Sam Woo Barbeque
Excellent Cantonese bbq! One of the best roast duck place I been to. Juicy, tender, and flavorful. There is plenty of sitting area like a normal restaurant, but most people come here for the to go. Service is pretty fast but there is always people waiting for the take out.
I was missing for a taste of home and wanted some Chinese BBQ. Recommended by many users online, we decided Sam Woo was the place to try Chinese bbq in the city. Atmosphere and service are similar as to other family owned, hole in the wall restaurants; which was certainly homey. We ordered the 3 type of BBQ with rice. I got BBQ Duck, ChaSiu, and Soy Sauce chicken. Upon first bites of everything, I noticed the meats were all cold — an unusual feeling while chewing down the assortment of bbq. Oddly, the chicken was bland and “wet”, not in a juicy way, but just “wet”. Although the rice was soft and delicious, which was the highlight, I thought the overall plate was just okay. Was hoping for better as I gleaned from the reviews, but nonetheless, still glad I tried.
China Great Buffet
I went looking for crab legs. They had them, but they no longer had hot crab legs. These were cold. The food was still good, but not as amazing as I remembered their dishes to be. The service was way off. I did not see any of the waitress smiling, nor did they seem happy to help. It will be a good minute before I visit this establishment again.
Another buffet called "China Great Buffet". Here Lunch on weekday from Momday till Friday only $16.99/person. They serve sushi, seafood, soups and much more chinese food. They got so much dessert too from fruits til ice cream, they even have popcorn! But when you come here you have to pay first before you start to eat. While the tipping you may give it up to you and put on your table before you leave. There is one food that from many of chonese buffet they dont have but here they have its Pork feet! If you love pork feet, so here the.right place to eat, beside the taste good they porkn feet also soft not like other place.
Nanjing Duck House
The most authentic Nanjing Salty Duck, I have bought from this restaurant for years! The old owner was from Nanjing and the recipe was from the most famous duck restaurant in that region, but sadly after Covid they only provided take out service, it still the same quality even after the new owner took over the store! Their duck were purchased from different state, less fat and more tender meet, and the cutting skill kept the way it should be, each piece is thinner and neat!
The restaurant is ran by a lady genuinely from Nanjing. I can tell by her way of speaking Chinese. The salted duck is great. She has a lot of pride in her duck recipe.
JTYH Restaurant
This place was busy. The food was very good and the service was good. The price is average. I think this place is overlooked by people because there are a lot of noodle places in this area. The noodles here are freshly made and the wonton that I had was full of flavor that you want in a dumpling. I think what could have been better was the beef in the noodle could have been cooked a little longer to make it more tender. But the noodles and dumpling were spot on. I hope they can improve on the beef because that would be important to my family and me to enjoy our noodle dishes.
I recently discovered this place with my friend. The food was pretty good the first time I was there, but the service was so-so, which was kind of expected in this area. Because the food tasted pretty good, I decided to take my grandma and aunt here for lunch. We ordered simmered noodle soup, mung bean jelly, and pan-fried buns. There was a long wait between each of the dishes, so we ended up eating each dish one by one, which is not typical for Chinese food. We were almost done with the mung bean jelly before the simmered noodle soup was served, and the pan-fried buns were still not there when we almost finished the simmered noodle. When we finally saw the buns, the waiter/owner served them to a table that came later than us but ordered the same dish. We thought maybe he forgot, so we went to ask him. He was very unapologetic and rude about it. He said, "What do you want me to do about it?" That just ruined our day, which was supposed to be a fun outing with my 90-year-old grandma. No matter how good the food tastes, it's not worth it. I understand that people make mistakes in placing orders sometimes, so I'm not mad about that. It's his attitude, which was just terrible. I don't see them staying in business for long if they don't change how they treat customers. This could have been a four or five-star review, but now it's a one. No food is good enough to ruin your mood for.
Best Noodle House
Years ago my mom randomly came to this store after a gig in the area, and she was shocked by how good it was. We happened to be in the area again, and my mom INSISTED on coming here. We ordered number 1 and some cucumbers. Clean, rich flavors. We got mild, and while there’s a kick it isn’t overwhelming. Numbing spice though! Cucumbers were fresh, salty and rich on the outside and crisp. Unassuming interior, delicious meal.
Came to place because I like the confidence. It's a a good noodle house, one of the better ones been too. Good combo of soup and noodles flavor was all on point. The service was great, and for the price you get a good amount of food.
SzeChuan delicious川娃子私房菜
This place is pretty good for szechuan food. The best fish was the cold pork belly with garlic sauce. The meat was tender and there was noodles underneath it and the sauce was very good. The steamed pork slices were also very good and hearty. The wonton in chili oil was surprisingly also good. The boiled fish with pickles and green beans were decent. The overall taste of this place is interesting in that the mala isn't as strong as other Szechuan places. So that might be a turn off for some. The staff was nice and brought out the dishes in a timely order but kind of inattentive at times like filling the water. The atmosphere feels nice and quiet and homely.
I had a pleasant Sichuan dinner here back in February 2024. Def a solid spot - and hidden gem - for good spicy Chinese food. The business owners are also very nice. They spoke Mandarin but also a bit of English. Parking was easy. They have bathrooms in the back. Prices are very reasonable (compared to places in Alhambra/Monterey Park).
Happy AYCE Hot Pot Rosemead 洛杉矶开心火锅
Was craving hot pot on this cold gloomy day and this place definitely delivered. A great variety of cooked foods and the meats and veggies were very fresh. Thank you to our servers Wendy & Sophia for this great first time experience!
Good overall experience dining the hotpot here. We made a reservation and were brought to our table quickly upon arrival. The staff was also very attentive and friendly. Dishes were also good. Nevertheless still a 4 star for me as the hotpot meat quality could be improved as the cuts (beef, pork) were much more fatty than normal hotpots
Delicious Food Corner
The food is pretty average, nothing special, but not bad either. The waiter is good, getting my milk tea refill without me have to ask. And the price is decent. I would come back again.
So I just visited Hong Kong a few months back and the wifey and I was craving some authentic HK style breakfast hence we decided to head over to the Delicious Food Corner on Valley Blvd in Rosemead. We got there just right after they open because we weren’t sure if there was gonna be a wait since it is a popular HK style eatery in the area, luckily we got seated right away and was greeted by the servers with the menus. My wifey ordered the beef congee with rice stick and chow mein combo and I ordered the Sautee Beef Instant noodle combo with their HK famous Pineapple Bun. The food came fairly quickly and we dove right in and boy did it hit the spot as everything was spot on with what we had back in HK. The congee was favorable and smooth while the rice stick and chow mein was cook just right not too greasy which made everything perfect. The Sautee Beef Instant noodle was also superb with the right amount of curry and soupy flavor which I was so craving for and the pineapple bun was down just right with the butter melted but not burnt. The hot milk tea that we ordered along with our combos completed the whole meal as you can rarely get the perfect cup of HK style milk tea from other places and they did their tea just right. Overall it was a great breakfast experience and we will be back for lunch or dinner soon!!
China Bistro
A cozy restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The food was served promptly and was delicious. Entrées averaged around $17 each. Recommend this place for a very good meal!
This restaurant has some outdoor seating, mainly for smokers or when indoor seating is totally packed. The food is tasty and tends to be seasoned a bit too salty for our group. The restaurant does get busy especially on the weekends. Parking can be a challenge depending on the time. The parking lot is also quite confusing as drivers tend to drive the wrong way while trying to find parking spots or trying to get to the other side of the parking lot. Service can be a bit slow when it is packed.
Beijing Tasty House
Hidden gem in San Gabriel! Beijing Yuan offers an incredible $13.5 rice bowl special — and it’s way better than you’d expect for the price. I had the fish-flavored shredded pork and Beijing cold noodles, and both were delicious. The pork was juicy and perfectly balanced between sweet, sour, and spicy. The cold noodles were super authentic and refreshing. Plus, you get a free salad, oolong tea, and even fried milk for dessert! Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and unbeatable value. Will definitely be coming back!
Absolutely fantastic experience at Beijing Tasty House! The food was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish we ordered was a hit, especially the Peking duck and zhajiang noodles — both were incredibly delicious and reminded me of true Beijing-style cooking. The service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made great recommendations based on our tastes. The restaurant was clean, well-lit, and had a welcoming atmosphere. Even though it was busy, we didn’t have to wait long. Definitely one of the best Chinese dining experiences I’ve had in the area. Can’t wait to come back!
China Express
Love this place had to review it. I eat here a lot. The price is great. It's for the quality of food and the portions are outrageous. The place is very clean. Big-ticket, really good care. The service is excellent. What's even better is the prices. It's almost comparative to making my own food its that good priced. Sometimes I wonder why you go to the grocery market when I can just go to. They're trying to express for the same price. They cook for me. Anyway try it out it's good chinese food.At fast and clean and well priced huge portions. They work really hard too keep ir clean and organized which i notice and respect.
Very friendly staff. They will make it fresh if you don't like what is on display. It's very reasonably priced, and large portion(see photo's). I want with opinion C, that comes with 3 choices. I got the BBQ pork, and teriyaki chicken, with lo moin noodles and a large coke it was just under $12.00. I've been here four times now. I can say with certainty that the food is great. I have tried every item they offer now. Best part is they add new items, every now and then. Will always recommend this restaurant to anyone that is hungry for good food.
New Kim Tar BBQ Restaurant
It is nice Chinese restaurant, located in Valley Boulevard area of City of Industry. I have read good reviews, about this restaurant. So, one day, after work, in May of 2024, I decided to grab my dinner at this establishment. When I came, there was ample of space, to sit down, and enjoy a meal. Of course, my visit was in the middle of the week. In addition, the staff were helpful and attentive. They also recommended certain meals to try out. Those meals were well-made, and in timely manner. At the same time, they were delicious. Of course, the prices, too, were not on the expensive side. So, if anyone is in City of Industry or La Puente area, I would recommend to stop by this restaurant. It is located at Rhino Plaza shopping area.
It is a good Chinese cuisine restaurant. I have visited this restaurant, once, in the middle of 2024, after leaving my work. So, after reading good reviews, about this establishment, I thought to have my dinner. Oh boy, I was not disappointed. The meals, that I have ordered, were delicious. Furthermore, they were well made. At the same time, the waitress, who attended my table, was helpful, and attentive. I forgot to add that there was ample of space, to sit down, and enjoy a meal. Still, I cannot vouch, about the ability of free space, on Fridays, or during weekend. Nevertheless, the tables, themselves, were neat. Of course, I cannot forget to mention, the prices were not on the expensive side. So, if anyone is in City of Industry or La Puente area, I would recommend to stop by this establishment. The deliciousness of meals is worth the visit.
