Authentic Shanghai food with some adjustments. Not as sweet as Shanghai local flavor. I like spicy meat w noodles, dumplings, seasonal greens and pork ribs w rice cake.

Total Score: 8.60 Bathroom: 3/5 Somewhat clean and somewhat functional Customer Service: 4.5/5 Very friendly and gave us a lot of recommendations for what to eat. Also actually spoke Shanghainese Ambiance: 4/5 A but dirty but that’s iconic and it was bustling. There were various chinese newspaper clippings along the walls. Food: 5/5 It was authentic, it was bussin. Wow: 0.5/1 Shanghainese food was SERVED. Total Score = BR + CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW

We came here for the lunar new year celebration. One of my colleagues is from Yunnan and testified that the Yunnan food here is authentic. We ordered mint beef, which is refreshing. The clay pot rice is the best of the day. Rice cake is not bad. A little too salty and spicy. Grilled fish has a really large portion. $150 for 5 people. $30/pp. recommend for group of people.

We ordered fried rice from this restaurant, and what happened next was truly shocking. I found a large piece of glass in my food and unknowingly bit into it. The glass shattered into three pieces, two of which are shown in the picture, while the smallest one isn’t. I felt an immediate sharp pain. And I still felt the impact for hours afterward. Can you imagine if this had happened to a child? The consequences could have been even more severe. I have already scheduled a dentist appointment to assess any potential trauma to my teeth. This kind of negligence is unacceptable, and I hope action is taken to prevent it from happening to anyone else. Be careful!!

Truly a delight, a bit Woke decor wise, lol, but phenomenal Won Ton Soup with Chicken, super bubbly staff, freshly prepared, clean, quick and everyone eats together almost like old style Euro spots.. Mostly Asian clientele prices it is legit Duck Fried Rice would make Gordon Ramsay giggle. Now gonna be a regular. Great rival to Home Eats, more hipster homespun ..

I don’t usually leave reviews but Teo Chow was actually one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve gone to in the Bay Area. The broth was so flavourful and delicious. The portion size was awesome - I’m so used to getting a couple of tiny pieces of duck that are mostly bones at so many restaurants but they did not skimp out on the duck! The duck was meaty and tasty and the wontons were delicious - I had to buy a pack to take home for myself! Then the service was amazing - the girls at the counter were very friendly and kind. Will definitely be going regularly!

Huge menu but I'm here to rave about their spicy dry pot. It's a huge portion to be shared family style. The combination of flavor and ingredient is incredible, haven't had anything as good for quite awhile. Personally I highly recommend the spicy dry pot with intestine. You can select spicy level. Plenty of parking in the lot. 5% off if you pay cash. Typical chinese restaurant, zero ambiance and mediocre service, but that's how you know it's authentic. Expect to pay 25-30 per person.

Easily one of my favorite authentic Chinese places in the bay area. Try their dry pot. It's Chongqing style so fairly spicy but you can control spice level.

Worse place ever! Ordered Shrimp Egg Foo Young. Came with 4 patties only had 2 shrimp in one patty out of all 3! Asked for fried rice and was given white rice! The gravy was watery and runny I couldn’t even eat it so I just wasted my money and it wasn’t cheap🤦🏾‍♂️. The only excuse they had when I called back was he laughed it off and said oh I got it wrong we’ve been busy all day! Just all around unacceptable! I’m a disabled person and can’t even return it because my aide picked it up for me before she got off work!

I've been going to Pekings in Fremont, Oh for years!! They are the best I've ever eaten at, and their egg rolls, wonton soup, and bread are delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant, but they have no in house dining anymore. Their call ahead drive thru is very quick and efficient. Get alot of food for the price - you won't go hungry.

The rice is very round. I’m unsure why I came here, because I don’t eat spice at all. If I liked spices, I image that I would find this experience quite enjoyable. Otherwise, I love how round and perfectly spherical the rice is.

Always amazed by the authentic Sichuan/Hunan food in homemade style and friendly waiters every time I go to this cozy restaurant. There are reasons why it’s been there for many years and still so popular.

There are only two decent places to eat dim sum in Fremont. They heat to order and have a spacious dinning room. The only thing I would critique is 8-12 per dim sum dish and the consistent concert videos being displayed.

Had a banguet style dinner for 10 people at the restaurant for a price of $1,100 or so Food was terrible and of low quality. Instead of rock cod, we were served something else. It was tough and overcooked. We suspect a pigeon dish was cooked and served with pork. They dared to serve 2 small one-pound lobsters for ten people. Photo attached. Service was good. Will not go there for group dinner again.

We had the Golden Soup Beef, Spicy Lamb, Dry Pot Shredded Cabbage, and Golden Soup Sea Bass. Everything was super flavorful! The lamb was tender with no gamey taste, and the cabbage had that perfect smoky crunch. The sea bass was so fresh (they use live fish!), and the rich bone broth with rice noodles made it even better. If you’re into bold, spicy flavors, definitely check this place out!

The place is nicely decorated. Service is fast. Food is decent. I just came back from Christmas meal, and service was not that great. They probably did not have enough staff. Food is pretty delicious.

Great tasting dishes with the usual items. There are combo sets available too. Dishes come in to go containers. Seating is limited. Worth checking if you want to try dim sum in fast food setting.

This is the hidden gem of dim sum in Fremont. Their dim sum is yummy and fresh and are reasonably priced. Owners are friendly and accommodative. The restaurant has limited seating but there are a few outdoor seats. Cash only below $30. People love to take out. They serve dim sum all day (except afternoon breaks from 3-4pm). They also offer oolong tea and green tea for free.

Aug 2024 We ordered Szechuan Beef, Mongolian Lamb, Hot and Sour soup, House Chow Mein with thin noodles, Orange Chicken, Black Pepper Beef, and House Fried Rice. Everything was superb!!! We ate at the restraunt, but most people do takeout. Outstanding service and cheerful owner. Parking is free and plentiful. July 2024 Hot and Sour soup was exceptionally great. Fried rice and other items were outstanding. LOVE THIS PLACE! Jun2024 Outstanding Szechuan Chinese Food!!! Excellent menu selection. After our favorite Chinese restraunts closed, we have now found our new favorite!!! The Szechuan Beef was outstanding, and so was the Mongolian Lamb. I prefer thinner chow mein noodles. Great service! Very reasonably priced.

I had the pleasure of dining here, and it did not disappoint! The service was fantastic—our waiter was friendly, efficient, and really made us feel at home. The food was a highlight—tender and flavorful, especially the sweet and sour chicken and crispy fried rice. The ambiance was peaceful and charming, with soft lighting and beautiful traditional Chinese décor, making it a great spot for a relaxing dinner with family or friends. A must-visit for anyone craving authentic Chinese cuisine!

The food and atmosphere is good! Also some main dishes can tell that are prepared earlier but the flavor is nice. good for sharing with friends and will recommend菜很下饭! The price is a little bit pricy but normal in Bay Area

We came here for the second time to try their new mushrooms dishes. Last time when they first lauched the Yunnan serials food, we were surprised by the flavor and creativity however this time the new fried rice and steamed egg custard taste a bit flavorless. Don’t get me wrong because I still think they are good food but the mushrooms fragrance was not strong enough and didn’t seep into the other ingredients well enough. There is room for improvement. I still recommend the other Yunnan dishes like simmered rice and potatoes in copper pot, pork fat fried vegetable, mixed mushroom fry with cured meat and the seasonal drink.

It wasn’t first time ordering here and Yelp showed good reviews especially for their walnut shrimp and house fried rice special. They are located walking distance from me so I decided to give them a try. I called to place the order before picking up and had a couple of questions about the meals and how they come etc. again I have never been here I’m going off the information I can find on Yelp. I’m not sure who I spoke to but they said “ it should not take you 5 minutes to place an order” then -click- they hung up on my face. That should have been my sign not to pick up my order but I walked several blocks to pick up the most foul Chinese food I’ve had in recent years. The shrimp was far from fresh, it tasted and smelled fishy. The house rice also had the shrimp in it so it made it hard to eat because that also smelled and tasted fishy. The beef in the rice was decent but please save your money. I had to throw away $30+ worth of food. I would rather find a Panda Express. On a lighter note the boba shop this is connected to is so cute and the drinks are so good. I’d highly recommend them. I gave them two stars for the tea shop, I discovered it because of their food.

We recently relocated last May to Fremont and happened to come across this whole in the wall Chinese restaurant about 3 months ago and we loved it. We tried another Chinese restaurant in Fremont awhile back and we were not impressed. Today my husband suggested we get Chinese food and we headed on over. OMG this little hidden gem is worth every penny because their food is fresh, VERY DELICIOUS and affordable. I also want to add that the portions are big!!! Love love love this yummyness 🤤😋
