and Egg Foo Young for New Year’s because it reminded me of my dad. We used to eat Chinese food together, and I thought it would be a nice way to honor those memories. Unfortunately, this experience was a huge letdown. The Egg Foo Young was more like scrambled eggs and a watery soy sauce and the Chop Suey barely had any vegetables—and the ones that were there were old, soggy, and brown. The brown sauce tasted like nothing more than soy sauce and salt, which wasn’t appetizing at all. To make matters worse, I found hard pieces in the food that almost broke my tooth. The spring rolls arrived soggy but were okay after baking them to crisp them up. Overall, the quality didn’t match the $80 I spent. It left me wondering if this restaurant is going out of business because the care and quality just weren’t there. Next time, I’ll stick with China Moon or Asian Kitchen in Laguna Niguel, they’ve never disappointed me. This is the Response from the owner 38 minutes ago lol We didn’t sell any house special egg foo Young today ( New Year Eve). My DoorDash says I paid for chicken egg foo young. You should be ashamed of yourself for lying. See the receipt and all the money I side on your disgusting food and customer service.
Unexpected great food, very unassuming place. They don’t serve alcohol, but we got a beer at Ambers to go and enjoyed it with our meal. They didn’t have music playing but since we were the only ones there at the time, we played our own. Hot and sour soup and Szechuan Beef were 👌👌👌
