P.F. Chang's
P.F. Chang's in Palm Springs offers a fantastic dining experience. The ambiance is one of the standout features, with a modern yet inviting decor that creates a comfortable and vibrant atmosphere. The overall look of the restaurant is stylish, with attention to detail in the lighting and layout, making it perfect for both casual outings and special occasions. The food is equally impressive—delicious, flavorful, and surprisingly affordable for the quality offered. The menu features a variety of options, from classic favorites like their famous lettuce wraps to innovative dishes that showcase fresh ingredients and bold flavors. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring great value for your money. Whether you're a fan of Asian cuisine or just looking for a solid dining experience in Palm Springs, P.F. Chang's delivers both in taste and atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone in the area!
Overall we liked our dinner and would go back but the service needs a bit of improvement. Staff were super friendly including our waiter but just a bit on the slower side. Ran out of water twice and took a while for our waiter to notice. We needed another pair of chop sticks and had to get myself since he was nowhere to be seen. We had the crispy green beans as a starter which was good but the best was the cheese sauce that comes with it. The green beans didn't have too much flavour. For our mains we did Chang's spicy chicken and the Kung Pao beef. The Chang's chicken was actually more sweet than spicy but delicious nonetheless. The Kung Pao beef was also super good and actually had a bit of a kick to it.
City Wok
We LOVE City Wok. We do drop off/pickup in this mall for our grandchildren who live in Irvine we live in San Luis Obispo, so it's about halfway. We get food from here every time. Everything is delicious. They make the best Honey BBQ Pork, better than any place that we have eaten. We always order a double portion to have leftovers when we get home (sometimes it doesn't make it). If you haven't tried them, I highly recommend you do so!
13 days in Palm Desert and I’m really missing my Korean Cuckoo rice cooker. I researched various Chinese restaurants in Palm Desert and was impressed with City Wok’s website claims: “our sauces are homemade. We never use MSG. We believe in Clean…” Since all dishes are supposedly made-to-order, we felt that we should be able to order something without garlic in the sauce or content. The interior has more of a California Club ambiance than Chinese Restaurant. The host and servers are friendly enough though. We ordered Chicken Satay, Steamed+ Fried Chicken Dumplings. Braised Tofu was in the online menu, but not showing on the dine-in menu, but they agreed to make it for us. Upon request, they made our dishes without garlic, including the braised tofu. The chicken satays were already marinated with garlic and cannot be changed. First to arrive were the steamed fried dumplings which were ok as European dumplings, but not delicate enough as Chinese dumplings. Parts of the dumplings with double dough were under steamed and tough – this would never have happened in a proper Shanghai restaurant as they would have steamed or boiled the dumplings more thoroughly before frying to get the soft & moist but crispy texture. The house-made sauce was very pleasant. The chicken satays were a big surprise, we expected delicate pieces of chicken tenders on skewers, instead, they were four chicken breasts, each on a stick. The garlic was light and not detectable at the restaurant but the garlic effects was still noticeable long afterwards. The breasts were not tough, on the dry side, and BBQ’d too long, burnt like Portuguese BBQ chicken instead of tender and juicy like Malaysian/Thai/ satays. The difference may be in the size of each piece, since they are so big, they would naturally have to be cooked longer. Because they were so gigantic, it was not possible to enjoy them like bite-size appetizer satays. The rice was a bit dry (not enough water) some people like their rice tough, we prefer our rice more steamy & soft. The tofu dish was OK, again, not very authentic, the bamboo shoots were the toughest I've ever had. Our server was a very nice lady and always approached our table with a smile. She alone gets five stars. The inside section where we sat felt like a fast food place – a different feel than the patio. Unfortunately, all the outside tables were taken. One thing I forgot to try was the half size, it would have been a great idea for the chicken skewers and actually everything else as we left half the chicken and tofu as neither of us enjoy this kind of left over Chinese food as it would have been two greasy on the second day.
Panda Express
Terribly cooked food! I have had Panda many times in different cities and they were reasonably good. However, this food was absolutely horrible and not fit to eat at all. The meat was gray. The broccoli was hard as rocks and the noodles were absolutely disgusting; they were so dry I almost choked. I will never ever get take out here again. I threw everything in the garbage. What they are serving here is garbage. It’s an abomination! Horrible! I do not recommend this facility at all. If you want a good lunch, you will be disappointed here. And it’s very expensive. Go somewhere else is my sage advice.
As far as fast food goes, this place is pretty consistent…. The food is usually pretty fresh and the serving sizes are good too. This location is always clean and well maintained. The staff here tonight were efficient and helpful, even though there was a line out the door. This happens occasionally mid week when they do a school fundraiser.
China Jo's
Best Chinese Food Restaurant in the valley. Absolutely love it, the food is delicious 10/10. My go to plate is rice, noodles and broccoli beef! 🥡🥦. Service is quick and easy, food normally takes a few minutes.
Ordered today through Uber Eats, and the food was completely saturated in oil. Even the outside of the containers is completely saturated, and the bag is full of oil. But apparently when I called the restaurant, they didn’t do anything wrong. Definitely the last time I order from here.
Canton Bistro
I was in Indio for a day on vacation and found this restaurant and ordered sweet and sour shrimp and lo mein for take out. I also gave my name to the clerk at the register, but when I went back and checked the items, they were different, although it was my fault for not checking my name. The clerk called my name, but the product was completely different from the sweet and sour shrimp and lo mein that I spent $40 on someone else's. I am very disappointed and would like a refund. I am very disappointed because I was looking forward to the products.
I've been coming here for years and I really enjoy this place. I got the orange chicken lunch special. It came with soup, rice and an entree. It has so much flavor, its always crispy and fresh!
Palm Tree Palace
We came here for Chinese New Years, and it is awesome. They have a great menu, which is hard to find in the Coachella Valley when it comes to Chinese food. I love roast duck, and it's excellent here. The pan-fried dumplings were outstanding. Loved the Singapore noodles.
Food 5 star Service 5 star Atmosphere 5 star Only problem is I've come here multiple times and fountain sodas are flat. But they have can sodas and other beverages. Food taste good, diffrent flavors Service, they keep checking on you Atmosphere place has good vibe and looks clean. Recommend for everyone! Had Mongolian beef Pork BBQ con Pau chicken
Panda Express
I called this location and talked to a very nice girl named Alexis. I asked her if they had the vegan plant based orange chicken. She said yes. I asked her if it was fresh and that I was driving 12 miles to get it. She said she would make sure that it was cooked fresh and that it would be ready when we got there. This kind of customer service is what dreams are made of.
Really good and filling food. If you're gonna dine in, I would recommend a Bowl because the Plate is really filling and I could barely eat all of it. This is a really good place to order for a family to take home too. It is a bit on the pricey side, but the food is on point. I got the Chow mien, Orange Chicken, and Honey Walnut Shrimp.
PAK INN (China Star)
MY FAVORITE CHINESE SPOT. Pak Inn has been the spot ever since I was little. We Love this spot. After Covid we stopped going and recently just went back and it’s so good. I highly recommend this spot. We are a returned customer! 🥡✨ I now have the chance to enjoy this spot with my husband and he really liked it! The employees are super nice and it’s always so clean. Service is excellent & quick. 1000000/10.
So good. Theyre super fast to serve you and bring your food. Good food temperature. Good salsa. Love coming here ! Super clean restaurant with decent prices.
Pak Inn Chinese Restaurant
We've tried several Chinese restaurants in the area and enjoyed the (takeout) food here the most. Mongolian Beef was very flavorful and a good-sized portion, tasty Shrimp Fried Rice with ample shrimp and egg and a HUGE portion and good Pot Stickers too. We'll be back.
Food is really good..especially the lemon pepper shrimp is awesome
Wok Around
Personally, there's one thing you can't beet about this place, the portions. Their orange chicken is great, and the container is packed. The fried rice and some of their other items are not so... Order a double order of orange chicken or a double order of teriyaki chicken with noodles as a side. You won't be disappointed.
I grew up on this place! So good and portions are big too. I think maybe there is a new owner or manager or something, because recently I have noticed some things are overpriced. I mean, 7.99 for an order of 4 egg rolls is crazy.
Mulan Chinese Restaurant
Nice clean place, great service! Food not so good! Egg flower soup just egg zero flavor. Fried rice just white rice add soy sauce tasted burnt! Awful. Bbq pork slices with a bbq gravy sauce. Ick. Sweet n sour chicken ok not much flavor again! Would we go back? Sadly a Big Noooo!
Just enjoyed a delicious lunch at Mulan Chinese restaurant. I ordered Beef Chop Suey with extra bean sprouts and my husband ordered the Mongolian Beef extra spicy. Each of our dishes were freshly made and served piping hot. Both of our entrees were so tasty. There was so much food we took food home for another meal. The soup and spring roll served with the Lunch Combination Plate really completed our meal. We definitely will visit next time we're in Indio. Enjoy!
Panda Express
Saw the server today, wearing the same gloves the entire time, serving people’s food, cleaning, touching the register, the cash, then back to cleaning and serving customers without changing to another set of gloves. She is going to get someone severely sick.
Very disappointed I got here 8:553 And it took them five minutes to ask me what can I do for you? I told them what I want fried rice with orange chicken and fried rice with mandarin chicken Bana the ladies name let me know. They don’t have fried rice anymore and the day were already close. The manager of the store is Christian, but he wasn’t here , They supposed to have food into they close. I don’t know. I might be wrong, but they didn’t have a lot of of the food that they usually have they offer me white rice. That’s all they have.
