Great atmosphere when you enter inside. It has a charming warm feel to it. Nice lighting and design to the place. The server was very polite and attentive. We ordered the braised pork and shrimp fried rice. They are known for their house special dumplings.

Kirin Noodle House is a fantastic spot for anyone craving some comforting, delicious Chinese food. Their braised beef noodle is truly the star of the menu—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked every time. The broth it comes in is rich and savory, making it hard to stop eating even when you’re full. The noodles have a great texture and soak up all the flavor of the beef and broth, which is just amazing. Overall, it’s a cozy, no-frills place with friendly service and food that hits the spot.

Today, I visited Yun Chuan Yuan, an affordable Sichuan restaurant in Irvine, and I was absolutely amazed! Every dish was so delicious that I can't help but rave about each one. Here's my detailed review! 👇 🌟 Twice-Cooked Pork: The perfectly balanced fatty and lean pork is stir-fried to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a rich savory sauce! The green peppers and garlic sprouts are also super flavorful. One bite and I was in heaven! 🌟 Shredded Pork with Sweet Bean Sauce: The pork strips are tender, and the sauce is rich and flavorful, with the perfect balance of salty and sweet! Wrapped in thin pancakes with scallions and cucumber strips, the layers of texture are amazing, and it's not greasy at all. Absolutely fantastic! 🌟 Cold Skin Noodles: The noodles are chewy and smooth, with a spicy oil that's fragrant but not overwhelming, and the vinegar is just the right amount of tangy! Paired with cucumber strips and bean sprouts, it's refreshing and appetizing, perfect for summer! 🌟 Dry-Fried Green Beans: The green beans are slightly crispy on the outside but still tender inside, with a rich, dry aroma! The minced meat and chili peppers add a wonderful fragrance, making it super satisfying with rice! Overall, Yun Chuan Yuan is a highly cost-effective Sichuan restaurant, and every dish kept me coming back for more! Highly recommended for all Sichuan cuisine lovers! 💯 #IrvineFood #SichuanCuisine #YunChuanYuan #FoodieAdventures #AffordableEats

The service was really nice. The servers are amazing! The atmosphere was also really nice too. So, I didn't know that spicy city was a chain. But, the one in SD is a lot better. We ordered cold dish of pork neck, gizzard and black fungus. Pork neck and gizzard could use more chili and flavor. Black fungus was great! Then we got fried intestine. I didn't realize that they had batter. I never had it fried with batter before so this feels much greasy and heavier. The last thing was orange chicken. That was fine. It's just orange chicken.

This restaurant has a good variety of authentic Chinese dishes. We got the braised pork ($14.95), lamb casserole ($14.95), and eggplant ($9.95). For the price, I have to say I was impressed! The braised pork had mostly really tender pieces and great flavor. The lamb casserole had a strong lamb flavor and delicious noodles in it! I thought the lamb pieces were kind of tough. The eggplant was delicious. We asked for less spicy, and it was perfect.

Quick service. Food came almost immediately after the server took the order. All the dishes were very delicious!

The only Chinese-style hamburger joint (as of the date of this review) in Irvine but luckily it happens to be an incredibly delicious one that’s authentic to the ones coming from Xi’an, China. Highly recommend the braised pork and black pepper beef hamburgers as the recommended selections.

Aka. Crispy Rougamo A hidden gem. We ordered two crispy lamb buns, garlic string beans, and lamb soup, and all were filling and worth the value. The lamb bun is the size of a burger, and super flaky and fresh. The lamb soup came with a side of fresh cilantro and spicy paste, add to taste - gave an extra depth to the soup for sure. The lamb broth was soothing to my soul. Definitely will be back to try other dishes here.

Ordered takeout via Fantuan, and overall, it was quite disappointing. 1. Stir-fried pork – The meat was tough and dry, resembling pre-made food rather than freshly cooked stir-fry. 2. Braised beef and beef offal – The flavor was mediocre, nothing special about the broth, and the ingredients didn’t seem particularly high-quality. 3. Century egg with mashed eggplant – The portion was shockingly small, with just one century egg and a tiny amount of eggplant and green pepper. Overall, the dishes were overly greasy, the prices were unreasonably high for the portion sizes, and the quality did not justify the cost. Would not recommend.

We visited this place for a weekday lunch and we were disappointed. First of all the price for each dish is pretty expensive: about 20 dollars for a dish. The amount does not match the price. we thought the rice would be free or an extra couple dollars but nope, the only way to get rice is ordering that rice dish with few corn in which is 3.5 and it was so little amount of rice. The food was pretty authentic, well with a good amount of oil and salt. The best part is the beef in the rice noodles. Two of us ordered 3 dishes plus rice and it was 60+ before tips and we were not even full. We poured our own water, napkins and chopsticks are already in the table drawer. The waiters served our food from five steps away and cleaned our table in a hurry right after we finished. I was hoping it could be an authentic sit down Chinese restaurant but it seems like just another fast food style but expensive place.

It was my first time trying malatang, so I didn't know and put too much stuff in my pot/bowl (whatever you called it), which costs ~$36, and I can barely finish like 70% of it! The flavor is not bad, and of course, it was super cheap, considering the amount of food that was in my bowl. They have lots of unique fish cakes that you can try if you are a fish cake fan plus tons of different things so be careful and don't put too much stuff in your bowl like me because as you first time trying it you won't know how much you can eat and the fact that you can only do it once (you can't go back and add more food into your bowl after you check out) will make you unsure whether it's enough. Anyway, I would recommend this place if you haven't tried malatang before

Zhang Liang Mala Tang offers a wide variety of food items. My wife prefers their Tomato Soup over YinTang’s Spicy Hot Pot, while I enjoy the Bone Soup at YinTang. However, the minimum order of 0.8 pounds isn't ideal for families with kids, as it increases dining costs. When kids are feeling under the weather, they can’t eat more than 0.8 pounds, and Yin Tang has no such limitation. We've visited Zhang Liang twice. Some frozen items didn't cook well inside, unlike at YinTang. At Zhang Liang, you pay upfront with a mandatory 15% tip, while YinTang lets you pay with an optional tip after dining. For families, it’s better to avoid buying a large bowl to share, especially when family members are feeling under the weather, as kids like having their own bowls. Overall, Zhang Liang offers great variety, but be cautious of the undercooked frozen items and the mandatory tip. Additionally, no sign indicates the 0.8-pound minimum and it’s not kid-friendly.

The good part of this place is they have many options for breakfast and lunch, Chinese savory crepes are pretty good and authentic. You usually don't need to wait too long. But the service was just so so it seems like they are too busy to explain anything to you. If you understand the menu well and are familiar with the food then it is ok, otherwise it could be challenging. We ordered some soup, buns, a spicy dish, and beef noodles. Most of the things are alright, I wish the filling for the bun could be a little more. The spicy dish did not taste that good, feel like it has some spicy and msg that covers all other flavors. No one checked on us or helped while eating, we had to just get up ourselves to get water, spoon, take out boxes and bags.

No body will seat u unless u grab a waittress. Waiting for my fried dough forever till I have to ask for it. It literally sat in that food warmer but they just forgot to bring it to me.hot soy milk is actually room temperature. At least two servers serving 11 ppl with zero efficiency. So funny.

You come here for the amazing flavors, not the atmosphere. Basically, everything we ordered, was very tasty. All the food seemed to be prepared with expertise and care. Place seemed to be constantly crowded with lines out the door. Dim Sum here, I can honestly say, is better than most places.

Dim sum are good. Shrimp options are good. Turnip cake was good too. There’s more of pork and beef options. Less of chicken option except the chicken legs. I like the way the dim sums are served in carts. I am very new to this restaurant. More of chicken option would also be great in dim sums. It’s too crowded. I had been at the peak time I guess. Super long line, but it gets cleared quick.

This restaurant serves traditional Hunanese cuisine from Hunan, with a relatively simple menu. The flavors are standard and unremarkable. I suspect that the stir-fried pork might be made from leftovers, as the peppers in it were mushy, not as if they were freshly cooked. The dishes are priced between $10 and $20, which isn’t expensive, but the portion sizes are quite small. There is only one waiter in the entire restaurant, leading to very slow and unsatisfactory service.

Tasty dishes! At some point though the smoke from the kitchen was seeping into the dining area. But overall would come back

Good food, there. Although most of the food is a traditional spicy dish. Slight problem, Google made a mistake and this place is called Long's Kitchen.

Can't find it and it's not there.
